We had a lovely stay at Dara Hotel Phuket as a couple! The room was modern, clean, and beautifully designed with a cozy atmosphere—perfect for a relaxing getaway. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, always ready to assist with anything we needed. We especially appreciated the comfortable bed and the stunning view from our balcony.
The location is convenient, just a short drive to Central Phuket and other key attractions, yet quiet enough to enjoy some peace and privacy. The rooftop pool was a great spot to unwind in the evening, and breakfast had a nice variety to start the day.
Overall, Dara Hotel offered great value for money and made our couple’s trip memorable. We would definitely stay here again

Amazing rooms and sports based hotel. Very innovative and a heaven for Tennis lovers. Really loved the rooms and the ambience. However, very disappointing customer service here. Never expected this in Thailand where I have always been amazed by the customer service. When I went to the receptionist to get an additional access card for the room, she refused to issue mentioning that they have already issued it. Someone had to go.down and bring other person up during the entire stay because of this. When I would go to play tennis, my 10 years old son would wait in reception area as I didn't have access card. Similarly , wrong information was provided by when I requested for late check out which was different to what they provided me previously. Rooms are also not cleaned on time and sometimes they skip room cleaning totally. They should really focus on improving customer service. Rest is great.

The room was clean with nice view and during our stay the housekeeping kept replenishing all the amenities in the room. When we checked in late night the front desk who assisted us were really nice and very accommodating but on the following day it was a struggle talking to the staff since most of them can’t speak English.

Perfect location to explore old town.
The building itself is nice looking and many people came to take picture with it.
Theres free parking.
The pool is small but very nice.
The only downside is, their water were not filtered. I brought my own shower filter, and it went black just after 2 days.

Bright shiny room. Condition of the room could have been better compared to the price. Soundproof of the wall is not very good. Can hear the next room and room on top. Shower area could have been a little larger compared to the size of the bathroom. It was likely to be only 80-90 cm. The smell of the soap, however, was gorgeous. Breakfast a little disappointing in terms of variety of main dishes but the taste was good.
Plus side is that the room was large and quite spacious. Really enjoyed sunshine in the room while working hours at the table next to the window and view of the ocean far away was very nice even though the stay was only on 11th floor.
Best thing was the bed and the fluffy blankets. Good sleep despite some noise.

The hotel staff is really friendly and has good service mind. The room is clean AC is cool. No fridge and no amenities such as cotton buds or toothbrush which is no biggie. Great location, close to the old town street with many famous bars/restaurants/cafes.

This hotel is very good location if u have your own transportation. Although not located at touristic place but is recommended to stay if u want more quiet environments.Strategic location also, we can travelled to nearby attractions easily.The staff here are attentive and friendly.They provide excellent service. We stayed at cottage room. Room are spacious and cleans. Completed with basic amenities. Breakfast buffets is good . Will stay again when come to Phuket.

The location is really nice! Place its also nice. The bed was super comfortable. The only thing was: the bathroom was full of ants. Not a big deal but they were even in the toilet so it made me a bit uncomfortable to use the restroom. The girls in reception were super nice and helpful. I probably will come back in the future! Thank you so much :)

KKimberlyoverall, it was an average experience—you get what you pay for right. The hotel offers the bare minimum in terms of comfort, but having access to the gym, sauna, swimming pool, and laundry facilities definitely made the stay more manageable.
The rooms are cheaply made, and sound insulation is practically nonexistent. Every single noise from the hallway is loud and disruptive, from people talking to doors opening and closing. This made it nearly impossible to get a good night’s sleep, and I woke up exhausted every morning.
Another thing you’re only allowed two towels, and you have to bring them downstairs yourself to exchange them. The same goes for any other amenities you need; you have to go down to the front desk to request them. The pool area lacks didnt have soap in the bathrooms. They also do not provide washcloths, so be sure to bring your own.
The staff at the front desk was very friendly and helpful, which I appreciated. However, the cleaning staff was not as accommodating. When I asked for toilet paper, the cleaning lady was visibly irritated and slightly rude, which was surprising, as I had never encountered a Thai service worker with such a prickly disposition before.
On a positive note, I did enjoy being able to watch the sunrise from my room—it was a nice touch. However, the constant noise and lack of sleep made my stay far less enjoyable than I had hoped. If you're looking for a budget stay with basic amenities, this hotel might work, but don't expect much beyond that.
Would I stay again? Probably not.
