Family Hotels in Rio de Janeiro State, Brazil

Overall a nice trip, and a pretty fancy hotel for the price. I would consider it more like a 4**** hotel than a 5 star, personally. highlights: - beautiful lobby and view from our room of the mountains, beach, etc. - kind people at the desk and otherwise. very safe inside even though neighborhood is a bit sketchy at times. - great bed, windows, bathtub, etc.. - affordable as an american for level of service. - spa and rooftop restaurant are amazing. gym is great too! dealbreakers: (may stop me from booking next time) - wifi was basically broken the entire time in our room, and in the hotel at times. less than 10mbits, and no signal in most of our room. front desk said several times they'd fix but I don't think they have the ability to actually fix it. many other people had this issue as well. at a 5* hotel, this should not be happening. major issue, had to do meetings in the lobby to get it to function at all. - breakfast is *good* but definitely caters towards a local brazilian diet (very few options for vegans). as a vegetarian, I'll just say I ate a lot of eggs and cheese. but hey, that's brazil so not digging on the hotel too much on that. - elevator is incredibly busy, and there were times where it literally said ”not available” and we had to wait 5 minutes to actually use it. - there are *TONS* of families with kids in and around the pool when we went. so environment was quite loud and crazy most of the time. they do timeshares so I think mostly big families frequent the hotel. - we booked and paid extra for the *Junior Suite* (with a large living room as well as bath). the front desk gave us the *room with bath* which ended up being nice.. but is half the size, and refused to put us in the junior suite room, even after showing the reservation. this may be a Trip.com issue instead of the hotel.. but they didn't offer any compensation or flexibility for us. trip did refund us the difference in price though. overall, its a great deal for the price, and the architecture is amazing, the room is nice, good water pressure. horrible wifi and very few vegetarian options made it difficult to recommend again, but we liked our stay nonetheless.

Wonderful hotel! The receptionist who checked me in was an absolute delight (sorry, I can't recall her name). All the staff were consistently helpful and kind, truly deserving of praise. The bed linen and towels were so fresh and fragrant, we could smell their cleanliness before even stepping into the room. The room was always impeccably cleaned and tidied whenever we were out. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of options, and they were always quick to replenish items. The location is great, close to everything! Just 15 minutes from Arraial and near Bairro da Passagem, which is perfect for an evening out. There's excellent covered parking, an enjoyable pool, and a really good sauna! We loved absolutely everything about our stay!

The best beach in Rio, there are many tourists, queue for breakfast, wait for 20 minutes for each elevator, it is cost-effective. The service is not good, I asked for something to be sent to the room, but it was not given to me in the end, and the waiter did not speak English very well.

Hotel room is huge, the facility is a bit old and the windows are not top to bottom, but I still get amazing views.. There's no free bottled water provided. This is a very odd thing for a five star hotel. I used the spa treatment as well, it was okay. The location is very good, right next to the beach. There is a big supermarket nearby.

I was with my husband and my 2-year-old son, we absolutely loved everything. The room was wonderful, everything was clean, the staff very sympathetic and demanding. The breakfast is a good choice, and the restaurant's food is great! My son loved the pool and the kids area, enjoyed the monitored activities.

Ficamos hospedados por 5 dias na Pousada Corais e Conchas (eu, minha esposa e nossa filha) e só temos elogios a fazer! Desde o momento da chegada até a nossa saída, tudo foi simplesmente maravilhoso. Atendimento: A cordialidade e simpatia de todos os funcionários fazem toda a diferença. Um destaque especial para o Leandro do restaurante, sempre muito atencioso e prestativo. Café da manhã: Incrível! Muita variedade e qualidade. Os omeletes, crepes, tapiocas e waffles feitos na hora são deliciosos e tornam a refeição ainda mais especial. Limpeza: Os quartos estavam sempre impecáveis, com um aroma de limpeza que dava aquela sensação de conforto e cuidado. Área de lazer: A piscina e o ofurô com água climatizada são um convite para relaxar — ficamos com vontade de não sair de lá! Recreação infantil: Um dos pontos altos da pousada! A recreação funciona das 10h às 19h, e as monitoras são extremamente simpáticas e carinhosas. Nossa filha se divertiu o tempo todo, o que fez toda a diferença para nós. Localização: Excelente! A pousada fica a apenas 150 metros da praia de Geribá, e ainda oferece cadeiras e guarda-sol aos hóspedes. Gastronomia: O restaurante da pousada tem preços justos e pratos muito bem servidos. Também visitamos outros restaurantes do grupo — Pizzaria Primitivo (Rua das Pedras), Raízes (Praia dos Manguinhos) e Casa Blanca (Porto da Barra) — todos excelentes. No final, ainda fomos surpreendidos com uma garrafa de vinho de cortesia, um gesto que demonstra o cuidado e atenção com os hóspedes. Enfim, tudo foi perfeito: atendimento, estrutura, conforto e gastronomia. Esperamos voltar em breve, pois foi uma das melhores experiências que já tivemos em Búzios!

Hotel muito acolhedor, funcionários sempre muito atenciosos.. Só não conseguimos aproveitar a área da piscina, sempre muito cheia!

The service at the pool by the waiters, especially Danilo, deserves a round of applause. The menu has fair prices for different tastes and dishes. Everything very delicious. Don't forget to try the super filling shrimp pastry and the sun-dried meat with cassava. We didn't like the noise from the air conditioning, and the service from the reservations department, staff who were harsh in their responses. Excellent pool. Location note 1000

Close to the pier, the surrounding area is relatively remote, there is no place to eat, it is the city center, it is more convenient to take a taxi to go anywhere, catch up with a Chinese sunset red tour group, quite lively.
