Great hotel, staff were lovely, clean and the check in time and check out time is so convenient. All hotels follow a 3pm check in, 11am check out but the late checkout at Penta is a god send!

Fabulous hotel in the heart of Birmingham. Walk is not too far to Broad street which is where we were headed. The decor is tastefully done and the pool table on the 1st floor was greatly enjoyed for a little bit of relaxation and competitiveness. Stayed in a Penter plus room on the 7rh floor and despite the lack of bath robe and slippers which it stated on trip, the room was modern, fresh, clean and comfortable.

The location is very handy for the centre of town, train station etc, however, to access the hotel you had to use an underpass system which I certainly wouldn't have liked to use at night ,on my own. The receptionists were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. My room was cleaned every day. The food from the restaurant was of a good standard and the dining room itself is attractive. The bar was fun.

Check-in no problem. Our room had a dirty duvet, went back to reception and got a clean duvet within 10 minutes. In general, the room looked a bit outdated and quite basic. Hygiene left much to be desired in some places.

The menu at the restaurant can use an improvement. Other than that, spent 3 nights in 2 different rooms. First room stayed 2 nights and no cleaning or towel changing service provided. 3rd night upgraded the room and was happy with it. Restaurant menu very limited. Lounge are quite nice, staff polite, easy parking around. Overall experience 3 out of 5.
