I am so mad! I asked for a room in Brookings, Oregon and was given this room in Brookings, South Dakota. When I realized the mistake, I called the motel directly and they refused to give me a refund! (It was early enough and they probably rented that room out to someone else that night.) Ugh! Terrible experience! Nigh**are!

The sign out back read “Welcome to Day’s Inn”. Our door to our room was very difficult to shut. We came home the first night to find it ajar. But we quickly determined that it had to be shut with extreme force! There was no topper to our sink and I plucked a toothpaste lid out of the sink drain. It had been there for awhile. A light burned out in the bathroom. We had 4 people staying in the room, but they only applied us with 3 sets of towels, for 2 nights. They did not freshen up our room during the day after our first night. The breakfast sausage appeared raw. The eggs were rubbery. There was no peanut butter for the waffles. The cereal dispenser crushed the cereal into sand like particles. However, the room was clean and we felt safe.

Very nice hotel. I was impressed. Super friendly staff at check in and the room was updated and super-comfy. Much nicer than other Quality Inns I have stayed at.

Furniture in room in terrible shape. Fabric on chair torn up with padding hanging out. Bathroom looked unclean.

Conveniently located off interstate. Extremely reasonable price. Interior needed repairs (scrapes in drywall, doors removed - but hinges still attached, shredded material on arms of chair in room, etc.)

The rooms were fairly clean and did not smell funny. The walls are thin however, and conversations in the hallway can be clearly heard (especially late at night). Even though the listing for this hotel clearly shows a pool- there is none! Staff was very friendly & the beds were clean and comfortable.

Definitely nothing special, especially for the price. The rooms do not smell good, breakfast below the standard of a typical hotel breakfast. Staff were nice!
