FAQ:
Q: What will my child need to bring?
Children will be inside AND outside throughout the week. Please check the weather and make sure that your child is dressed appropriately for each day (Backpack, jacket, hat, sunscreen, closed-toed shoes, water bottle, etc.)
Q: Will my child be fed?
Monday through Thursday, we will be providing snacks and lunch for your children. Please make sure that your children eat breakfast prior to each day. On Thursday, we will be having a lunch for children AND parents to celebrate and wrap up Summer Bash!
Q: My child is/turning 5 this year, but was born in 2020. Can they still attend Summer Bash?
Unfortunately, no. This year, registration is open to
children born in 2019
and earlier who are
already part of our Bigs classroom
. Since this will be a full-day experience, we want to ensure all participants are ready for the extended schedule.
Q: My child is 11 and currently serves as a Junior Leader. Does that mean they can’t serve at Summer Bash?
Not this year! We’re committed to making sure every child who calls EC home gets to experience Summer Camp. This will be their final year participating as part of EC Kids, and we’re also excited to celebrate them with an EC Kids graduation in September!
Q: My child(ren) want to come, but we can't afford the cost of registration at this time. What do we do?

Restorative dentistry makes up a large part of our daily work as general dentists. Day in and day out, patient’s present with different situations and challenges. We as dentists want to deliver the best possible outcomes for our patients. Our goal is to share how we achieve beautiful, efficient, and less stressful restorative dentistry through our protocols. Let’s make restorative dentistry enjoyable for all practitioners, so you can look forward to daily dentistry, from common posterior restorations to esthetic class IV composites. We will cover how to manage cases with isolation and adhesive strategies, followed by improving your composite techniques. The second day will feature indirect restorative techniques, focusing on adhesive restorations using glass ceramics. We will discuss treatment planning and the decision making process when utilizing an indirect approach.

2. Bonding decisions and techniques
3. Class II composite protocols
4. Class IV composite protocols

The Alberta Business Awards of Distinction was initially created by Alberta Economic Development and Tourism in 1992 during a merger of the Alberta Export Achievement Awards and the Alberta Small Business Owner of the Year Awards. The Government of Alberta originally presented the Alberta Business Awards of Distinction in the fall of each year from 1992 to 1995.
In 1996, the Alberta Chambers of Commerce took over the management and presentation of the Awards, and in 2017, took over full ownership of the program. The Alberta Business Awards of Distinction are 100 percent funded by the Alberta Chambers of Commerce and the generous support of its partners.

Notes on Attending in Person - What You Can Expect
The building is two stories and we will be using both. There is an enclosed lift as well as stairs to access the second floor. Access into the building is via a short set of stairs or full length access ramp.
Coffee, tea, water and nurishing snacks will be provided throughout.
Washrooms are gender neutral single rooms.
Parking is primarily street parking around the building with a mixture of free and paid parking - please take note of signs in the specific location you park.
The building is directly across from the Sunalta C-train station with a marked cross walk including lights.
This year we are offering these in person only sessions at the Sunalta Community Hub in Calgary as well as online only sessions via Zoom. We'd love to have you at one or both. You will need to register for both separately if you choose to do so.

Your instructor, Vanja will guide you through the process of creating painted paper textures, then cut and collage them into delicate moths, adding final touches with pencil crayons to bring them to life.
