Eric Vökel Boutique Apartments - Sagrada Familia Suites

Met all our needs. It was clean and had all the necessities including a stovetop, microwave, washer/dryer, coffee. Take a a walk around the block and you’ll find a chain grocery store, bakery, and metro stop. It’s also a residential neighborhood with people walking their dogs. Deduction of one star because the reception has fixed hours. 9-5pm. If you arrive after 5pm, and have excursions planned for the day, you will have difficulty meeting them to provide passport info. They do respond to e-mail so leave them messages and communicate. The Eric Vokel info e-mail is for all EV hotels and is not direct to Sagrada Familia. It’s not very responsive to questions. Try to get the Sagrada Familia E-mail as they are very responsive. We found the cheapest rates on the Eric Vokel site, and got a breakfast basket.

Mechaber’s were thrilled with our recent stay from check-in to check out. We stayed in a 2/2 that was so spacious and perfectly appointed. The design features were wonderful. Everything was clean and comfortable. Great beds, great, blackout blinds, wonderful amenities and a lovely welcome breakfast basket that we received because we booked directly online. The location was perfect- close to Sagrada Familia and very quiet, not busy and noisy at night but so easy to get everywhere with a metro stop right across the street. Many many cafés and restaurants also very close walking distance. They thought of everything we might need. we arrived early and were able to leave our luggage in a very convenient storage and enjoy an entire day. Additionally, upon check out the team was able to Have a cab ready and he arrived early. The staff was wonderful and welcoming and very knowledgeable and we had an overall wonderful stay and are excited to be staying at the Eric Vokel Madrid suites next.

This aparthotel is in a great location, as it’s across the street from a metro station and walking distance to La Sagrada Familia and many other sights. We also visited the bodega and fruit shop daily (a few doors down) for snacks and water (the bodega sells a 5L bottle of water, so that was nice). The size and decor of the room was great and I appreciated being able to do laundry, as we stayed here after being in Europe for 8 days already. They also supplied a drying rack for the clothes and laundry soap. The bed was comfortable and thankfully in the penthouse, the bedroom faced the back, so no street noise at night. The walls are pretty thin however; when our neighbours were in their bedroom same time as us, we could hear everything. We could also hear their kid running around. Luckily they went to bed fairly early, so we did still sleep very well. AC worked well in the room, which we still needed for sleeping even though it’s winter. Note there is a cabinet on the 4th floor that has extra toilet paper and other essentials if you run out. All in all, I would probably stay here again.

Having stayed at the Eric Vokel apar**ents pre pandemic and had a great experience we were expecting similar, but unfortunately we were left very disappointed. We booked a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom (same as before) via the Eric Vokel website back in Oct last year and felt reassured that we would receive a similar light and airy apar**ent, with a street balcony that we had previously (and inline with the lovely images on the website). We were fine with paying a top end (ish) price to secure at 381 euros (£330) per night, £1320 for 4 nights. When we arrived (outside reception hours) we had been given room 52, which had a balcony that looks to the rear - see photos, this wasn't the type of outlook we were expecting and therefore we didn't use the balcony door (frosted glass) or open the bedroom blinds - this made it quite a dark & gloomy environment. If you are therefore looking to book here I would avoid rooms 12, 22, 32, 42 & 52 that all look to the rear. On a positive the location of the apar**ents is still great, Sasha and Julia on reception were very pleasant and the breakfast is a nice touch. In response to our dissatisfaction, Sara the City Manager seemed to miss our point on this matter unfortunately. She made the point that some people prefer these quieter rooms (which could be valid) and that there is no guarantee of the room you will be allocated regardless of when you book or the price you pay, so just be aware. Following dialogue back and forth via email, she did offer us a 50 euro gesture of goodwill against the first night and to move us half way through our 4 day break. We declined the offer to move in the end as we were out all day the day they wanted to move us and to be fair on a short break you don't really want to be packing up and unpacking again to just have your last day in the apar**ent you thought you were getting. Begrudgingly we accepted the 50 euros, but did make it clear we felt that wasn't really acceptable against what we had paid for the room we received. If you are booking, just try and make sure you get the room you are expecting. From our side however, after this experience we wouldn't choose Eric Vokel apar**ents again, which is a shame.

The front desk was always extremely helpful. Location close to metro. The walls and floors are thin. We could hear the people above us playing music late night.

Fantastic hotel. Super clean, comfortable, location is fantastic! The staff is super friendly and tried their best to help us in all our needs. We stayed in the 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apar**ent and loved it!

Great location. Close to Metro and bus transportation . Very comfortable. Extraordinary attention at front desk. The apar**ent has everything you need ; from table ware to washer and dryer. Perfect for family vacation.
