"This property is very well maintained and rooms are clean, and very well-appointed with the needed comforts. We truly applaud the attention-to-detail and effort that the husband-and-wife owners have put into this bed-and-breakfast property. We arrived as it started to get colder and truly appreciated the warm heating in the rooms. Fantastic warm showers. An amazing bonus amenity was the electric toilets! We are also thankful to the lady boss for highlighting the first Huangshan Peak snow-fall on our last day of stay! Upon her encouragement we decided an impromptu climb up Huangshan a second time. We were glad we did! The snow scenery at Huangshan peak was AMAZING. THANK YOU!"

"I have stayed in this inn three or four times. I chose it without hesitation this time. The environment is very good and the location is also very good. It is very convenient to walk around the old street. It is also very quiet. I brought my children here this time and they were able to rest well at night. Because there are only me and my child, I booked the smallest room. The waterproofing of the bathroom is not good. The toilet and shower are together. It is not convenient to take a shower. The toilet bowl gets wet when taking a shower. Also, the latest check-out time for booking on Ctrip is 2 o'clock. "Super location and very nice staff. We ordered an airport pickup to the hotel with the trip app and our driver contacted the hotel to let them know when we arrived so that a staff member could pick us up by the road. Super cozy streets around the hotel.
My room was very spacious and clean.
The breakfast was very good, noodles and dumplings. On our second day we asked the staff to recommend a driver to take us to different hot spots and we got a very nice driver at an affordable price. Will definitely stay here again."

More traditional-style options are available, many of which offer exceptional mountain views. All guestrooms feature high-speed broadband Internet access, satellite TVs, mini-bars and in-room safes.Dining options on Huang Shan are limited to hotels and snack stalls with the Baiyuan Hotel's restaurant offering a range of Chinese and Western options. Other facilities include a small shop and a business center for those all-important emails, but really Huang Shan is all about the magnificent scenery and a mountain-top stay is the perfect way to enjoy it to the max.

Dinner and breakfast buffet was also included in my stay, which offered a good selection of food.
The hotel interestingly offers a ”butler service” to guests, where they assign a staff to address questions/needs you have. The person assigned to me 星华 offered great service, checking in on my stay and providing some snacks for the road on the last night.

"I like the room very much, it's a twin room with a lot of space. Because I couldn't confirm the exact arrival time at Huangshan North, I contacted the manager Huahua just before I got on the bus, and he immediately arranged a driver to pick me up at the station. The driver in the fleet was also very nice, he dropped me off near the hotel for free, and helped me contact the uncle in black clothes in the store, who kept helping to carry the suitcases. I walked slowly with my mother. When leaving the next day, Huahua helped carry the suitcase again, feeling very embarrassed. We took another driver's car in the fleet to the hotel in Tangkou Town. The scenery along the way was really beautiful. A stay experience beyond imagination."

"Thinking of finding a quiet place to rest for two days after climbing Huangshan Mountain, I looked at the location and chose this B&B. I like the scenery of the hotel very much. It is located in the valley. The room has a large balcony and a view. Every day, I listen to the bamboo forest and the gurgling stream. It is really relaxing. The hotel's dried bamboo shoots noodles are delicious, and the fruits are also very sweet. My wife loves to eat that Babagan. Because the hotel is temporarily out of stock, the boss went home to find it and sent it over. The hot spring has a very good viewing angle. You can overlook the main peaks of Huangshan Mountain and watch the clouds roll and unfold. The Jiulong Waterfall Emerald Valley around the hotel is also a good place to go. The boss is very enthusiastic and arranges pick-up at any time, which makes travel much more convenient. The hotel housekeeper is also very good. You can ask for anything at any time. My wife is very satisfied with this accommodation arrangement. We are already thinking about the arrangement for the next visit. It is highly recommended."

"I have only good things to say about my one night stay. I had an excellent time at this bed and breakfast as a solo tourist visiting the Huangshan mountain. I consider myself an experienced world traveler and can confidently say the owner of this BnB is among the kindest and most patient people you could find in the hospitality and tourism industry. Although she doesn’t speak much English, she will find any way possible to help you and make sure you have a comfortable stay. My room was a smoking room but the owner opened the windows (this was in mid April so the temperature was quite mild) so the smell did not bother me that much. There is a very nice shower in the room with good water pressure. The bed and mattress are great. The owner kept my bags in her storage for one night after I checked out so I could go up to Huangshan mountain (I spent one night up in the mountain and then returned to her BnB to pickup my bags an leave town). The owner also is a great cook! And if you are a tea lover, make sure you try/buy her tea (she has a tea farm and picks the tea leaves herself) as this region is famous for its green tea. I would love to come back one day, hopefully with my family or friends."

