MM15543****I stumbled upon this newly opened hotel and booked it because I liked the facilities. When I contacted customer service, the sales director offered a lot of advice and even upgraded me to a family room. At the airport, the hotel picked me up in a Mercedes-Benz. The front desk staff was very friendly and attentive. The room was just as pictured: spacious and clean. The floorboards are a great option for those who don't like carpet. The hotel is a convenient ten-minute walk from the night market. The restaurant's portions are surprisingly generous. The braised pork is served in a bowl, haha, and it's delicious. Since my return flight was late, they even gave me a free late checkout. I'm so grateful to the sales director and the front desk staff. I highly recommend this hotel.

Price is on the high side but hotel made up for it with top notch services! At night they have several cultural activities in offer. I was able to join 2 of them and it was pretty fun! Plus they have me free cocktail on my last night there. Two thumbs up 👍👍

GGuest UserFuguo was so new when we visited in April 2025 that it was still being constructed around us! The staff made great efforts to minimize disruption and noise, and the room was very clean since it was basically new! Special thanks to Xiao Tian and the others at the front desk for going above and beyond for helping us locate a lost item, including contacting the business and arranging a courier to retrieve the lost item. Breakfast was great, too, and the breakfast staff very accommodating! The only caveat (especially for Western guests un-used to the ubiquitous smoking habit in China): we had a wonderful time at Fuguo hotel partially because this was the only truly non-smoking facility we encountered during our trip to China. Because it was so new, the hotel did not have the smell of smoke in its general areas or within the non-smoking rooms. However, while leaving on our last day, we noticed that a large group of guests took up residence and immediately started smoking in the elevator and lobby. We recommend the hotel reinforces its non-smoking policy - as stated on the lobby signs - so that all guests can breathe comfortably.

AAnonymous UserThe location of the hotel is easy to find, it is very convenient to take a taxi anywhere, and it is close to several attractions in the city.
Facilities: The facilities are complete, mainly the hotel room is equipped with a humidifier, which is very considerate for people who are not used to the dry weather in Dunhuang.
Hygiene: The bedding, bath towels, and bathroom are very clean. After staying in the room and going out to play, the room will be cleaned and the bath towels will be changed every day.
Environment: Very quiet, very good rest.
Service: The service is in place, and they will ask in advance whether you need to bring breakfast or beef noodles across the street.
A hotel with a relatively high cost performance, I will choose it next time I come!

SSaharathThe hotel location is good, right in the city center. The exterior may look like an ordinary modern Chinese hotel but the guest room interior is quite nice. Modern with lots of electrical outlets.
The breakfast is simple but tastes really good. The best for this China trip for me.
The hotel also has a free pickup and dropoff service from/to Dunhuang Airport and Dunhuang Railway Station.
One of a few drawbacks for me is the shower room design. I mean construction wise, not decoration wise. Even though there is a circumference groove on the shower room floor to drain water, the swinging glass shower door leaves space at the bottom, causing water to spill outside and pool on the floor. The floor is marbled so it could be slippery.
Another is that even though I had the hotel's WeChat account and had tried to contact them, as I thought I would be able to use the translation function on the app, I was not able to reach anyone or get any response.

BBerrrrrrrrrWe got free upgrade to the suite so that was nice. Very pretty river view and not as noisy as some of the reviews I've read. Probably because the weather was getting chilly.
Room was very spacious, even for just the size of the bedroom alone. Bed was comfortable and not too soft. But I will say that the light switches in the rooms and also the smart toilet seat were very confusing. Strangely, it had a large bathtub area, but a separate and very squished shower closet. The water didn't quite drain properly also.
Breakfast was okay. But considering how the city really is just a town in the desert, I'd say it's actually pretty good. The local restaurants are also options, but we had to get up super early for day trips, and didn't feel like freezing outside to look for food when it's still dark. Side note, the night market in town is nice but not much going on outside of that area.
The hotel is not in the city centre, but since the city is small, taxi is the way to go. We actually end up just getting the phone number of one of the taxi driver, and called her whenever we planned to head out.
I chose the hotel based on aesthetics and was not disappointed. But our suite was in the end of a very long hallway, so get ready to walk if you are not near the elevator.

MM52783****When traveling on business, I am most afraid of encountering a hotel with poor soundproofing, but this hotel is simply the ”caring representative of the hotel industry”! When I arrived in the early morning, the guy at the front desk took the initiative to help move the suitcases. When checking in, he gently reminded me that ”there is an ice machine at the end of the corridor, and you can add ice if you stay up late to work.” In the room, there was an eye-protection desk lamp and free mineral water next to the table. The sockets were marked with ”mobile phone fast charging” and ”computer interface”. The detail control was directly grasped! There is a constant temperature shower in the shower room, so you don’t have to worry about the water temperature being hot and cold when taking a shower. The water volume is really large. , Dunhuang feels like a relatively desolate city. I didn’t expect the hotel facilities to be so amazing. They also gave us water before leaving. This feeling of being cared about is so warm. I have already recommended it to other friends who plan to come to Dunhuang.

HHeong Siew YinLocation is very ideal, along a pleasant Main Street, around 5 to 8 mins walk to night market, yet away from the rowdiness of tourists. Just opposite there are convenience shops, a western bakery (Angelia) and stretch of small restaurants in an alley which are of good quality.
Front desk services are fantastic especially helpful for foreigners ( though they don’t speak English- try to use e-translator), regarding local attractions and getting a cab for you if encounter difficulties. They are genuinely helpful to try to overcome your difficulties. Special mention on Ya Jin who even asked her regular taxi driver to accompany us to buy the Mogao Grottoes tickets and arranged for a long distance taxi trip to Liuyuan South Railway station. Wang Na also offered her WeChat contact number if we have difficulties coming back at night. Really warm hospitality.
Even the hotel driver who fetched us from the airport was nice(complimentary service). The housekeepers are too hardworking.
Only complain I have is the breakfast which served exactly the same thing every morning and of limited choices. Thus Angelia bakery just opposite was really a good alternative.

GGuest UserIt was my first time to Dunhuang. I looked up the hotel online in advance and heard that Dunhuang Wansheng International Hotel was good. After arriving at the hotel, I found that the front desk was very enthusiastic and the room was very cozy. The key is that the hotel has a large parking lot, which is very friendly for friends who drive by themselves! The hotel is in a good location, whether it is eating, shopping or visiting the night market, it is very convenient. Like Dunhuang Wansheng International Hotel 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

KKevan KeeganReally good location only ten minute walk from Night Market, airport bus drop, Dunhuang Museum and great choice of local food. Tremendous coffee shop Lucky Box serves Illy and great small cakes. Dunhuang Museum is free and really worth a visit. Taxis and Didi are plentiful.
The room was very big and comfortable with great shower, A/C and huge TV (but very complicated w subscription cable channels - I couldn’t find a way to get regular TV!).
Breakfast was disappointing - a basic Chinese offering only available 7.30-9.30 and no fresh fruit.
Front desk staff very friendly and helpful.
