An upscale hotel offering great value for money. From the windows, you're treated to unparalleled views of the Seto Inland Sea, its islands, and Hiroshima's stunning night skyline. I would absolutely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Hiroshima. The staff spoke good English and were very friendly. The only minor drawback was that the bathroom walls appeared a bit dated, but this is understandable given the hotel's long operational history.
I recently stayed at the Oriental Hotel Hiorshima, a charming hotel that shows its age in the building and facilities. However, the friendly staff made a lasting impression with their exceptional hospitality.
Upon arrival, I was greeted with a complimentary welcome drink and snacks, a thoughtful touch that made me feel valued. Despite the vintage vibe, my stay was incredibly comfortable and enjoyable.
If you're looking for a place with character and excellent service, the Oriental Hotel Hiorshima is a great choice. Just be prepared for its charming quirks!
Modern and clean hotel, located close to the electric train (trams) Reception is located on the top floor (14) lots of nice accessories available plus lovely snacks and coffee/tea through out the day, highly appreciated. Room was lovely, clean, has small window, but not an issue. Breakfast was standard, and staff were polite. Shops and restaurants on road, easy to walk to memorial park, about 15 minutes, 3 stops from main train station, easy to navigate to Miyajimaguchi island. Wonderful two days.

Good hotel in an outstanding location for Hiroshima’s most important tourist sites: the Memorial Peace Park, Museum, and the iconic Iron Dome. The Knot is a 10-minute walk from these sites.
Less desirable is the lack of viable restaurants-especially breakfast- besides the hotel’s restaurant- in the immediate area; while the hotel restaurant is fine, it’s pricey and gets redundant after a few meals.
Access to the Hiroshima train station is a mere 15-minute walk to the #2 & #6 trolley line.
Don’t be weirded out when you can’t find the reception desk to check in; it’s on the 14th floor for inexplicable reasons. There’s a bar with snacks there, too.
Checkout is a breeze. Just toss your key into a bin slot on the elevator on your way out.
Overall, a solid hotel choice.
We had a pleasant stay at this hotel in Hiroshima. The location is excellent — right in the city center, close to Hondori Shopping Street, several malls, bars, and restaurants. It was easy to explore the city, with the nearest tram station about a 10-minute walk away, offering direct access to the central railway station and other parts of Hiroshima.
We stayed in a Semi Double Room, which was quite compact, and the bed felt a bit narrow for two people. That said, the amenities were thoughtful and well-curated. We especially liked the traditional-style bathroom, as well as the complimentary sheet masks and foot patches — a nice touch after a day of walking around the city.
The staff were friendly and helpful, as you’d expect in Japan. Overall, despite the small room, we had a good experience and appreciated the convenience and service.
I stayed here while traveling alone.
The main features are the large public bath, and Hokke Club's delicious breakfast with a wide selection of local dishes.
As for the location, it's convenient, with Heiwa Park within walking distance. It's a little over a 10-minute walk from the downtown area, but there is a shopping street close to the hotel, so it's a good choice if you want a change of pace from the downtown downtown area and want to experience a more local atmosphere.
A delight to be able to stay in this wonderful property. The property is really new and still 'smells new' the highlight facilities are the shower-room next to the swimming pool and the gym. The shower-room is equiped is Dyson hair dryers and has 'unlimited towels' for use. The room is pretty large for japan standards and the parking here is a breeze. Highly recommend! Most shops and eatries are closeby and you can walk there, Donki (open 24 hours) is just about a 10-12 minute walk.
The room is definitely small for medium to big size luggages. My friend and I brought 2 hand carry size luggages and both fit perfectly at each corners of the room but of course it took up a lot of walking space. The bed wasnt the most comfortable but I had worse ones. The location was perfect in my opinion. It was walking distance to the shopping street and theres a delicious indian restaurant nearby! (About 5 mins walk i think)
Overall; i would come book again!
Beautiful view of the park from the room and there are lots if shops and restaurants not too far away. Staff were very helpful. Room was pretty good for the price.
Came back to this place a second time. Breakfast was outstanding. We had a river view room which was on the 15th floor - spectacular view. We were fortunate and got a double (maybe slightly larger - almost a queen sized) bed. The room was not huge but it was big enough, we weren't cramped. The only real downside is there is no onsen or swimming pool. The staff are friendly and helpful. We would come back again.

GGuest UserThe hostel has a perfect location, making it easy to get around and explore. The beds are spacious and comfortable, and there’s even a convenient area to dry clothes, which is really handy for longer stays. The staff were all friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better.
Zz3phyrIn unit laundry is absolutely amazing. Can pick up some detergent at a 7-11 or FamilyMart next to the hotel for a couple hundred yen that can last you quite awhile compared to the coin ops that easily takes more.
Only downside is the full room makeup is done for a charge and that there are a lot of stains on the couch which is very off-putting. The room is smaller than what the picture shows, but thoughtfully laid out carefully with all of the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. Location is excellent near the famed Nagarekawa where there is a lot of dining and entertainment. Also a short walking distance to Hondori Shopping Street and the A-bomb dome.
AAnonymous UserIt was a clean and very fashionable hostel.
Access to tourist spots in the city is also very good.
There was a public bath and a tavern within walking distance, so I used it at night.
However, there is no parking lot, so if you want to visit by car, you need to park in a nearby parking lot.
Also, since it is a hostel, there are no amenities.
In addition, please note that you cannot eat and drink in your room.
GGuest UserThe hotel boasts a great riverside location with beautiful surroundings, and it's within walking distance of the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park. Parking is available nearby, and you'll find plenty of restaurants and convenience stores in the vicinity. The hotel also offers laundry facilities, which is very convenient for guests.
AAussieLee✅ The hotel was good.
✅ Location is not close to railway but close to Tran/streetcar.
✅ Veey clean and today hotel.
🛑Stayed 3 nights, cleaning was only once on my last full day, not sure of the reasoning for that.
🛑 Thin glassed balcony doors, noisy to outside people and traffic.
애애옹밍맹몽I had a very comfortable rest and went! First of all, if you don't mind walking, you can stay at a good price. There are also convenient facilities nearby. One day, it rained so I didn't go out much, but I was able to borrow an umbrella at the front desk, which was convenient!! I couldn't open the window, and it was blocked by a wall, so the sun didn't come in well, but there was a ventilator, so the air was pleasant. I had a comfortable rest~
GGuest UserIt's easily accessible, just three minutes from the station.
The breakfast is delicious.
There was a duplicate hotel room, so they gave me a free room, which I appreciated.
周周It's easy to find by car, but because the parking lot is more difficult to find and is not next door, it is about a street away. The front desk clerk was very enthusiastic. I didn't know that we had booked when we went in. We had to pay 1400 円 instead of 3500 円 for the regular price. The large bath also has an open-air bath on the roof at 7 / F. Salt bath, etc. The equipment is a bit old but still clean. The lounge has a big smell, and the restaurant snacks are not very delicious. A whole new experience.
