Excellent location, next to Edinburgh Castle. It is a very old hotel with good facilities, a small swimming pool and sauna. A family of three checked in and the front desk gave us a family room with a separate small bed. The view outside the window is also good. There is a bathtub and capsule coffee. There is TESCO downstairs, which is very convenient for shopping. Such a good room, buy some beer and drink it in the room, it's really not too good ☺️ The breakfast on the first floor is very good 35 pounds per person. The main meal must be told to the waiter separately, which is included in the 35 pounds. This hotel has hosted members of the British royal family. There are photos in the restaurant on the first floor.
It takes 15 minutes to walk to Cardington Hill. You can see Edinburgh Castle all the way. The surrounding core scenic spots are 15 minutes walk, which is great!

From a hotel of this level and price you expect more for breakfast. At least delicious coffee :) and a cup for toothbrushes in the bathroom would not hurt either.

I booked 2 nights in total. The hotel arranged a room closest to the road. Trams, police cars, and motorcycles kept coming and going at night. I couldn't sleep all night. I communicated with the hotel but they said there were no rooms available (the platform clearly showed that there were 4 rooms available) and they refused to change the room. Their attitude was terrible! I contacted Ctrip and asked to cancel the reservation for the second night. Ctrip said they also got the room through another agent.
