Garner Stays in Cologne

The location is too far from city centre and from train station. Had taken ICE to reach Cologne from Stutgart. Had to change 2-3 traisn to reach but train station is too far from the hotel. Hotel is neat and nice. Staff was varely around. For two people the room was very small barely any place to keep the luggage and move around. No fan , it was kind of stuffy so had to keep the window open. Bath room is really small , its tough for a healthy person to have a shower. Decent enough to stay for one night I was staying with my nephew . Managed somehow. No food options around. Just a bar at the corner few mts away.

A modern hotel right in the city center, a stone's throw from the cathedral and shops. Good breakfast, nice decor, pleasant welcome, friendly staff, comfortable bed and linens. BUT: the room was extremely small with the bed against the wall, forcing us to crawl over each other, and had a depressing view. The bathroom had no ventilation, making the small room very stuffy after showering. This meant opening the windows, resulting in noise from fans. So so so comfortable (this last phrase seems sarcastic given the context).

The hotel room was quite spacious, but it's really far from the airport. There's a shuttle from Airport Terminal 2 that runs every half hour during peak times, and hourly in the mornings and evenings. After getting off, it's about a 10-minute walk through what looks like a residential area. Aside from the distance, the hotel itself is pretty good. There's also a train station and bus hub about a 10-minute walk from the hotel, which is convenient enough.
