We stayed here for 3 nights. Contrary to other reviews we found that it was a nice place: well-kept, clean and we had a spacious room. Beyond the lack of amenities such as a kettle in the rooms, which is not the end of the world and wouldn’t be expected in a 3-star hotel necessarily, the only real problem we found was a lack of air conditioning in the rooms. There was a fan you could plug in but considering how air cons are found in most hotels and hostels throughout Europe (and this is only the second place we have found without one, the first being a tiny hostel cabin room on an interrailing trip) and this hotel is still over £100 a night, I would have expected to have one as in the blistering heat of summer it made nights quite unpleasantly hot. Other than that a lovely place!

The hotel is very centrally located. The rooms are large. The negative points are the tiny bathroom, the noise level in the hotel and the railway line with the associated noise, as well as the cleanliness (especially in the "bathroom"). The price is quite cheap for Salzburg - but you shouldn't expect anything for that.
