Anonymous UserThe location of this hotel is really great, near Syntagma Square. The X95 airport bus stop is just a 5-minute walk away, and the metro station is also nearby. The price is quite reasonable. There’s a free buffet breakfast, but no hot food 🥹. The room is spacious, but the bathroom is quite small 😅. The only downside is that there’s no complimentary bottled water, and the room is filled with chargeable snacks, drinks, and alcohol.

CFDOlympus Residence is a comfortable and modern place to stay in Athens. The apartment is spacious, clean, and equipped for a short stay. Just starting to show some age but the beds were comfortable, the air conditioning worked well, and having kitchen and laundry facilities was a definite plus.
The location is in a pleasant, quiet neighbourhood. Most of Athens’ major attractions, including Syntagma Square and the Acropolis, are around 1.5–2 km away. This was a good walk for us, but travellers with limited mobility or those wanting to be right in the heart of the action may prefer somewhere closer.
There were a few areas that could be improved. Communication before arrival was disappointing. I contacted the property several times to ask about the possibility of an early check-in, but several messages went unanswered, including a call to the listed emergency number. I eventually received a response only after sending a text message to that number. Better communication would make the arrival experience much smoother.
The kitchen was functional, but the utensils and cooking equipment were very basic. Anyone planning to prepare more than simple meals may find the kitchen somewhat limited.
Overall, despite the communication issues and the basic kitchen setup, the apartment was clean, comfortable, and offered good value. With a few improvements, particularly in guest communication, it would be an excellent place to stay.

stef55I'll break this down a bit into the above 4 sections:
Cleanliness 5/5 - was awesome and had absolutely no issues at all.
Location 4/5 - I put this as a 4 simply because its not right on the doorstep to the Tourist area. Was a about a 10 minute walk. I always prefer to jist book one metro station from the popular spots when traveling as its way cheaper and I like to walk around anyway. Please note Omonia is a bit dodgey compared to Plako (generally there are homeless everywhere though). Just Athens in general.
Service 5/5 - 24 hour staffed front deak who can help with everything. Just msg them on WhatsApp. All fluent in English and happy to help. Shout out to George for giving me good advise on how to get to the airport super early (metro starts 5:30am).
Amenities 5/5 - I always always make sure I get a place with a washing machine, especially when its 38 degrees out! That paired with the awesome air conditioning and full kitchen (stove, frying pan, pots etc) made the stay really relaxed and pleasant.

Quite modern entrance hall and room (bathroom for disabled was not our choice). Reception friendly and provided good recommendation for late dinner.
The first morning I woke up by very loud cleaning personnel. Walls are paper thin and door not soundproof. You hear everything.
Breakfast terrace with nice view. Pool terrace too small and only available for some hours if slot pre-booked.
Music, food and shisha on the rooftop club/restaurant quite okay.

Guest UserLiked:
- There is a place to keep luggage, I haven't used it but it might be useful.
- Nice views.
- No mold smell. The previous accommodation in Athens had this problem.
- Internet worked fine. Previous accommodation had problems with it.
Disliked:
- AC was moldy inside. When you start it, put some light from your phone to the inside it's all grown in mold. Looks like it wasn't cleaned for a very long time.
- AC is from some cheap no-name brand. It was loud and defected. When you put a desired temperature let's say 21C, it automatically switches it after a moment to a random one between 23 and 25. It was very problematic, thermometer that I had with me was showing 24C in the room during a night. I can not sleep well at such temperature, so decided I to open the window - temperature got lower, but then the sleep was disturbed by nosies coming from outside.
- Online check in process is unnecessarily difficult. I was checking it later to the other place online and the form was much shorter, easier to fill.
- The area isn't nice. I've been staying in two other areas of Athens so far, and both were better.

The hotel reception is spacious by Europe standards. Checkin was seamless however we had to pay for taxes at the time of checkin. Took a little while to work out the lift as the doors don’t open automatically. You had to manually open the front door to get into a reasonable small lift that catered for 2 people and 2 luggage. It reminded me of an old school type lifts seen in movies. Rather cool.
Rooms looked newly renovated and modern. Pod Coffee machine with illy pods, desk, a single chair and a wall hung tv. With this said, we had a room facing the road and whether the windows didn’t close properly or the windows were very thin with no sound proofing, but the noise from the road was bad. We were on the 5th floor and every car that went by, we heard. The heavier vehicles were worse. Does not work especially if you are a light sleeper.
Breakfast was average with comparison to many other hotels around the world however I would say quite sufficient by European standards. Precooked eggs, scrambled, boiled and sunny side up, basic cereal and fruit selection and bakery was a bit dry. Omelette made on order.
Staff in restaurant were excellent and extremely helpful.
Location was excellent for this hotel as it was walking distance from buses and train, restaurants and some markets.
Communications with its reservations team was shocking. Even after 6 emails with regard to a future booking, I did not get a single reply. Eventually met the hotel manager and had the issue resolved so a big thanks to Ms. Maria.
Overall, comfortable apart from the road noise. Would I book again, will not be my default hotel so I may be looking at other hotels but would not rule it out completely.

Guest UserOur first trip to Europe, so there were things that I imagine are very European. Tiny elevators and key card access to power your room were a first for us. We were only there for one night before leaving on a cruise, but overall I was very happy with our stay. The front desk check in was excellent and the breakfast spread was outstanding. The loud returning guest at 1:30 in the morning were the only irritant, and that was bad guests and not the hotels fault.
