Eriyadu Island Resort

The staffs all friendly, amazing location, delicious foods feel like heaven.

I really enjoyed my stay on Eriyadu Island, on arrival the check-in was not smooth it took 30 minutes to get my room key room 204. Room was clean and comfortable, the cleaning boy comes daily two times morning and evening. The location of the room was not very good no beach no clear lagoon for snorkeling later when I requested the housekeeper Mr.Ahmed Ibrahim Didi, he offered me room 211 where I stayed 5 days. The room was good lagoon and beach was perfect. Thanks to the housekeeper, whom I use to have chat with every day , he is a very well experienced housekeeper who walks around the island and looks the sun beds and helps others to move their sun beds. The food in the restaurant was superb and there were delicious varieties in the buffet. Overall I would recommend Eriyadu Island Resort, I feel like it is a good value for the money.

For those who love nature and snorkeling this is the ideal place, the island green and surrounded by a beautiful beach. The natural reef surrounds the island and has an abundance of fish and evidence of coral revival. I had a deluxe beach villa room 204 and it was quite calm, and the beach very little. After walking around the island I found a beautiful location and then moved to room 211, I must thank the housekeeping manager Ahmed Didi who gave me room 211 which was one of the best location for snorkeling. Mr.Ahmed Didi is a very hard working housekeeping manager I always see walking around the island, helping others to move their sun beds and other needs, he is a well experienced housekeeping manager who manages the cleanliness of the rooms and the island. The food in the restaurant is superb but needs a hot buffet, boys in the restaurants are always smiling and happy. I must say this island is very special and there's a reason people return, and yes I will be going back hopefully see the turtles.!!

The island is small and beautiful Ii like snorkeling and I did house reef it was amazing. restaurant food is not good, all the staffs are good and smiling. I had problems with my room, and I met House keeper Ahmed near my room he is not good person, he said he work many resorts and have experience, but I told him my room is not cleaned several times but he started to shout at me.😔 and again I told him I requested two days to change my bed sheets and don't I was very disappointed with him.

My husband and I have just returned from this island, our 3rd trip to the Maldives. We had read the reviews and people had said it wasn't one of the luxury islands, which was fine by us and our expectations were set. We absolutely loved our holiday. We had a fantastic beach villa (214) just steps away from the sea, what an outlook. My husband got to see a turtle whilst snorkelling and filmed it. We'd seem the amazing fish on other islands but not a turtle so we were over the moon. We really enjoyed the dining experience and thought the food and the service was amazing. We are both plant based so was expecting to have to make some special requests but that wasn't necessary as there was always choice, and it was good! The staff are so friendly and helpful, I wish I could name them all. I will give a shout out to Moomin and Govind on reception though. Sadly, I arrived on the island quite unwell and lost nearly half of my holiday, but I received some great little tips from them which I followed and was soon back to my fighting fit self to enjoy the rest of my holiday. They also helped us with the passenger declaration form for return home. It was so perfect, I am sad to be home and wish I could get on a plane right back there, right now!

Amazing 10 days. Words cannot describe the beauty of this place...yes maybe the rooms were a little tired but it gave it the rustic feel and could not fault the cleanliness.. the staff couldn't do enough for you. Due to flight delays they even kept the restaurant open for us we hadn't even checked in at this point... There was a great variety of food so always found something to eat. The sealife was amazing we saw a turtle, sharks a wonderful array of colourful fish and even got to see a pod of dolphins not once but twice. After a week of looking we eventually found the fruit bats hanging about in the trees. All I can say is to us it was paradise and will be returning next year. ( But please can we have the same room 😁)

10 night trip booked via Blue Bay Travel for my Husband and I. Very long journey for us 24 hour door to door. Speed boat transfer wait in Male 45 minutes. Met at Eriyadu and offered a cold flannel and iced tea which was welcomed. Quick check in and shown to our deluxe beach villa which was positioned near the beach bar. The room was spacious but some areas like the flooring and doors in need of urgent repairs. Large bed and a single bed , two chairs, a dressing table and only one bedside table. Good air con, comfortable bed. Hot water and reasonable water pressure for a shower but not enough to fill the bath. Lack of power points. Tv had no signal and patchy internet. Issue with bathroom when it rained due to open air shower. The floor flooded which caused serious slip hazard. Marketed as 4 star which it is not. Our room was kept very clean by our room boy who visited twice daily and did an excellent job. The food was edible however not once in 10 days did we get a hot meal even when attending restaurant at opening time. The A / I drinks for us were fine and both Tea and Coffee good. The entertainment was dire ! The island is lovely with some good snorkelling. At times during our visit the sea was choppy so only got one kayak trip in. I must complement all staff as they work long hours and have always got a smile and good morning or afternoon for you. The front desk staff were not friendly and we had to ask repeatedly for an ironing board and information on our departure. The return transfer to Male was extremely unpleasant as sea choppy. We had a lovely holiday but would probably not return to this Island.

General - It is a small and beautiful island, not far from Male(aprox 1h by speedboat), very relaxing, good services, helpful and friendly staff. What we liked: Snorkeling around the island is absolutely beautiful. There are significant variety of corals and fish, turtles and sharks, and other marine life – for us this was the main reason for choosing this resort and we were not disappointed Vegetation of the island is good developed and offer shadow from the sun almost everywhere Food was good and tasty, also we liked deserts (they served different flavored pana cota that we enjoy at lunch and dinner) Even the island is small they manage to arrange a small gym for the clients There is a diving school that offer a large service variety, including some interesting trips: in the season you can see manta-ray, which can be a really special experience. Check-in was very fast, 15-20 min we received the room. What we didn’t like: Boat transfer – it was a really disappointing and bad experience, especially on return to Male. Also, from my point of view, it is a very expensive service for a group transfer considering the average salary in the country (at this price it should at least be a private transfer). Overall we recomand the island especially for the persons that love snorkeling and marine life.