"I had a wonderful stay at this hotel during my trip to Huangshan and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. The rooms were spacious, spotless, and incredibly cosy—equipped with everything I needed, from toiletries to bottled water. One of the highlights was the convenient and affordable transportation the hotel arranged to and from Huangshan North Railway Station. At just 35 RMB during the day and 40 RMB at night per person, it was significantly cheaper than ride-hailing options, which cost about 130 RMB at night. The service was amazing as the staff were warm, helpful, and welcoming from the moment I arrived. During check-in, the receptionist patiently explained the best route to take on the mountain and even shared helpful recommendations. I also appreciated the little touches, like being able to borrow walking sticks for free, which saved me from having to buy one. The location is excellent too—just a 10-minute walk to the Huangshan South Gate Entrance bus station, with a view of Huangshan right from the hotel. There is also a massage place and supermarket just a minute away, and the hotel has a restaurant which serves truly delicious food. Overall, this hotel made my Huangshan trip so much more comfortable and enjoyable."

GGuest UserShuishongshi Shanfang Hotel is a unique hotel with a strong artistic flair. Our room offered stunning mountain views the moment we opened the door, and at night, we could hear the gentle murmur of the stream. The young lady at the front desk who assisted us was incredibly kind and helpful; she planned a perfect hiking route tailored to our fitness level, which really compensated for the hotel not being situated at the very peak. As we set off for our hike, she even thoughtfully provided us with hiking poles. The driver who handled our transfers was also superb, ensuring seamless connections from the hotel to the trailhead. On our second day, when they helped us transport our luggage out of the mountain area, the hotel thoughtfully prepared bottled water and a lovely farewell gift.

AAisha_066It was wonderful experience to stay at this hotel, specially because of hotel owner 徐勇亮. We were greeted with extraordinary hospitality and friendliness. I was with a large group of friends, only two of whom could speak Chinese, but that didn't bother me as the owner knew English too. We will miss this trip very much and remember it with warm feelings. I hope I will come here again!

GGuest UserHongcun Yushan mountain scenery house is convenienly located near the South Gate of Hongcun Scenic area. We booked courtyard B which is located outside and behind the main hotel complex with breakfast included. The room was spacious, tastefully decorated, clean and comfortable, and had a small courtyard, but unfortunately no garden chairs or table to sit outside. In hindsight we woud book another room in the main complex next time. It has a lovely open garden and plenty of outdoor seating. I contacted the hotel before our stay and managed by using a voice translator to connect with the staff on Wechat. A friendly staff member met us at the entrance to the scenic area and entry is free of charge when you stay at the hotel. The hotel staff don't speak any English, but they were very helpful and friendly and we got along fine using Wechat and other translators. I won't recommend eating dinner at the hotel as there are many local Chinese restaurants in the ancient village. The hotel offers a coffee shop in the lobby and has a number of options, like Americano, Latte etc. The coffee is very good, but I felt it was a bit pricey for the cup size. The hotel breakfast is Chinese with no Western options, and it is served in unique way in a tray. I enjoyed the breakfast, but my husband would have liked more western options. On our arrival the room was already pre-heated and the beds in the room were comfortable. It was snowing lightly when we arrived and there were umbrellas available in the room. They also provide vanity items. We visited just before the Chinese New Year tourist rush at the beginning of the holiday and this was a very good location and time to visit despite the cold weather. The ancient village was not too crowded and it was nice to walk around in the evenings and daytime with the hotel is situated conveniently right next to the South lake. Drone flying is allowed which can give drone flyers an aerial view of the village. Depending on your iterinary a one night stay is sufficient to visit Hongcun and the nearby Xidi ancient village then move on to another hotel at the foot or top of the mountain or Tunxi village. We enjoyed our stay and can recommend this hotel to travelers wanting a good hotel experience in Hongcun.

RRyan MichaelI had a good stay here. The room was large and had a nice sunroom attached, the cafe in the lobby was also pleasant. It’s a very short walk to the mountain entrance and the host was very helpful with giving advice for hiking routes, buying tickets, and recommending restaurants. He also speaks fluent English, which is nice for international travelers.

