Code Pod – the Court - Edinburgh

I have stayed at The Court before and really liked it, especially because of the location – it’s very convenient and central. However, I feel the recent changes have made the experience less enjoyable. The space is now smaller, and unfortunately, the kitchen has been removed. There used to be areas where you could cook, eat, and hang out with other guests, which made the place feel more social and flexible. Now, that is no longer available. It’s also not allowed to eat inside the rooms, so if you don’t want to order from their kitchen, there aren’t many options left. For me, this was disappointing because one of the best parts before was the freedom to prepare your own food and enjoy it in a shared space. Overall, the location is still great, but the new rules and reduced facilities make the stay less comfortable than it used to be.

One of the best hostels that I have ever stayed! The staff were very helpful, the facilities were all clean, the room was comfortable and quiet. And the location was the best! Highly recommended for solo female traveler!

Just next to the royal mile so it’s convenient to get to any tourist spots.

The location is great and it’s convenient to get everywhere, but there’s one problem: there’s no full-length mirror.

Second time I alive stayed here and would recommend again! Staff were fantastic. Location is perfect. Accommodations were clean and super comfortable. I’ve honestly slept in more uncomfortable hotel rooms!
