When I booked, I felt the hotel had been open for too long and thought it would be very old. After checking in, the experience was excellent. The housekeeping staff cleaned everything spotlessly. I stayed on the second floor, and the view was beautiful.

Nestled in a serene corner of West Lake, the InterContinental Hanoi Westlake feels like an over-water palace. The resort features several standalone pavilions, creating a wonderfully tranquil and beautiful estate that is truly stunning. All staff members are incredibly friendly and courteous. The on-demand golf cart service, efficiently shuttling guests between the lobby and the various buildings, is particularly helpful and responsive. The hotel's breakfast buffet is extensive and diverse; you can savor your coffee and a wonderful meal while enjoying the beautiful lake view, truly appreciating the good things in life.

A resort hotel. Very clean and tidy. Swimming pools around. Breakfast has a lot of variety. The only thing the bed is very small.

The hotel doesn't look old at all. I loved the shutters, and the overall decor had a lovely Vietnamese flair. Breakfast was excellent, making for a fantastic stay.

Everything was pretty good overall, with a beautiful view and a delicious breakfast. The only downside is that it's quite remote and far from the bustling city center. If you're looking for a relaxing getaway, it's a great choice. InterContinental quality is consistently excellent, and they even upgraded my room, which was a nice bonus! It's a shame there was no late checkout, though.

Wonderful stay at the hotel, which is on the lake, on the water. The service was great and thr staff were very helpful. the rooms clean and beautifully decorated. we loved the breakfast, which had great variety of food. the only downside that i can mention and guests should be aware, is that when we left to the airport, it was raining and i coulnt find any  grab taxis. The bell boy offered to call a taxi, the electric one, which to my surprise arrived within 40seconds ( obviously standing close to the hotel ). he showed me the price something over 400k and said extra 20 for airport fee or something. when we arrived to the airport the driver demanded extra 300 000vnd stating i have to pay for the rain! this is a price equivalent to one ride from the hotel. We ended up paying 740 000vnd which is very expensive. So it seems that the bell boys are running a taxi operation to scam the guests, as definitely he knew the driver and he called him for us. Just make sure you leave enough time to get a proper meter taxi. 

This has to be the best hotel in Hanoi. Situated directly on West Lake, it offers breathtaking views.

The room was nice with a lake view, and the service was excellent. Both breakfast and the hotel restaurant's meals were delicious. The location was also convenient for getting around. The only thing to be aware of is the number of mosquitoes; if you're prone to bites, it's advisable to bring your own repellent.

Our recent 2-day escape to the Intercontinental Hanoi Westlake (October 4-6, 2025) was an absolute delight, leaving us thoroughly impressed. The excellent service set a high standard that continued throughout our stay. Our room was wonderfully spacious, providing a comfortable and luxurious sanctuary after a day of exploration. The buffet breakfast was a true highlight, a fantastic variety from authentic local Vietnamese dishes to delightful Korean options and classic Western menu– a perfect start to each day. Evenings were magical, especially at the Sunset Bar. We were incredibly fortunate to have clear weather, allowing us to witness breathtaking sunsets over the West Lake from what truly is the best vantage point. It was an unforgettable experience. We also enjoyed a memorable dinner at the hotel Cafe Du Lac Restaurant, where the staff were not only attentive but also generously shared fascinating insights about Hanoi, adding a personal touch to our dining experience. We highly recommend it for anyone seeking an exceptional stay in Hanoi.

The hotel room is spacious and comfy, with a air purifier and a huge walk-in closet. The service is nice and the breakfast is of a wide of variety of food. Spent 3 nights and it was just perfect.
