Toby Carvery Edinburgh West by Innkeeper's Collection

Once again, a fabulous stay, brilliant service and an amazing vegan breakfast! A big thank you to the team. Just cannot fault this hotel. Lovely, clean, cosy rooms, the friendliest of staff who can't do enough to help. And omg the breakfast. I would say it is the best vegan breakfast going. Well done that chef! And thank you so much to the lovely waitress for checking out the tattie scones for me (yum).

Don't know what the disliked review was about below! Obviously disgruntled people with an axe to grind! Me and my friend stayed here, the staff couldn't be anymore helpful. The rooms were cleaned and serviced daily. Nice touch to be part of the Toby Carvery so that was breakfast sorted. This was the first time we stayed at an innkeepers and it won't be our last amazing clean rooms and hotel. Very quiet evenings, great bus service right on the doorstep and easy links to Edinburgh airport. Handy also to note Wetherspoons pub just a short walk away. Thank You again for a lovely stay.

A total rip off here . Requested early check in. Totally ignored Went to Rugby and returned later. Given small room in annex. Had to walk through piles of cigarette ends and rubbish outside entrance and large bin and box of cigarette ends outside room in a car park. Motorbike and van directly outside windows. Lounge in evening with tables full of glasses and remnants of food. Never cleared all evening. Terrible place and fire hazard directly outside room. Would not advise going there.

What can we say, on arrival we were greeted straight away by Donna who immediately showed us to a lovely quiet table and handed us our menus. Drinks were served by Donna very quickly and explanation given of how to serve ourselves from the carvery. Chef was there waiting to attend to us. The food was fresh and abundant, the meat was succulent and vegetables cooked to perfection. Throughout our meal Donna was very attentive making sure we had a great experience even asking if we were warm enough, All very welcome on a cold winters evening! Donna really is an ambassador for Toby Carvery and we shall definitely return to enjoy her great service and company again!

The staff was very friendly, always felt welcome to the hotel. The room was comfortable, clean and fresh, although had quite thin walls and could hear the room next to us. The window opens to a quite busy street so we had it closed most of the time. Would have been nice to have some bedside tables :) Coffee in the restaurant was great, and breakfast was overall good.

As a regular visitor to the carvery here,I decided to bring along some friends who were visiting who had never visited before. As always this was an extremely pleasant experience. We were seated to a lovely table and given menus and served by my favourite waitress Pam who welcomed my friends warmly and looked after us so well. In fact all the staff were very friendly and nice. Food was delicious and the chef who carved our meat very helpful. We will be back again,myself soon. Thanks a million P Bradley
