"It’s just beside the beach and there are plenty of food options beside the motel. Don’t expect a full sea view if you are booking a sea view room. Nonetheless a clean place to stay in."

The room was great. We arrived at Apollo Bay around 7am and the hostess greeted us warmly and showed us the buffet breakfast. The room was small but well-equipped.

The hotel is right by the Great Ocean Road, making driving and parking very convenient. The front desk operates from 12 PM to 6 PM, but self check-in is available outside these hours, with all necessary forms conveniently located at the entrance. We booked a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom suite. It was very clean overall, and the facilities were comprehensive, including a well-equipped kitchen. However, a common drawback of this type of house is poor soundproofing; you can hear conversations from next door. Right outside the hotel, there's a supermarket and several restaurants in Apollo Bay. The beach is just across the street.

During our Great Ocean Road trip, we chose to stay at the Coast Motel in Apollo Bay, and the overall experience was fantastic – highly recommended! First off, the location is excellent, right near Apollo Bay town, making it super convenient to drive in and out. It's easy to get to the beach or nearby restaurants. The surrounding area is quiet and pleasant, creating a wonderful holiday atmosphere where you can really relax and unwind at night. The room was clean and tidy, and the space was more generous than expected; we had no trouble spreading out our luggage. The bed was comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep, which is incredibly important after a long drive on the Great Ocean Road. All the basic amenities were provided and worked perfectly. A huge plus was the convenient parking; we could almost park right outside our room, making luggage handling incredibly easy – very friendly for self-driving travelers. The staff were also very friendly. Check-in was smooth, and they were always willing to help when needed, making the whole experience feel very relaxed and stress-free. Overall, the Coast Motel offers reasonable prices and a comfortable environment, making it a perfect stopover on the Great Ocean Road. If I come back to Apollo Bay, I would definitely stay here again 👍

Simple nice place with well equipped rooms. The only downside was the dust in the rooms under the bed and side tables which were not cleaned. Can see the dirt has been piling up for some time. However, still a good stop for the night on the way down the Great Ocean Road. Walking distance from the beach and shops on the mainstreet. Motel does not come with any cooking amenities need to book the apartments to be able to cook meals.

When I checked in, I had passed the check-in time of the hotel. I also lost the road and drove to another homestay (Google Maps is lost). Fortunately, Telstra's card has a signal. I quickly called the owner of the homestay. The owner of the homestay drove to pick him up in five minutes and guided him to the place of stay. The place to stay is a two-bedroom villa, which is fairly clean. The living room is large, the bathroom is dry and wet, and there is a washing machine, but there is no washing powder. A 10-minute drive from Apollo Bay is the biggest fatal injury, but the mountainous scenery is very similar to a national park,  suitable for people who live out of groups.

Drawn in by the online photos and reviews, I feel compelled to give an objective critique: 1. The view outside the window is stunning, but the room facilities are quite average. The room itself is very small; the online pictures clearly used a wide-angle lens, making it look more than twice its actual size. 2. The room lighting is very dim. If you want to replicate those online photo effects, you'll need to arrive early in the afternoon. Mornings have strong backlighting, so unless you bring your own lighting for staged shots, forget about getting good pictures, haha. 3. The restaurant's food is just okay, not as amazing as online reviews suggest, but if your sole purpose is to get some Instagram-worthy shots, then never mind what I said. That evening, the server recommended a fish they had just caught, claiming it was delicious. To me, it tasted no different from frozen fish. Hmm, what can I say? For good fish, you're better off heading to Guangdong~ 😂

We stayed here when driving on the Great Ocean Road, I really liked the quiet and comfortable here, the room was very clean, there was a jacuzzi, and we got a good relaxation for a day by car. There are various restaurants around for easy taste of food. Check in is very convenient and will come next time.

Room was really spacious and kitchen came with basic seasoning namely salt and pepper. There were tons of cockatoos on the porch in the morning so it can be a bit noisy but most people would usually be up by then so it should be fine.

Apollo Bay is the town where our family stayed the longest on this self-driving Great Ocean Road trip. Our family of five, two adults and three children, stayed in this cabin for three nights in a row. In addition to the beautiful scenery nearby, the most important thing is that it provides bicycles, boats, fishing rods, golf clubs, etc., and you can go to nearby courses. , play at the beach, we have fun every day! The owner Amanda and a friend of hers are taking care of these cabins. They are very nice people and can provide a lot of help to guests. For those of us living in domestic cities, burning wood in the fireplace to keep warm is a very interesting experience!

I used this hotel on the first day of the Great Ocean Road, when I moved from Melbourne to Apollo Bay. I chose this hotel because it was cheaper than other accommodations. The cleanliness of the room was commensurate with the price, and it felt like a student dormitory. (lol) Towels, hair dryers, shampoo, and other amenities were all provided, so I personally didn't have any problems (no toothbrushes). An international call is required to check in, so be careful about that. If you're looking to keep the price down, this is the place for you.
