The hotel is right inside the ancient city, so ride-hailing cars can't get in. You can contact the front desk in advance to have them arrange an electric shuttle from the ancient city to pick you up.
The hotel seems to be quite large, and the location is excellent. The snack street is just a few steps away, making it very convenient to watch glove puppetry and enjoy the night scenery in the evening. The front desk staff were very enthusiastic, helping with luggage and answering all our questions. I highly recommend this place if you're visiting Zhangzhou Ancient City.
Now for a few negatives. Since we arrived early, we were assigned a courtyard with a terrible view; the opposite side was quite dilapidated and really spoiled the scenery. Also, there was no introduction to the room facilities when we checked in, so we had to figure everything out ourselves. It would be great if they could send an explanation via WeChat. Additionally, it gets quite cold at night in winter, and there's no heating. Luckily, the duvet was thick enough.
Overall, it was a good experience, with the positives outweighing the negatives, especially the excellent service attitude.
P.S. The hotel has a rooftop terrace you can access, which is an amazing spot for photos. They didn't mention it when I stayed, but I found it myself.

I checked into the hotel on the first day of Fuzhou's cold snap in January 2026. My 70-something mother was extremely satisfied with her three-day, two-night stay, calling it her first trip of the New Year where she truly 'lived within Fuzhou culture'.
The hotel is perfectly located in Wenfurong, right in the heart of the Three Lanes and Seven Alleys. Stepping out, you're immediately immersed in ancient alleys, the famous 'heart-shaped tree' photo spot, and various Fuzhou snacks. Evening strolls were particularly enjoyable. Despite being in the center of a tourist area, the hotel itself was surprisingly quiet, offering a peaceful retreat amidst the hustle and bustle.
The hotel is a charming conversion of an old Fuzhou traditional house (gucuo). Upon entering, you're greeted by a strong sense of scholarly elegance and historical charm. The courtyards, carved windows, and koi pond are all exquisite; every corner offers a picturesque, ancient-style photo opportunity. The front desk service was also very thoughtful; they proactively helped with luggage and patiently introduced nearby attractions and local delicacies, which made me feel very welcome.
We were upgraded to a courtyard room, which had a beautiful antique feel with meticulous attention to detail. It featured wooden furniture, screens, tea sets, and even a few books about Fuzhou family culture, creating a truly immersive experience. The toiletries were from Clarins, a nice quality touch.
Breakfast also deserves a mention. It offered authentic Fuzhou specialties like Rouyan (meat wontons), fish balls, Laohua (local noodle soup), and taro paste desserts. The taste was very authentic. The only minor issue was that the restaurant was a bit cold due to the sudden drop in temperature in Fuzhou, but to our pleasant surprise, on the second day, we found foot warmers provided, showing great thoughtfulness in their service.

The room was very clean and tidy. There are many great places to eat and things to do nearby. The service was excellent! (Just an FYI, the original review also mentioned 'Zhangzhou Pinghe Specialty: Baiya Qilan Tea' and '20% off Zhangzhou Puppet Show tickets (with booking assistance)' which seem like additional offerings, not part of the hotel review itself.)
The hotel's breakfast was incredibly rich and varied! We stayed for two nights, and since we were in a hurry on the first day, we made sure to wake up early on the second day to fully enjoy it. There were four of us, and as soon as the staff saw us, they immediately and efficiently put tables together for us, getting us well-settled. What stood out was Ms. Luo from the breakfast restaurant; seeing that my elder companion had mobility issues, she proactively helped carry our food to the table with a smile and a wonderful attitude. To top it off, she even brought us a complimentary fruit platter at the end. Truly exceptional and thoughtful service!

I gave it a 4.5-star rating, just to keep them humble and prevent them from getting too proud if it were a perfect 5. 😉 The hotel lobby, though small, is cozy and welcoming. There was a lovely, round-faced lady at the front desk who was especially friendly. The bed in the room was very comfortable, and despite being close to the road, the windows offered good sound insulation. However, the soundproofing between rooms wasn't as great. 😅 The restaurant is on the sixth floor; while the breakfast selection isn't vast, it's sufficient. The rooftop view is also quite nice, making it a perfect spot for sunbathing and relaxing. All in all, I was quite satisfied with my stay!

The hotel is in an excellent location, very close to the South Station. If you take the subway, it's just a ten-minute walk from Exit B. There are many restaurants nearby, and there's a parking lot, which is very convenient for those driving. The staff are enthusiastic, diligent, and responsible. Housekeeping is prompt, and they refresh the fruit and drinks daily. The room is spacious with a great view. Breakfast is plentiful, and the service staff always greet guests warmly, cleaning up promptly. Highly recommended, I'll definitely come back again.

The shangri-la putian is conveniently located opposite a huge shopping mall and beside a garden. The room was nice and cosy and the service was attentive and impeccable, with Melvin (?) accompanying us to the room and constantly asked if we needed help with anything. All the staff were friendly and helpful and gave us many suggestions on where we could go during our stay and rarely have we experienced such excellent level of hospitality when staying at similar hotels. The river view we had was amazing. Food at shang garden was tasty, and Lydia's service was excellent, offering us extra snacks and soup. The portions served were huge and reasonably priced. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Putian!

