"Very clean and spacious hotel! Service provided by the staff were very good as well. Room was clean and tidy and amenities are provided at the reception area when you check in. The hotel is also walking distance from various food stalls and just right beside is a shopping mall. Very nice experience!"

"Their was no buffet as mentioned on their profile, imagine expecting to get breakfast buffet and then later go exploring the city and be deceived by the front desk agent not even knowing that was actually include on your reservation, so they ended up made you some breakfast with a small choice between 2, it's like a scam to get you there đŤ, but after that everything was ok for me"

"I had a nice stay. Besides hygiene articles, water bottles were also provided. Unfortunately, the only heat water storage was very noisy, even in the night, which sometimes made it a little uncomfortable. Note that the bathroom door is only a glass door, so not isolated and, if necessary, inappropriate for two people when you appreciate privacy. There was no separate shower cabin. Overall, I found the stay good and would return here as a single traveler for a few days."

"My stay at Hotel Tainan was just okay overall. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which I really appreciated. The breakfast was good, offering a decent variety of options to start the day.
The room itself was fine, though it felt a bit outdated, particularly the bathroom, which was noticeably old, except for the modern heated toilet. While functional, the overall atmosphere of the hotel didnât feel particularly pleasant or inviting. It served its purpose, but I wouldnât describe it as a comfortable or memorable place to stay."

Separate WC and shower room. Though we drove, the roads are not too brightly lit at night and we ended up using the free shuttle provided to and fro the city centre. Beautiful rooms, comfortable stay."

"I stayed in this hotel for the 2nd time for business and leisure. 5 days and 4 nights stay experiences the same breakfast. As we were a group of 4 in a family room, ask for an hour extend till 12:00 pm for check out, the unfriendly receptionist replied we would be charged NT400 per hour. I was really annoyed on this matter."

"A family oriented hotel so solo travelers might felt a bit ignored. Adding a coffee machine at the lobby would be very helpful.
They follow Japanese check in check out hours and also quite strict about it⌠I think thatâs the biggest downside of the hotel. You will have to wait exactly after 3pm for the room and out in 11 even they are not full.
Otherwise the room and location is good, would recommend."

GGuest UserThe hostel is super aesthetic and clean. The bed and private space is comfortable too! The curtain is thick enough and is able to cover most of the lights. The washroom and common areas are clean and dry although it is shared among travellers. Staffs are friendly as well (They helped me to order Uber when I was not able to. Really grateful!) Would definitely stay here again!

GGuest UserGreat location and interesting old house. It was as shown in the pictures. The host is very friendly and recommended a few places to go and explained the house. He could have given more detailed instructions on the car park, which is closeby but you need to park in the area 62 to be closeby to the house. Itâs a long car park so itâs seems far from where you go in but itâll work out! The car park right next to the house is very expensive.
The house faces towards the car park and the street to the motorcycles are a bit noisy.
Water and cups are provided by the hotel.
Trip.com didnât tell the owner my email or phone number so he couldnât contact me and there was no one for checkin. We called him and he came quickly, just would be nicer for everyone if he had those details. Otherwise I recommend proactively contacting him.

AAmos Tan Kien OnnIf I could have given 0 I would for service. The hotel to be fair was super convenient. Thatâs about it. The service rendered by the hotel was sub par. I ordered a birthday cake from the lobby bakery and asked to be delivered to my room at 7pm for a surprise. Am I was surprised indeed. When i reached my hotel room at 7.30pm and there was no cake to be found. I went to the bakery, they donât know what happened to my cake and it was nowhere to be found. And no service recovery was given. No apologies. Horrible service from a 5 star hotel. The checkout staff also did not ask about my stay. Horrible service. I would never stay there again.

SSummertoesWe did not drive and took public bus up Guanziling. Alighted at the last stop then were prepared to walk uphill towards the hotel. However the walk was more challenging than expected. To reach the hotel faster, we climbed up Haohanpo which has close to 300 steps with our heavy luggage, and it was raining then. You can imagine our ordeal. After Haohanpo, it will take another 15 mins uphill to arrive at the hotel. Fortunately the spa at the hotel was wonderful and soothed all the aches we got. The lesson learnt is to avoid public transportation or opt for a nearer spa hotel to the bus stop.

AAnonymous UserIt is about a 7-minute walk from Tainan Railway Station. Although Tainan has a lot of undulating terrain, if you consider this as a city feature, it actually doesn't feel inconvenient.
The location of this hotel is very good. It is within a 10 to 20-minute walk from the main tourist attractions, making it very convenient for itinerary arrangements.
Please note that there are limited hours when the counter is manned. Please be especially careful if you arrive outside of service hours as the main door is automatically locked and check-in may be inconvenient.
The room itself is very clean. Although it doesn't have many facilities, it has basically everything you need.
The only downside was the bathroom didn't drain very well. The shower curtain was too short, so the floor next to the toilet got wet when I showered. And if you lay out the bathroom mat in advance, it will easily get wet before you use it. I hope that some improvements can be made in the ground slope design in the future.

Thereâs just a weird smell in the bathroom. The hotel facade is darted look a bit dodgy but overall good price and pleasant stay!

MMichelle ElziraWe cannot stop our praises for this hotel! We intended to just stay the night and explore a little of Tainan before heading to Kaoshiung. The friendly staff engaged us in conversation and shared so passionately about Tainan that we decided to stay an extra day/night in Tainan. They even planned our itinerary for us. We are thankful for the value-added service of helping us warm up our food (we bought food as our stomachs had limited capacity) in the mornings/nights. We got the double room with no window but hardly felt suffocated as the room was spacious, spotless and sooo comfortable. The carpark was a short 3min walk away. We enjoyed the facilities, but what caught our hearts was the heartwarming service from the staff. We do not have the habit of asking to take a photo with hotel staff, but for this hotel, we asked to as we wanted to remember the wonderful experience we had here.
