Hotel Nantipa - A Tico Beach Experience

The rooms are simply cozy and very very clean! The staff is professional and the food is amazing. Everything is perfect and if you want to fell in paradise you have to visit this place. Thanks to all the staff!! Your professionality , compared with your neighbors of the banana beach, makes the difference!

My husband and I just checked out of Nantipa today. What an absolute wonderful stay! From the friendly smiling staff to the delicious breakfast every morning. It all was perfect. We stayed in Bungalow 3 which has its own private splash pool which was perfect after our early morning walk on the beach right out our door. The king size bed is soooo comfortable and it's so nice to have an outdoor shower. The.staff was so helpful from helping us rent a quad to having a pizza delivered, they were amazing in their continual effort to make our vacation great!! All I can say is.... Thanks to everyone at Nantipa and we'll see you next year!

Manzu was a wonderful restaurant, a five star to the chef, great staff, rooms where nice, mine was unfortunately the farthest from the beach, pool and restaurant, other than that the place exuded Pura Vida.

We are a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids aged 11 and 13) and stayed at Nantipa for 4 nights towards the end of a trip to Costa Rica. We were hoping for some R and R after touring many other places and many days of excursions and Nantipa delivered. The room was comfortable and clean - we were assigned one of the new rooms that hadn’t been opened long. They provided a cake on arrival as it was my daughter’s birthday. Service was excellent with special mention to Diego who showed us around the property and made us feel settled very quickly. I mentioned to him at check in that I was hoping to see monkey’s and received a WhatsApp within a few hours of arriving alerting me to monkeys in the lobby. All communication was done with the front desk and concierge through WhatsApp which proved extremely efficient. Spa treatments were organised quickly as were taxis. There is a nice communal pool (although some rooms have their own) which only has a handful of sun loungers although we never struggled to get some. The restaurant at the hotel provides a very high quality of food - with a special mention to lunch. There was so much to choose. Although maybe the prices need slight reconsideration- the $13 sliders were more reasonable than many dishes on the kids menu and $30 for a simple (but delicious) chicken salad seemed pretty steep. The hotel is located very close to many great restaurants and is in the heart of buzzy Santa Teresa. A really cool relaxed vibe that focuses on surging and yoga and well being, you get a real sense of the Nicoya Blue Zone. We looked hard for a place that was authentic to Costa Rica but that provided high levels of service and accommodation and Nantipa delivered. The owner was very present and you can see how much devotion he puts into the property. It’s only 5 years old but has established itself as a premium hotel. The beach is stunning although big waves are more suited to surfing than paddling and the sunsets were phenomenal.

We were at Nantipa for my daughters wedding along with a group of about 40+ of us. My wife and I have been all over the world and Nantipa is ranked at the top of our favorite resorts. With high quality. Impeccable service. And amazing atmosphere. Everything was absolutely perfect. Camille (??Spelling??) was my daughters wedding coordinator and she was on the spot. Always available. And very personable to the entire party. Amazing job. The food was amazing as well. Breakfast was included and it was a large selection and lots of it. The fruit and juices were as fresh as it possible could be. The wedding was onsite and we had the entire restaurant and beach area for the entire day/evening. There was an open bar and buffet along with dancing stage, DJ, and anything else my daughter chose. The service during the entire wedding was absolutely second to none. From the time that the wedding on the beach was over, the servers were waiting for us to walk over to the reception / restaurant area with various cocktails. Drinks to order. And quickly after came a continuous supply of appetizers. The supervisor, Bryan, was amazing. A big thank you to him because he was in the middle of it and ensuring everything was perfect. We broke out the cigar box and he was also walking around with a lighter and his pocket knife ready to cut ends and strike up the cigar again. And I am not exaggerating when I say he was there ready with the lighter before you could even look for him. And his entire team was exactly the same. I have never had such complete and consistent service anywhere I have ever been across the globe. The rooms are amazing. And they have though of everything here. I highly recommend a stay at Nantipa. It is not cheap but for the discerning guest, this is a must stop.

We just checked-out of Nantipa and I have to say I'm sad to leave this wonderful, peaceful enclave. This resort checks all the boxes--friendly, helpful, accommodating staff; beautiful, extremely spacious rooms, lovely setting (serene and beautiful), not to mention that it sits directly on the beach. It's one restaurant, Manzu, is also on the beach, and the food there is very delicious and varied. It's open all day and evening, so if you're tempted to not leave the resort you can enjoy three meals a day here, while overlooking the ocean and being lulled by the sound of the sea. We saw couples of varying ages, as well as young families here, so I think it appeals to a variety of demographics. With only 27 rooms, Nantipa is a gem of a find and I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to visit the Santa Teresa area. Pura vida!

From the moment we arrived at checkin until the moment we checked out we experienced the most welcoming and friendly charm of the place and the people. We were there for a wedding for our niece. It was absolutely perfect! I’m so glad we were able to make the trip. The resort was clean, the food was exceptional. Thank you Nantipa for memories that will last a lifetime! Pura Vida!

Nantipa is a gem of a resort that embodies a true Costa Rican experience, has a gracious and attentive staff and a calm and relaxed environment. I really loved it and cannot wait to come back. I stayed in a Nanku room which was extremely spacious and comfortable. They have a drink in the room made from cacique and infused with pineapple that is a nice touch. My friends were in the Villa which had a private pool, was just steps to the beach, and had a full, modern kitchen. The property isn't huge but it has a lovely pool, is on the beach, and a casual restaurant all nearby so you really can choose how you want to spend your time. There is also a brand new luxury spa with different types of treatments available and some of them looked amazing (we didn't have time but I wanted to try the Hawaiian massage that sounded incredible). The restaurant, Manzu, has a menu that accommodates all sorts of food preferences and allergies (we had someone with a gluten allergy and she was amazed by how many options were available). The staff also was so friendly and kind. Our server for dinner both nights, Salvador, handled us and all of our requests with ease and a smile. I recommend the sea bass- it was fantastic- and the quinoa or hearts of palm salad. The hotel is located in the heart of San Teresa which out of all the places we visited in Costa Rica felt the most authentic, laid back yet also lively. It is a surfer's paradise but also has so many things to do. There are really cute boutiques for shopping and a bunch of little restaurants as well. It is close to excursions like Tortuga Island, waterfalls and Ario for horseback riding. We did the horseback riding and it was stunning! It is clear that this property's owners genuinely care and pay attention to the details and what makes staying there so special. Loved the location - right on the beach and near plenty of great restaurants and activities. Beautiful place and very comfortable. Staff was very accommodating and nice. Activities easy to book -- staff assists -- and plenty to do. Beach set-up was just what I was looking for -- beautiful views, plenty of chairs, restaurant right there with service on the beach. Several times we had cocktails and snacks late afternoon on the beach while relaxing in the hammocks. I'd stay at Nantipa again!
