The Bakung Sari is an old historical hotel in Kuta. The property is very dated so many guests will not be happy but the cost is low so this is the trade off. My stay included breakfast which was uninspiring. This is a pity because a well designed breakfast is an easy (and low cost) way to satisfy hotel guests. As is normal in Bali, the local people and hotel staff are very obliging and super nice in spite of the limited resources.
This hotel has a main lobby area but also has a well established ‘Back Gate’ which brings you out to the Bakung Sari Street where you have a great choice of restaurants like Warung Jacks and Chef Bagus; both popular watering holes for visitors and local expats.
Bakung Sari Street also is the direct street to Kuta Beach about 30 minutes walk West with a great variety of local shops along the way.

Beautiful place with a few years on it but very clean. Has a great pool area and is well located. Staff was always helpful and professional on all levels.

The hotel is nice and location is Good with convenient stores and eateries within nearby walking distance. The Kuta beach is just 15-20 minutes walk away and the hotel staff are very helpful and friendly.

I do not recommend this place specially if you are a solo traveler. Yes, it is near airport but there are other beautiful hostels near plus Bakung Sari is expensive yet not giving good service. DO NOT BOOK THIS. Comfort room is dirty and old. Room sheets are not clean and will make you feel itchy. Room is very far from entrance. Staffs are not friendly.

This accomodation will suit any traveller. Situated at the older part of Kuta, it is an extremely amazing surprise and incredible value for money. No it’s not on the beach, but it is only a 2 minute walk through to the Main streets of Kuta and another 15 minutes to the beach, so it makes it a great day out to eat, go to the beach, eat some more or shop or get a massage then head back to the quietness of this hotel. 2 bottles of water is provided daily on request. The grounds are amazing. Like a rainforest with a large swimming pool. One site restaurant at value priced meals. Seamless checkin check out and only a short distance to the airport, which will cost about 60,000 rupee. Staff are amazingly friendly as you would expect. Highly recommended this way for those who don’t want to stay in a resort or want somewhere a little more quiet but still very walkable to the action of Kuta and Legian/Kuta beach. Loved it.

Location : superb, in the heart of Kuta. Everything is available nearby.
Breakfast : Average, omelet needs to be ordered when you show your ticket.
Room cleaning: service was very good. They cleaned it pretty well everyday.
Amenities: you will only get 2 water bottles, soap and towels. The hot water facility is inbuilt on tap.
Not have a hairdryer,brush,paste,or shampoo.etc.

Not recommended. Extreme foul smell in bathrooms. Found live cockroach. Stay if you have no other choice
