Nothing like the pictures … run down , old tired and worn … walls paper thin and huge problem With the electricity … and flooding …. It rained and the bathroom was completely flooded …dangerously so … cheap Build … but for me paper thin walls is a no no … no privacy . Didn’t fancy sitting on the old bean bags or getting in the pool … I left a day early …

The villa is super pleasant to live is with a spacious living room open from every side. If you love indoor / outdoor living you will fall in love with this villa ! It is ideally located near the beach and walking distance from all shops. The rooms are simple but very comfortable mattress. The staff is also fantastic and was very helpful. Komang (the guardian) is there 24/7, which made us feel very safe. Would 100% recommend if you love open villas !

We rented the apartment situated outside the villa and nearer to the street. This review is for the apartment. While the apartment is spacious, the furnishings are bare and there is no tv. The bathroom is fine but the shower has very weak pressure. There are also ants and mosquitos in the apartment. There were two Aircon units but it barely kept the room cool. The worst part, however, was the noise from the street at all hours of the night. Our first (and last) night there we were unable to sleep due to the noise from the cars and motorbikes passing by. It has to be obvious to the owners of this apartment that the noise situation is extremely bad. The unit itself should, in no way, be rented out if the noise issue is not addressed. We left the next morning after a sleepless night and booked the rest of our stay at the intercontinental in uluwatu which was thankfully nearby. Our experience at the intercontinental was a night and day difference from our stay at this apartment. Do yourself a favor if you are considering booking a stay at this apartment, don’t. Book ANYWHERE ELSE and you will have a better experience than we did.

Modjo is a 4-bedroom 4 bathroom villa, with bohemian charm, landscaped grounds and a private pool. In a prime location in Uluwatu, it’s a short 15-min stroll from the beach. There is a lot of construction going on outside of the villa which could be a hinderance if you have trouble walking on uneven roads or pushing a pram. There are a few excellent Balinese restaurants close by within 2 mins walk from the villa. The staff were very efficient, very polite and the home cooked breakfast each morning made for a very relaxing stay. Perfect for a family group holiday or getaway with friends.
