I had a pleasant stay at this hotel and would definitely recommend it to others. The location is quite convenient, situated right next to a well-known bakery, which made it easy to grab fresh bread and snacks anytime. There’s also a nice burger place just across the street, perfect for a quick and satisfying meal. The surrounding area is lively enough without being too noisy, so it’s a good balance for travelers who want both comfort and accessibility. The hotel itself was comfortable and provided everything I needed for a short stay. While it may not be overly luxurious, it offers good value for convenience.

A fantastic hotel! The afternoon tea and breakfast were excellent. The staff were super friendly and polite. The coffee here is amazing and delicious. The rooms are large, clean, and very well soundproofed. It's also very close to Anping Old Street, making it a highly recommended hotel. I'll definitely come back for a long stay next time!

Ready to dive into Tainan’s captivating old streets and creative energy? The Kindness Day Hotel exceeded my expectations from the get-go—think comfy amenities, a breakfast buffet you’ll dream about, and a location that puts you just steps from historic hot spots like Guohua Street, You'ai Night Market, and Anping Old Street. 🏮 Staying here means you’re in the heart of it all! Arrive by taxi or hop on the train—either way, you’re within easy reach of Tainan’s iconic foodie walks, temples, and that ruggedly photogenic Anping coastline. The wooden tableware at breakfast is a lovely touch; it matches the bright, modern interiors and gives serious “insta-worthy” vibes, especially on sunny mornings. What sets Kindness Day apart? Free bikes for breezy city exploring, a 24-hour supply of coffee and ice cream (essential fuel for full travel days!), and a guest laundry so you can pack light. Got a craving late at night? From 7 to 10 pm, there are free snacks and beverages to keep those midnight munchies at bay. The staff really make the stay—everyone is genuinely helpful and always ready to guide you or share local tips for the best photo angles and hidden gems. If you love snapping pics, check out the modern light-filled lobby and take your camera out to the nearby vibrant outdoor art scenes. Book early on trip.com for the best rates, and try to time your snack breaks for that magical 7-10 pm window. Tainan tip: plan a walking route from the hotel—hit the night markets, then unwind at Anping’s outdoor spots before heading back for dessert and downtime. #Tainan #KindnessDayHotel #FoodieTravel #HistoricTaiwan #HotelReview

Yoshi Hotel - Tainan Sinmei Branch

Overall, I had a very good stay and think this hotel deserves a higher rating, especially compared with some higher-star hotels I stayed at in Taiwan. The room was very clean and housekeeping was thorough. I also really appreciated the free coffee (black coffee) and water dispenser. The shared kitchen and dining area are very useful, as you do not have to eat inside your room. Having the garbage disposal downstairs is also great, especially as you do not have to keep food waste in the room. The air conditioning was strong, the fridge worked well, and there was also a large shared fridge/freezer and dishes available on the ground floor. The washing machine was excellent: 40 TWD for a roughly 50-minute wash and 10 TWD for detergent. Unlike many other hotels, it also had warm-water programs, and my clothes actually smelled fresh afterwards. The receptionist was very helpful, and being able to contact reception through LINE while outside the hotel was extremely convenient. They responded quickly and were always helpful. The elevator and stairs were also good. I especially appreciated that there is a guest toilet available even after check-out. Also, a hairdryer and slippers were also provided, which was convenient. A few negatives: the walls are very thin, the bed was too short for me (1.73m), hand soap was missing, and I found it unusual that toilet paper cannot be flushed. Check-in only starts at 4 p.m., which is quite late. One additional thing to note for taller guests: the bathroom ceiling is quite low. The biggest issue was noise from other guests. There was a lot of loud noise after 11 p.m. and late into the night. It would be very helpful if the hotel introduced clear quiet-hour rules and reminded guests at check-in to keep noise down after around 10 p.m. Regardless of where people come from, being considerate of other hotel guests should be basic courtesy, especially late at night. Apart from the noise, this was a very good hotel with excellent facilities (see pictures) and helpful staff.

