GGuest UserIn addition to the must-see attractions of Mogao Grottoes and Singing Sand Mountain in Dunhuang, I must recommend desert camping, camel teams, unlimited sand sliding, and exciting desert motorcycles. The experience is N times better than that of scenic spots. You don’t have to queue up and see crowds of people. You can go deep into the desert, watch the sunrise and sunset, and admire the starry sky. You will feel like you have contracted the entire desert. There is endless barbecue and fruit to eat, endless red wine, beer, and apricot peel water to drink, and the magnificent desert fireworks fairy wands. Everything is almost perfect. The price is really worth it. I recommend it to everyone.

SShimingzanmeihuoguo🅿️ **Location:** The guesthouse is conveniently situated within a residential complex, right by the Dang River. In the evenings, a pleasant walk along the river offers beautiful night views and access to numerous street food stalls. It's also within easy reach of various attractions, and on-site parking in the complex is a big plus for convenience.
🤝 **Service:** After a rather challenging night camping in the desert, I messaged the owner early in the morning to inquire about an early check-in. The owner was incredibly responsive and kind, immediately sending the access code and helpful tips. Upon arriving at the apartment via direct elevator, we were pleasantly surprised to find a delicious watermelon waiting for us on the dining table – a truly thoughtful and refreshing welcome!
🏠 **Facilities:** The apartment itself is incredibly spacious! Boasting 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and 2 living rooms, it's well-furnished and ideal for larger families or groups of friends traveling together. A good selection of complimentary disposable toiletries was also provided, which was much appreciated.

MM276553****The last stop after leaving Dunhuang, I booked this place to visit Crescent Lake. This is a homestay run by local farmers. The indoor environment and sanitation are OK, and the facilities are relatively complete. The boss is a young man, a nice person. He will try his best to meet any needs. He will also drive a farm vehicle to pick you up when you go to the scenic spot. There are many camels nearby. It is said that the camels for riding at Crescent Lake are provided by nearby residents.

When staying in the wilderness, the first thing is to look at the scenery. The scenery of the desert hills is not to mention. Although it is at the foot of the mountain, it is still refreshing.
It’s also great to take photos in an open space. They gave us guidance on how to take pictures of the starry sky and provided a mobile phone holder. It was great. PS. If you come here, be sure to ask the housekeeper or the boss for a candlelight lantern (the store will provide it for free). The atmosphere for taking photos is great. Got it
In terms of meals, we ordered a barbecue from the store and ate on the terrace of the room (four people can sit on it, and if more than four people eat on the sand below the terrace)

We saw the beautiful desert starry sky and also enjoyed the sunrise and sunset. The environment was very good and the atmosphere was full. It was really great.

Riding a camel through the sand dunes and watching the sunrise and sunset are extremely beautiful; sand sliding and desert motorcycles bring full of dynamism and vitality. The hotel service is even more remarkable. From the moment of booking, there is a dedicated person to contact you. During the tour, you can take photos and give instructions. The details are very attentive. The experience is great and must be praised!

HHeong Siew YinLocation is very ideal, along a pleasant Main Street, around 5 to 8 mins walk to night market, yet away from the rowdiness of tourists. Just opposite there are convenience shops, a western bakery (Angelia) and stretch of small restaurants in an alley which are of good quality.
Front desk services are fantastic especially helpful for foreigners ( though they don’t speak English- try to use e-translator), regarding local attractions and getting a cab for you if encounter difficulties. They are genuinely helpful to try to overcome your difficulties. Special mention on Ya Jin who even asked her regular taxi driver to accompany us to buy the Mogao Grottoes tickets and arranged for a long distance taxi trip to Liuyuan South Railway station. Wang Na also offered her WeChat contact number if we have difficulties coming back at night. Really warm hospitality.
Even the hotel driver who fetched us from the airport was nice(complimentary service). The housekeepers are too hardworking.
Only complain I have is the breakfast which served exactly the same thing every morning and of limited choices. Thus Angelia bakery just opposite was really a good alternative.

GGuest UserDunhuang Special Mingsha Mountain Desert Camping I had experienced desert camping countless times before coming to Dunhuang. My friend went there yesterday and said he never wanted to go there again. Today I browsed Little Red Book and came across a treasure camping site, located deep in the desert of the camping base. The starry sky at night is beautiful, and you can even see the Milky Way. Unfortunately, you can’t take pictures with your mobile phone. It’s very shocking to see it with your own eyes. The boss is very nice and provides unlimited food, which is certainly not comparable to the starchy meatballs served during team camping. Grilled prawns, chicken wings, pork belly, colorful pepper skewers, grilled sausages, corn, broccoli, and local specialty scones. You can drink cola, beer and red wine as much as you want. If you want to eat fruit, call the boss. Everything will satisfy you. There will be an off-road vehicle to pick you up to the campground. Along the way, the little friends exclaimed that it was so exciting and the free roller coaster. The camp also has off-road motorcycles and sandboarding experiences. The most important thing is that there are few people and the environment is good. It may not be suitable for friends who like to have fun. We did not choose to stay overnight, so the boss helped us call a taxi back to the hotel. However, Dunhuang was in peak season and the driver did not come to pick us up. In the end, the boss drove us back to the hotel for free. Really awesome fried chicken!

MM516538****This is the first time I have experienced physical and mental relaxation after the epidemic was lifted this year. The receptionist and the service staff were very enthusiastic. They also introduced the special food and delicious restaurants in Dunhuang, and gave me Dunhuang's special apricot peel tea, which was sour and sweet and delicious. I also saw the starry sky at night. It was very beautiful and a wonderful night. And it was in the desert, very quiet. It was worth the trip. I hope I can come again if I have the chance~
