The Garcia Ubud Hotel & Resort

My friend, Qurratu Aini, and I stayed at The Garcia Ubud Bali Resort from 21–23 August 2025. From check-in to check-out, we were truly impressed by how well we were taken care of. The customer service was exceptional, and every staff member we met was warm, friendly, and always greeted us with a smile. Right from our arrival, someone was already there to assist us with our luggage, which set the tone for the rest of our stay. Since we were in Bali to celebrate my friend’s birthday, we were touched by the thoughtful gestures from the team. The beautiful decorations in our room made the occasion feel even more special, and on our last morning, the staff surprised my friend with a cake and a birthday song during breakfast — a moment that warmed our hearts and made our trip unforgettable. My only regret is not getting the names of all the wonderful staff who contributed to our stay, as I would have loved to personally thank each of them. Thank you, Garcia Ubud, for making us feel so welcomed. We’ll definitely be coming back!

The service provided by the staff were awesome. They are always friendly and tries their best to fulfil your request. Every time when I return to the hotel from outside, they would say welcome back and ask if I need help with anything. Service is definitely not an issue. Breakfast options were amazing and you can pretty much skip lunch if you ate their breakfast. As for the bathroom, I felt that the curb was too low so the water kept seeping out. Other than the swimming pool and yoga, there weren't much things to do. I felt that the shuttle bus timings to the Coco Supermarket can be adjusted so that the interval would not be too long.

The property was in poor condition, with visible wear and tear in several areas, including tears on the walls and furniture. One of the most concerning issues was the door, which couldn't lock properly, raising security concerns. We also reported that the air conditioning wasn’t working, and while they claimed to have sent a technician to check, no one actually came to inspect it. As a result, our children had to sleep in sweat at night, and it was even worse during afternoon naps. The villa was uncomfortably warm, and the lack of maintenance made the stay very unpleasant. Additionally, the resort felt boring, with very little to do, and it was far from everything, making it inconvenient for getting around. The breakfast provided was subpar and disappointing. They did waive our in-room dining fee (for 6 dishes), but this "compensation" didn’t feel like much, especially considering we spent 3 nights with no air conditioning. In the end, we had to request a fan to survive the heat, which was an incredibly frustrating solution. To top it off, I noticed an overwhelming amount of fake reviews about the hotel, and I kept seeing constant advertisements featuring influencers (KOL) on social media. Even worse, Instagram kept reposting reviews from 2022, making it feel like they were recycling old content. For the price, I expected much better quality and transparency. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
