Best Hiroshima City Hotels

"The accommodation was actually better then I thought. Starting off the staff was really helpful and was able to speak English. The floors are stuck separated by gender and I was on the sixth floor, which had a nice as well they gave great selection of amenities, such as sleep, clothing, toothbrushes, razors, towels, etc. they had a lounge on each floor where you can just chill in the surrounding areas. It’s pretty nice too with a family Mart being right next-door and nakau across the street as well. Pretty close to the attractions in Hiroshima all within walkable distance."

"The room is really tiny. No space to put luggage. After open luggage cannot walk. Breakfast is so miserable limited quantities people have to startquwuing before it start else nothing left to eat. Dining area so small not enough seats. People have to pack to eat in room. Good thing is we can pack and bring out. To make things worsen is there is 2 hotels of the same name..no. 1 and 2 so near each other. The day we arrived is raining heavily and we ended up at the hotel no. 1"

"Hotel is very near the Peace Memorial Park and only steps away from Chuden-mae streetcar stop. It is also within walking distance of the highway bus station at Sogo department store. My room faces the streetcar stop and is just of perfect size to me. The bathroom is a tad small but hey, this is Japan after all where space is a premium. I didn’t add on breakfast. The hotel provides tea and coffee at the lobby (from 06:00 to midnight) and also offers complimentary nightwear and free rental of pillow. The furniture is a bit dated but still functional. I have no complaints at all and would highly recommend especially to solo travellers. And the hotel personnel were so kind and helpful and helped guide me on the streetcars to take to Miyajima and they also sold me the day-ticket. I was able to leave my bags at the lobby before and after checking in and out respectively. To be honest, I’d prepared myself for the worst after reading some reviews but I had a great stay. No regrets!"

"Pros: It's relatively close to Hiroshima Station, about a 12-minute walk, so the location is quite convenient. Breakfast: To my surprise, it was Matsuya… pretty average. Cons: For a hotel in Japan, not having an air purifier means there's an excessive amount of dust. After sleeping for just one night, I accumulated a lot of phlegm in my throat. The step into the bathroom is incredibly high, almost comically so, probably around 20 centimeters. I found it quite dangerous. The front desk is on the second floor, but you have to take an elevator to get there, and also to come back down. I think this is very inconvenient during peak hours and also poses a fire safety hazard. Overall, I don't recommend this Koko hotel…"

"This is a great hostel. The staff are super friendly and helpful. They speak good English and there are many other solo travelers that come here. I met some great people. There's a kitchen too that's well equipped. The bedrooms are also very spacious and comfy. My only downside is being woken up at 10am everyday as the staff come in to clean the rooms from guests that have checked out."

"I stayed for the first time this time. The room was ”smoking allowed”, but when I contacted him in advance that he would not smoke, it was properly deodorized. The location is close to Hiroshima Station and there are many restaurants, so there is no problem. There were two elevators, and I was never crowded when I went out and had to wait. I would like to stay again next time."

"The hotel is quite convenient from the station. You just follow the underground passage, take the escalator on your left, cross the river, and you're there. I took the staff's advice and quickly went to Miyajima, which helped me avoid the heavy rain the next day. Dining options in the area are also very convenient."

"The hotel is about a 15-minute walk from Hiroshima's busiest pedestrian street, making shopping and dining very convenient. Although the breakfast restaurant isn't particularly spacious, the variety of dishes is excellent and they taste delicious. This hotel offers great value for money."

"The hostel had a great location. The beds weren’t the most comfortable but you had your privacy. Toilets and shower were very clean. All in all a nice hostel to stay for 1 or two nights. For a longer stay I would recommend a different one because the beds weren’t that comfortable:))"

"Great location, 5 mins walk (flat surface) from Hiroshima Station, convenient store exactly next to the hotel. Great service from front desk staffs, proactively assisting guests during check in. Self-service luggage storage available, just simply lock it with the IC card (Transportation card). However, it’s quite full during check out time, consider to use the paid lockers (¥500-1200) at Hiroshima Station if needed (next to the station taxi stand, ＜5 mins walk from the hotel) Spacious rooms, with individual air conditioning/ heater, and humidifier. The room is neat and clean, no weird smells, there’s a window as well. Amenities are provided, located next to the front desk. Overall great experience with Sotetsu Hotel, definitely worth the price."