This is one of the best hotel experiences I've had recently. Considering the price, it offers exceptional value for money! I'd say the actual experience is on par with what you'd expect from a 2000 RMB hotel overseas.
We stayed for four nights, which gave us a thorough and in-depth understanding of every aspect of the hotel.
The room layout is well-designed with detailed partitioning, making every experience very comfortable. The lighting, in particular, is thoughtfully arranged, and the switches are easy to use! It's clear that the designer not only has an aesthetic eye but also prioritizes practical user experience, balancing both appearance and functionality – which is fantastic!
The hotel service was also excellent. Both the front desk and housekeeping staff were very attentive; they genuinely seemed dedicated to their work and not just going through the motions.
The hotel's location is also very convenient, offering a quiet retreat in the midst of a bustling area. On our last day, we even walked to Yushan, allowing us to deeply experience local life.
An unexpected surprise on my trip to Zhangzhou! It rained in Zhangzhou, so I spent three days and two nights on Dongshan Island. It rained constantly, and I couldn't get close to the ocean. So, I decided to check out the Tulou (earth buildings) on a whim. I rented a car, enjoyed Yunshui Yao, and drove back to Zhangzhou Old Town. After getting off the highway, I started looking for a hotel. I looked at the online reviews and decided on this one. The reviews were spot-on. The villa was right by the river, only about 10 yuan from the Old Town by Didi. The room had a bathtub, as did the balcony. My hasty departure meant I didn't get to soak in the hot springs or enjoy a cup of tea by the Jiulong River, which was a pity. Next time I come back, Zhangzhou has so much more to offer—beautiful sights and delicious food!
Go for it, you won't regret it! This hot spring hotel delivered all the happiness I needed. The environment is absolutely stunning! Surrounded by green mountains, the hot spring pools are nestled among lush greenery, with mist rising all around like a fairy tale – perfect for photos! The service is impeccable; from the moment I was greeted upon arrival, through check-in, and guidance to the hot springs, the staff were constantly smiling, attentive, and incredibly warm, always ready to help. The food deserves huge praise too; the Chinese and Western buffets offered a huge variety, the desserts were exquisite, and even breakfast was so abundant it was dazzling! The value for money is top-notch. I've already recommended it to my best friend, and I definitely plan to come back for a second visit!

MM46124****The stay was very comfortable. It's not far from the South High-Speed Railway Station. The hotel is quiet and exquisite. Suki at the front desk even helped us upgrade our room. Because we have a baby, she specially arranged for us to stay on the tenth floor, a non-smoking floor. She was very considerate. I felt very good about this trip to Fuzhou.

YYiqitiaowu~I booked the Banyuashan Hot Spring Hotel through Trip.com for my holiday, and it was absolutely worth it! From booking to check-in, the process was seamless. The front desk handled everything quickly, and the staff were incredibly warm and attentive. The room itself was clean, tidy, and had a cozy atmosphere.
The hotel's hot spring area was truly exceptional, with over fifty unique pools. The water was crystal clear, and after a soak, I felt completely refreshed. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options, both Western and Chinese, catering to all tastes. Plus, there are several attractions nearby, making it very convenient to get around. I sincerely thank Trip.com for helping me find such a fantastic hotel; I'll definitely rely on them for my next trip!

LLynn Cleo DennisonOverall the stay was great. There are just a few incidents that I did not appreciate. As a black international family, constant looks and whispers from staff members was very uncomfortable for my family. Other travelers also constantly took pictures of us. The breakfast was imbalanced and was more catered to Chinese customers. Croissants were advertised but nowhere to be found. We changed our stay from 2 nights to 3 nights to enjoy more time in the hot springs and swimming amenities and staff were great. The staff in the restaurant during breakfast need more training on how to treat black foreigners and not look down on us, we were after all paying to stay here. We had dinner at the restaurant on one of the days and were told there’s no beef for the pasta. Please train the restaurant staff! Also a suggestion, if people book more than 2 nights, let them have unlimited access to the hot springs. It just makes sense. The playing area is in the restaurant for families information, you can’t access the playing area if the restaurant isn’t open. Overall a good experience.

GGuest UserEnvironment: The environment of the hot spring hotel that ranks first is really great. From the internet-famous infinity pool to the cave hot springs in the hot spring area, they are all very photogenic and beautiful.
Service: All the stars are for the waiters in the hot spring area. Because we took a bath at night, they reminded us to pay attention to safety and handed us hot water. When we took pictures, they also gave us some light. The waiters in the locker room also prepared towels in advance. The whole process was very proactive service, which must be praised. The hotel's service is also good, but it may be a little negligent because there are few people, but it is still within an acceptable range.
Facilities: The 2-bedroom and 1-living room was upgraded. The layout and facilities are the same as the photos, but the location is really better. From the window of the room, you can see green everywhere. The oxygen ions are definitely enough. The air in the mountains can give you a good relief.

The hotel's overall style is more traditional, and the facilities aren't brand new. There's no self-service laundry, and the hairdryer is an older model, which takes a while to dry hair. Also, during peak dining hours, many guests order food delivery. With a limited number of delivery robots, you might have to wait a bit for your food to be brought to your room once it arrives. If you're in a hurry, it's something to keep in mind.
