We visited Diana Palace on the last week before it shut for the end of the season and overall had a good experience! The customer service in all areas was top quality with the two guys working the pool bar the pick of the bunch, great guys with immense character, this included remembering drinks and remembering your name etc. The room we had was very very good. Very modern, amazing rain shower and looked fabulous! The food and drink on the all inclusive i would say was of a satisfactory standard, wasn't a massive amount of choice but was always something nice to eat. The All inclusive cocktails weren't great and they only offered the cocktail of the day on the all inclusive rather than the whole menu. Both bars did offer paid drinks which were branded and cocktails being proper ones you'd expect in a cocktail bar. There were two swimming pools, one at the back of the hotel and the main one next to the bar and restaurant. Both of the pools were absolutely freezing but there was always a Sunbed free, not sure this would be the case in the busy season. The entertainment was fun and they made a real effort to keep people entertained. This included darts competitions, ping pong, football tennis, quizzes and games etc. As for the area, it was an absolute ghost town, everything was shut, we didn't realise this but ventured into Zante town on a couple of occasions which was great! About a 15 minutes taxi ride away. There was a small stretch of beach very close by, at the back of the hotel and a short walk away, sandy beach and beautifully clear water. The only real negative that somewhat impacted on the whole trip was the wasp problem in the hotel grounds, they were literally everywhere!!! Harassing you all day, every drink spilt trying to swoosh them away! I understand this is nature and not necessarily the hotels fault but it really did ruin the experience. Maybe they could look at some traps or some sort of pest control! Never experienced this in any hotel even in the hot summer months. So to conclude Diana Palace had a lot of positives, definitely wouldn't return but appreciated the hard working friendly staff and the customer service. Many thanks.
