The Farmhouse Guesthouse

This place is absolutely faultless. Val and Dave gave us a very warm welcome with a good pot of tea when we arrived; they were very knowledgeable and helpful about the area. Our room was very comfortable with a large bed and settee and a good shower. Complementary sherry and ginger wine was a nice touch. Breakfast was large and beautifully cooked. Alas, Val and Dave are planning to retire in September, and it's likely this place will be lost for good. The adjoining pharmacy next door wants to knock through the main wall and expand its premises. That's a shame, as poor old Belford sadly has nothing else to commend it. Some fellow walkers told us the town used to be a busy, vibrant community, but it appears the A1 bypass ****** all the life out of it.

Ideally situated with easy parking in the centre of town this cosy little B&B offers a friendly welcome & comfy clean rooms with good facilities. We had an excellent freshly cooked breakfast as well as cereals toast & fresh coffee. Appreciated the Port too

Stayed one night on our way up north Hard to fault the place. Quick efficient check in. Very friendly helpful host Good sized well equipped room. Very clean. Comfy beds and plenty of hot water Tea coffee biscuits and TV in room Really good breakfast well cooked with quality ingredients. Loads of tea coffee toast etc too Highly recommended. Will be back. Good job

This is a nice cottage set in an equally nice village with a couple of pubs, chip shop and co-op a minute or two walk away. Plenty of room to park on the road outside. Dave was a very welcoming host with ideas on where to eat. The room is a decent size with a small sofa at the foot of the bed, flat screen TV, hospitality tray and fresh milk in a fridge on the landing. Toiletries provided in the nice en-suite with a good shower. The breakfast was very nicely cooked and there were plenty of other goodies, cereals, fresh fruit etc. all provided in a lovely dining room. We had a good meal at the nearby Sunnyhill Farm Shop which doubles a s a restaurant. Our only quibble was the bed was not the most comfortable with a lumpy mattress that had collapsed a bit at the edges. This alone was not enough to detract from our very pleasant stay. Also, and importantly for us, Belford is very handy for Seahouses and Bamburgh, but at a lower price than those places.

Comfortable room with plenty of space. Toiletries provided including conditioner, which we never find and not in wasteful individual bottles. Small fridge in corridor for milk to go with hospiality tray in room so again saving plastic waste. Breakfast choices beyond the obvious. Parking on road outside. Owner a good source of information, got a good recommendation for pub for dinner from him.

This is one of these gems to stay a night at. Superfriendly host with good breakfast and helpful tips. The rooms are very clean and spacious. Good communication and good care is taken care of you. I can really advise this place to people visiting this part of the country. It is close to much too touristy Bamburgh and Lindesfarne, where service and prices have a different class. Loved it! You van have diner in the general room, for instance the fish and chips down the road.
