The scenery on the island is a big shot casually, and the hotel facilities are more like domestic guest houses. Get over it for this scenery. The staff are very welcoming but there is nothing to eat.

The hotel is better than expected. After all, I originally went there with the expectation of a Chinese guest house. Of course, there is no service at all.

last couple times I’ve come to tangalooma have been shocking. no care for the wildlife, absolute tourist trap. trash EVERYWHERE meanwhile they hand out paper pamphlets to encourage people to sign up for activities. eco centre shows photos of animals injured by fishing line and hooks or tire tracks in the sand, yet they allow fishing and quad biking and driving along the beach where turtle hatchlings get stuck and are left to suffer or die. massive boats and cruise ships allowed to park in the bay. saw a massive loggerhead which had been spliced by a boat propeller and left to sit in the sun, likely attracting sharks which qld will then seek to kill because the state government cares more about tourists than the wildlife. sickening. absolutely won’t be coming back. if you want to see the beauty of australia and its wildlife, put your money to go to heron, green, elliot, musgrave islands. if you’re looking to walk around an ashtray on the ocean, then tangalooma is your spot.

Our family had a wonderful time at Tangalooma. The resort room was spacious and reasonably up to date. The food and drinks on offer at the resort was reasonably priced and enjoyable.

We had an amazing time on Moreton. Helicopter ride, snorkelling, dolphins, sunset views over the sea.

A very tired unit that needs a lot of maintenance. Rust around the shower base, the door hinges were very rusty with the hinge pin ready to fall out. It was probably held together by rust. There were NO microwave proof dishes even though I was told there would be some available. Some of the ceiling panels were partially dislodged and would fall out shortly. The shower screen door would not close so water covered the bathroom floor making it a fall / slip hazard. I mentioned these issues to the check out staff. All they did was nod and small, indicating to me they didn't care. The resorts rule about not bringing alcohol into the resort was an absolute joke.
