The hotel is right across the road from the train station and tram/bus stops. I had a nice stay except for two things. First, the tap/shower water was too hot. A hotel staff showed me how to adjust the water temperature and said it was like this all in France. I of course disagree. I had stayed in two ibis hotels in Paris and Nantes just before checking in this Mercure. I had stayed in countless hotels throughout my 30 years of travels in Europe and had never encountered this "scalding water" issue. In any case, the solution was to let the water run an exceptionally long time till the very hot water ran out. Then I could adjust the temperature. I come from a place where people treasure fresh water and find this unacceptable. As the hotel take international guests, perhaps there should be notices/instructions in the bathroom on how to deal with this "scalding water" issue. Second, the coffee provided in the room was below expectation. A 4-star hotel should do better than that. I was glad about the kettle in the room, though.

Great hotel. Walking steps to main station. Beautiful city. Bathroom was excellent, only all tv chanells was all in french (no complain about it though). Arrived late night , the feont desk man was very polite, a true french person 😃.

The experience at the hotel was great. Firstly, we were apprehensive about the location, however, the metro in front of the hotel made everything so easy and accessible. One thing that caught our attention was the lack of a reception desk. I thought this would limit the service, however, it turned out to be a simple and welcoming service provided by efficient and kind employees. Breakfast was also very positive, both for the variety and quality of the food. What I missed was a little more amenities, like a minibar in the room and slippers, for example. Another thing that left something to be desired was the "city view" which was a very high window to observe, very different from what was expected from the room description. And what I liked most was the room being extremely comfortable and welcoming, with good finishes and a very well chosen set of colors and lights. The bathroom was excellent and had excellent cleaning service. And the bed... the bed... was perfect and exceeded expectations in terms of size, comfort and quality of the sheets and pillows. It was an excellent stay.

This is the second time I have booked this hotel! The main attraction is the good location: just opposite the train station, very convenient for entering and leaving Bordeaux; 🏨The hotel also provides free luggage storage for guests; High cost performance;

4 night stay to discover Bordeaux and St-Emilion. quiet, large and comfortable room. average breakfast. near SNCF train station and public transport. no refrigerator in the room.

The waiters are very friendly, but the hardware facilities of the hotel are rated four stars, which is not flattering.

Excellent location and very friendly restaurant staff. However, bathroom floor was not cleaned on a daily basis (during our 4 night stay it was not cleaned). Trash was also taken out on alternate day.

Close to both train and tram, good breakfast. Big good room. Service was good and personal very helpful and always there when I need them.
