Destiny Student - Holyrood (Brae House)
"Very friendly staff. Rooms clean and bed very comfy. Helpful addition of small aircon unit made room less stuffy"
Holiday Inn Express EDINBURGH - LEITH WATERFRONT by IHG
"Location: Very conveniently located right across a couple of bus stops and also a few steps away from Ocean Terminal tram stop. The Oean Terminal has a few well known brand outlets which we did not visit but if you have nothing else to do, it could be a nice way to spend your time. Also the Royal Britannia Yacht is right there. Cleanliness and facilities: just as expected from IHG, very clean and also the facilities that we wanted: luggage storage, a simple bar/ restaurant and hot breakfast. Nothing extraordinary but absolutely essential. Note: scrambled eggs could be better. Service: OK, as expected. We had already sent a note saying we were going to arrive between 1 AM and 1:30 AM, and when we came to the reception around 1:15 AM, they promptly delivered the keys and on the inside of the card was written "no show". Which means the reception doing the night shift never saw our note and had already marked us as possible "no show". It did not hurt us, but I did not like the fact they never read our note, it shows the impersonal nature of their service. Therefore I deducted one star. Note: The cranberry tea is a nice selection. It helped my headache. Thanks."
Holiday Inn Express EDINBURGH - CITY WEST by IHG
"Holiday inn as usually, they rooms are always clean and well kept. Opposite the hotel has a shopping areas with Burger King. There is also a 24hrs petrol station down the road incase u arrival late for check in or u are hungry for a snack. Road will be quite packed during the peak hour. Walking to dean village is about 30min"

W Edinburgh
"Location- Superb Gym - Excellent Front of House - Very poor. Didn't reflect the W service that we experienced in other countries. No smile, didn't look like she wanted to work there (Christina) , didn't brief us about what came with our reservation, ie breakfast and where to go for it. Asked for late check out at 2pm , which was granted. Thank you, however at 1.40pm , they sent someone at our door to make sure we leave the room ! Horrible and embarrassing. The deposit that they took during check in from our CC hasn't been refunded yet! Good beakfast which was from ala carte and it was the only good service we had here... thank you Ryan for the tips on Dean Village, We went there and it was beautiful. Overall -:For the money that we spent, this stay was a let down. I will not stay here again."
