Chalet Vites Mountain Hotel

For 7 days we enjoyed a hotel with an exceptional DESIGN and high quality services. The junior suite, where we stayed (on 3rd floor) was very spacious, with excellent facilities and very clean. Flavia, the owner of the hotel, was an perfect host an advises us in mountain hikes. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. TIPS! The hotel is nearby 2 cable cars that take you to the heights in Dolomiti mountains. We will come back.

Everything on Chalet Vites is excellent! The location is nice and quiet, with a private parking place. The hotel has a cosy bar, also with some lovely seats outside. It has a contemporary and tasteful interior design; the rooms and interior of the public spaces are comfortable and clean. Breakfast is complete, with fresh ingredients. And last but not least: the staff is wonderful!! Very friendly, helpful and correct!

We had a marvelous stay at this lovely hotel! And can not mention 1 negative argument! It has such a high quality by the building itself and his facilities but for all the people working there and owner Flavia. She is very charming and attentive. Adviced in good Restaurants and Booking reservations for us. But also in renting ski's wich we could leave after our holiday because there were picked up by the Ski-Rental company. Comfortable! The Wellness is just incredible so nice and clean! Breakfast is delicious! What we like is that attention has been paid to every point or part down to the smallest detail! We highly recommend this hotel! And to Flavia and staff : thank you very much for your good care!

Everything about this beautiful boutique hotel is perfect for many reasons. Firstly, Flavia and her staff are so warm and welcoming and helpful in every way. The facilities are extra clean and comfortable, and all needs are catered for. The location could not be better for skiers, with a cable car and a gondola a very short walk away. Then there is the food! Flavia is a wonderful cook and the range of delicious homemade offerings are irresistible, along with everything you could possibly want for breakfast and the two afternoon snacks they provide. What more can I say - we have stayed at Chalet Vites 3 times and look forward to staying many times more. Thank you again for a very special and memorable stay.

The owner, Flavia, made it a point to greet us after a 3-year hiatus due to Covid. Great location within walking distance of two of our favorite restaurants. A beautiful small hotel in a quiet, scenic town with a welcoming and attentive team and only a few blocks to two cable cars. We love Chalet Vites!

A small and charming boutique hotel with 12 quiet rooms, far enough from the main road, breakfast was sufficient, courteous and professional staff who answered every request both in terms of room, cuisine and helpful tips for trips in the area, the hotel owner is motivated to improve and renew everything that pleases the tourist.

You cannot say this hotel is not beautiful, it is. However, comfortable and welcoming it is not. The entrance, rooms, breakfast are all very perfect but you feel as if you are being watched all the time. Put one foot out of place or do something wrong (like forget to put on your plastic gloves and mask for fetching your second teabag at breakfast) and you are reprimanded immediately. The beautiful fires were never lit (even though it reached -15) and the hotel temperature- particularly your room- is totally controlled by the owner on her laptop from downstairs. You couldn’t even put on the towel rail yourself if you needed to dry your ski socks, and during a freezing night the heating came on at 3.30am, banged and woke you up. The beds are rock hard, as are the slab-like pillows and thin duvet. I did not sleep a wink the first night and had to wear my thermals. When we complained we were told that our room was warm enough! I was not that comfy when the owner found me a softer pillow on the second night either. It was a beautiful hotel but it lacked the personal service. We wouldn’t go again.

Having spent a week here both in 2018 and 2019, and having made a booking (with deposit) also for 2020, covid-19 put a stop to our plans. The management accepted our request to move both the booking and the deposit to 2021, and everything was duly confirmed. However, when we contacted the establishment to discuss details about our arrival, and also confirm that the covid-19 situation allowed us to travel as planned, they apartement was no longer available. They had forgot, misplaced or ignored our booking. We were given the option of either coming a week later, or stay in separate rooms instead of the apartement we had booked. We accepted neither of those, and instead asked for the deposit to be returned. They refused, and told us that they would keep the deposit if we didn't come this year. I find this utterly unacceptable. To err is human, and I am willing to forgive honest mistakes. To mess up a booking and refuse to refund is not an honest mistake. It's a rip-off and a terrible way to treat a customer. Luckily, Canazei has more to offer, and we shall be happy to spend our money elsewhere both this year, and all years to come.
