Aparthotel Adagio Edinburgh Royal Mile
"We stayed in an apartment, was really happy until we got back to our room at 10.30pm to a freezing cold room. No heating! And it’s was at least -3 outside. Rang down to reception to be told they would reset the heating?! After 30 min I rang again and let them know that hadn’t worked, they sent up some extra blankets at 11.30pm. Not really acceptable, as we were cold all night and morning and It really spoilt the experience and being out in the cold all day to then come back to a cold flat wasn’t very nice. I spoke to the manager in the morning who offered to refunded the cost of our breakfast and apologised and said there was nothing they could do as there is no maintenance on weekends ?! Not good enough really. Wouldn’t recommend."
Destiny Student - Holyrood (Brae House)
"We needed somewhere central to explore the fringe festival that didn't break the bank, this ticked all the boxes! The 24hr reception was a godsend, so we got there early doors & put our bags in reception for a fiver & didn't check in until midnight so that we didn't miss any planned shows having to come back & check in at 3pm. Student dig rooms so obviously not too spacious, but suited us fine, only complaint would be the heat, extremely warm in the room, but leaving the window open means you here the trains all night so not ideal.Fans were available to hire at reception though in case our become too much, which or didn't for us thankfully."
Holiday Inn Express EDINBURGH - CITY WEST by IHG
"Holiday inn as usually, they rooms are always clean and well kept. Opposite the hotel has a shopping areas with Burger King. There is also a 24hrs petrol station down the road incase u arrival late for check in or u are hungry for a snack. Road will be quite packed during the peak hour. Walking to dean village is about 30min"
Holiday Inn Express EDINBURGH - LEITH WATERFRONT by IHG
"It was good stay but room heating was not working and breakfast options could have been better"
Virgin Hotels Edinburgh
"The bar is amazing and the design of the hotel is also so great"
Travelodge Edinburgh Central
"Great location, not the best shower/bathroom (really could use a exhaust fan) and the heater would just turn on randomly and be way too hot in the room."

Apex City of Edinburgh Hotel
"Great hotel in a fabulous location. Only a minute's walk to the well photographed picturesque Victoria Street and then a little bit further to the castle. The Grassmarket area is lively with bars and eateries and had a market on while we were there at the weekend. The hotel is very clean and well presented. The breakfast was amazing and had beautiful views out to the castle. The staff are all very helpful. Rooms are comfortable and warm. Bus stop 2 minutes walk away for buses every 12 minutes into the city or its a 10 minute walk to the tram. Big Asda supermarket nearby and some restaurants at Newhaven Harbour. Great communication before the stay and easy key collection via an automatic key cabinet. Only thing which would have made the stay better would have been TVs in the bedrooms. Highly recommended."