The space was comfortable, and I loved the bidet toilet and powerful hairdryer. They even provided instant noodles, drinks, and snacks. There's a bus stop right outside the hotel that goes to the Garden Night Market, and you can also rent bicycles. Parking is available. The breakfast was really rich and delicious – I accidentally ate too many pastries! The restaurant space is large, and there's also water available for refills.

Staffs are friendly and helpful since day one, provided me alot of travel and food information, had a couple of nice chats and laughs with them. They have made arrangements to prepare a breakfast treat on the last day of my stay knowing I hadn’t had time to try a certain local dish. Do bring your own toiletries as the country advocates sustainability. There are complimentary snacks and beverages at the lobby. Really appreciate and recommend this place for accommodation when you are in Tainan. Like they say, if you haven’t been to Tainan (the oldest city on the island), you haven’t really been to Taiwan.

The staff were really friendly, and the facilities were great too. We had a mud hot spring on the balcony, so we didn't even have to go downstairs to soak. It made for a very relaxing and enjoyable day.

The hotel's location is super convenient, it's a great 10-minute walk to the station, and nearby attractions are all within walking distance. The room was new and very clean, but the toilet flush wasn't great; you couldn't throw toilet paper in, and it often took 3 or more flushes to clear everything, which was a bit awkward when staying with friends. The shower head also wasn't very powerful; if you adjusted the temperature to be slightly hotter, the water pressure would become very weak. The hairdryer wasn't strong enough either; even on the highest setting, it took ages to dry my hair.

Location: Super convenient! Guohua Street, Hai'an Road, and Minsheng Road are all just a block away. You can turn a corner and be on You'ai Street or Zhongzheng Road. It’s a comfortable 10-minute walk to Koxinga Ancestral Shrine, Hayashi Department Store, Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Ximen Store, National Museum of Taiwan Literature, Tainan Art Museum, Judicial Museum, and Confucius Temple Commercial District. Shops: On Zhongzheng Road, there's Poya, and across from it is Wusong Temple, a great spot for souvenirs. Cosmed and Watsons are just a block away. There are so many eateries nearby! Turn left onto You'ai Street and you'll find You'ai Market, which has several food stalls open late, though it can get hot in summer as there's no air conditioning. Hotel: The hotel itself is fine. The Wi-Fi, facilities, and cleanliness are all what you'd expect from a typical hotel. I particularly liked the bathroom – spacious, bright, and clean. However, the room and bed felt a bit damp, and even with the fan on, that feeling wouldn't go away. Here's the main issue: something was biting me. First night: Two bites. Second night: One bite. Third night: Two bites. Fourth night: None, because I checked out early that morning. The room was only cleaned once during my four-night stay, and they didn't change the sheets. I wonder if that's why bugs might be hiding in the bed and carpet. I thought about asking the hotel to change the bedding, but then I figured it wouldn't make a difference. The hotel is actually well-maintained. I just hope they can step up their cleaning and disinfection efforts, especially for the bedding and carpets. Upon check-in, I received a small gift: a coin purse or a drink holder. I chose the coin purse, which is very practical! 👍

The hotel room was clean and basic for the most part and a few small bugs in the bathroom, but nothing major. 4 bottles of water are included and slippers. Beds are firm and comfortable and pillows are ok. However, if you are allergic to napthelene (moth balls), then stay away as the place is strong smelling of moth balls though the room doesn't have a closet or wardrobe. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The bathroom is very basic without a door rack to hang your clothes and the shower partition is only enough to shield the toilet from splashes and without any sliding doors. Toilet doesn't accept toilet paper, so you'll need to put into the provided waste basket. The young lady at the counter was generally helpful, but in a basic kind of way. The hotel is conveniently located right across from the Taiwan railway station in ”downtown” kind of area. The lobby looked big, clean, and decent with a ”putting green” off to the side. The room is quiet, though there are people talking loudly as they check in late at night. The lobby “free wifi” connects, but has no internet service. Room wifi is unsecured, so make sure you have a vpn or use it for unimportant things. They also provide a free luggage storage service before you check in so you can sightsee without lugging your luggage around town. Overall, it’s a good choice for a basic short stay at a very convenient location. The price is also very good. Recommended choice for your next Tainan trip.