GGuest UserMy family and I (5 of us) recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming homestay in Hongcun for two days and one night, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The building, steeped in history at 400 years old, is located relatively close to the West entrance, making access a breeze. The rooms were beautifully decorated, clean, and well-kept. Although I initially booked three specific rooms, they were unavailable due to renovation. However, I was provided with three other rooms that turned out to be more spacious, which was a delightful surprise.
The lobby felt incredibly welcoming, with a cozy living-room-style atmosphere. There’s a lovely café to the left and a souvenir shop to the right, adding a nice touch of convenience and charm as you walk toward the living area. Wan Jie (elder sister Wan), the host, was truly hospitable and attentive. Her warmth shone through from our first phone call, which she answered cheerfully while helping arrange our pickup, as cars aren’t allowed into Hongcun, a UNESCO Heritage Site.
One of the highlights of this homestay was the restaurant nestled in a ”secret” garden—a serene and picturesque spot where my family and I could have happily spent more time. The food was delicious and reasonably priced, adding to the overall experience. Though it was too cool to use during my visit, the homestay also features a pool that would be perfect for summer days.
At the end of our stay, Wan Jie went above and beyond by accompanying us to the village exit to wait for our driver, ensuring everything went smoothly before saying her goodbyes. It’s rare to experience such personalized hospitality, and it made a memorable impression on us.
Based on my positive experience, I would highly recommend this homestay to anyone visiting Hongcun. It’s a unique blend of history, comfort, and genuine hospitality that truly enhances the visit.

LLydiascapesMy stay in Tingquan Xiaoyuan has been absolutely delightful.
I booked a long stay here as a retreat and break from the work and it is exactly everything I need to unwind and recharge.
The guesthouse ran by a husband and wife team are so hospitable and go the extra mile to make sure my stay here is relaxing and I have everything I need to work and go about my day.
The room i am staying in is very brightly lighted with a desk for me to work. I have to say the bed is also very comfortable and I have been sleeping well every night.
The surrounding is so peaceful and tranquil, with gardens and flowers and mountain peaks in the distance. I am rather glad I am staying here in the valley instead of near the centre.
In terms of service, the boss is very helpful and responsive to my messages when we need to ask any question or require a pick up after the hikes. The lady boss is similarly extremely friendly, warm and kind and ensure my needs and well being is looked after every day. She cared for me like her own family.
I really appreciate them going the extra mile to help a foreigner like me who struggle with the language.
I would strongly recommend this lovely and cosy guesthouse to any local and foreigner who is looking for an amazing visit to Huangshan for a few days or up to a month. They will ensure you are well taken care of and your stay is absolutely delightful.

GGuest UserComfortable base for a sunrise run-and-gun. Staff added me to a handy WeChat feed that pushed real-time sunrise/sunset tips; thanks to that, Danxia Peak (20-min walk) delivered a great dawn view. Room was modern, warm, and clean; Wi-Fi and hot shower both fine.
Food is flavourful and enjoyable but very “mountain canteen” and strictly Chinese—don’t expect pastries or espresso. Prices are high, as everywhere on Huangshan, but service is friendly and the views were great!
Overall: solid choice if you want easy access to the peaks with hotel-level comfort. I’d stay again.

GGuest UserUnfortunately, I didn't take any photos of the hotel! It's perfectly situated at the foot of Mount Huangshan. The hotel offers a convenient shuttle service to the transfer center, which is less than a 5-minute drive away. From there, you can easily catch buses to both the Yuping and Yungu cable car stations. On your way back, the return bus drops you off directly at Tangkou Ridge, right opposite the hotel's main entrance.
The hotel rooms are very comfortable. In the lobby, dedicated travel specialists are on hand to help plan your itinerary and even assist guests unfamiliar with online booking to purchase tickets. The staff were all incredibly warm and helpful, and the complimentary sour plum drink in the lobby was a delightful touch.

CCinichengyibeizhanyong，qinglingxuanThe stay was great. The rafting scenic area was across the street, but it was closed because the season was over. The owner upgraded me to a moon-viewing room for free. The scenery was really great. I had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant. I was very satisfied with the dinner order. Every dish was delicious. Eight dishes + a few bottles of beer and drinks cost about 60 to 70 yuan per person. I recommend everyone to come. Attached is a picture of the scenery seen from the floor-to-ceiling window in the morning.
