It is a very lovely cottage and housekeeping and the gentleman who loaded us with wood for our fire pit was very nice! The breakfast was awesome! The park has some fantastic trails! I enjoyed the Nature Center as well! Just a great place to spend time away!

This place is the BEST. Starting with the staff and including the cottages. Every time we go there the place looks like no one has ever stayed there. It is that clean. The 3 bedroom 3 bath cottages are second to none. This is our 4 year staying there and we will be back next year. Also let's not forget the free breakfast for 6 every morning witch is wonderful.

Gulf State Park is amazing and staying at Eagle cottages made it magical. Everything we did was 5 star. Breakfast is provided every morning at Woodside Restaurant and it is fabulous. We had campfires every night and all the firewood is provided along with kindling. They have thought of everything! Bikes are also included. These are 1 speed bikes so if you want an e-bike or a 10 speed bring your own as the biking trails are so much fun to explore. I highly recommend staying at Eagle cottages. Booking are up to a year in advance so plan early!

The Eagle Cottages are SO NICE and every staff member we came in contact with was so pleasant and helpful. We stayed with my family of four, my parents, and brother’s family of four. Lake Shelby is gorgeous and the beach is in close proximity. We will definitely be back!

We arrived late at night to a beautifully decorated cabin with a perfectly arranged welcome gift. Such an unexpected, but greatly appreciated, touch of southern hospitality. The cabin was well equipped with everything we needed to enjoy morning coffee on the balcony overlooking Lake Shelby and evening wine enjoying the lights across the water. The staff was prompt, informative, and very attentive to our needs. We enjoyed breakfast each morning at Woodside; the menu offers just enough variety for everyone to find something they want and condensed enough that it's done right every time. The only issue was a couple of the beds, two of the three were terrible. Rock hard. I can say that with a smile, because everything things else more than made up for it (but when they do any improvements- that would be the only one needed).

The cabins are perfect for couples and the breakfast at Woodside is wonderful. The a**osphere is serene but close enough to the action to enjoy it when we want to. We enjoyed our morning beach walks and afternoon rides through the park. Use the bikes at the bicycle stations instead of the ones under the cabin. This is a perfect place to unwind and recharge.

The cottage was first class. I enjoyed our “glamping” experience. It was definitely more than I expected. The state park’s trails were awesome. And the breakfast at the Woodside restaurant was good every day. Looking forward to a return trip soon!

Our second time at the Cottages. They are beautifully decorated, clean, spacious. Add in the amenities of staying here like the shuttle that goes to the beach, free bikes, free hot breakfast at Woodside, naturalist-led hikes, fire pit with a large stack of wood, 28 miles of walking/biking trails make it not only enjoyable but also a reasonable cost. You can cook in the full kitchen or over the charcoal grill, go to restaurants within 15 minutes drive or have meals/groceries delivered. There was no aspect of our stay that I would change.

Our two month stay at the Eagle Cottages at Gulf State Park was exceptional. The cottage was lovely, spacious and conveniently located near our favorite restaurants and shopping area. The staff is outstanding, friendly, professional and any issue we encountered was taken care of immediately. We will be happily spending 2025 at the cottages.
