This used to be a very nice guesthouse on a quit street. but not for the last 4 years while an uber-mall was created across the street from it. Today it is loud and very busy. to get to the beach you actually have to walk through the mall, reminding one of airport duty-free mazes. Staff is not very friendly, seems they are upset about the mall as well. Prices are fair and rooms are in dire need of upgrading, with dirty bathtubs and faulty lighting. Breakfast is basic and served without a smile. If you must go, get a room towards the back, it is slightly quieter.

Rooms are spacious, bed is comfy but it’s the people who made the stay great. They were so accommodating and really went above and beyond for us. Extremely grateful and cannot thank them enough for everything they did during our stay.

I stayed here a couple of nights due to a last minute flight cancellation. I wouldn’t stay here again. The is the biggest building site in Bali right opposite which operates 24/7. The noise is deafening. After one night with NO sleep whatsoever in a room in front of the hotel, I was moved to the back. This was quieter but the room was dark, worn out and very basic. Fridge and good a/c but no in room tea or coffee. Pay a bit more for somewhere much better and far, far away from ‘Icon Bali’. Best avoided.

The location is great. The entrance is a little hard to find. There is no parking lot, so you have to go up the stairs. The room is spacious, has hot water, and a refrigerator. The breakfast is delicious. And it's under 4000 yen. One of the bedside lights was broken and didn't work. But for the price, I'm satisfied.

Efficient and friendly welcome from Ketut who immediately resolved our problem, after 4 nights we extended for a week because we felt so good, all the staff are smiling, attentive, a beautiful warm swimming pool (towels provided), 6 baths sun lounger with mattress (lacking a parasol for the afternoon) large, clean rooms, comfortable beds and pillows, 2 bottles of water offered every day, copious breakfast buffet, I highly recommend and again a big thank you to all of us having had an excellent stay, especially Ketut.
