"The hotel's location next to Wanda Plaza is really convenient. It's about a twenty-minute walk to Baota Mountain and not far from Qingliang Mountain. You can take a taxi to the top of Qingliang Mountain for panoramic city views. Plus, the nearby bus stops make it easy to get to Zaoyuan, the museum, and the Yangjialing Revolutionary Site. The hotel service is good, and the front desk staff are very friendly and responsive to any issues. For late check-out, they charge a fee based on the room type: 20 for a double room and 30 for a triple. It's a nice option to extend your stay and rest a bit, especially if you have a later departure."

"The hotel is huge, and its facilities are excellent; it's probably one of the best in the area in terms of hardware. The cave room is very unique, but the lighting is so dim it really feels like a cave. If the hardware is five-star, then the service is three-star. The service was absolutely terrible, and the hotel's management level was a disaster. We stayed for two days and encountered so many problems that we decisively checked out and moved to another hotel, even though we had originally planned to extend our stay. 1. Because we were watching the 'Return to Yan'an' performance at 7 PM, the front desk, based on the time, booked an 'Embittered Memories' dinner for 5 PM the day before. Later, I called the front desk again to change it to 5:30 PM. When we arrived at the restaurant punctually, the restaurant's front desk couldn't even find our reservation, and the restaurant was completely unprepared. The restaurant staff quickly informed the hotel front desk that due to lack of preparation, all internal hotel guests with reservations were pushed back until after 8 PM. 2. There was a lack of communication or timely information exchange between the restaurant, front desk, and concierge. Given such a major blunder with the dining reservation, I immediately went to the front desk to inquire about the performance reservation I had made the day before for today. From what I overheard from the staff's phone conversation, it seemed they still hadn't made the reservation and were urgently trying to sort it out. 3. The restaurant manager said that because they weren't prepared, they would arrange for the food to be delivered to our room after 8:30 PM. After we returned from the performance, it still hadn't arrived. When I called to inquire, I was told that the reservation hadn't been made again. They then rushed to make it, and it was delivered to our room after 9 PM. 4. Breakfast was an even bigger disaster. The restaurant was quite small, with no usher, and no designated queuing area. The front desk just let people in without any guidance. Everyone had to wait behind guests who hadn't finished eating yet to grab a seat. In the end, we (a family of three) had no choice but to split up and find separate spots to share tables. 5. Not to mention the insufficient supply of coffee, milk, and beverages, the plates were also cleared very slowly. Everyone was doing half a task and then moving on to another. Despite a decent number of staff and not too many tables, it was still chaotic, which again proved the extremely poor training and management. 6. While eating, we saw more and more guests coming down. The front desk informed them there were no seats and to come back in half an hour. A large group of guests left unhappily. However, later guests were seated right away when seats became available. I can only imagine the anger of the large group of guests who waited half an hour only to have to continue waiting. 7. When checking in, we registered our child's information, but the front desk didn't even think to prepare children's toiletries and slippers. When I called the front desk from the room, the robot answered and recorded the request for children's supplies and an extra duvet. Half an hour later, there was still no movement. It was only when I switched to a human operator to complain that they urgently delivered them."

"The hotel boasts an excellent location, not too far from Zaoyuan, Wangjiaping, and Baotashan. Just a few steps downstairs are the former site of Wangjiaping and the east gate of the Yan'an Revolution Memorial Hall. The hotel is relatively new, clean, and hygienic, with very comfortable bedding and pillows, and a pleasant smart toilet. The service is exceptionally thoughtful. We arrived before check-in time, and the staff asked the cleaning auntie to prepare our room quickly so we could check in right away. They also offer shuttle services. The jujubes at the front desk were extra sweet, and we even received thoughtful little gifts – truly commendable! It was very quiet outside our window at night, though there was a bit of noise from the hallway inside the hotel. Regarding the Yan'an High-Speed Rail Station shuttle service: When we arrived, they couldn't arrange a car, so they reimbursed our taxi fare. When we were leaving, I wanted to have a meal across from the station and didn't head straight to the waiting room. The driver, a kind young woman, anxiously honked her horn and then called to check on us. Her concern was very heartwarming."

"I picked this hotel as a jump-off point to visit Guanquan Canyon and Jingbian Wave Valley. It's located in Baota district of Yan'an. The location is great as it's only five minutes walk from the Yan'an High Speed Railway Station. Even if you have big luggage like mine, it's still manageable walk to the hotel. The hotel reception was wonderful. One of the girls, unfortunately I didn't take her name, was extremely helpful and tried hard to retrieve the packages I ordered to the hotel from several storage locations for me. It shows that she was dedicated to her job to assist guests without complaints. Breakfast is available and included in my reservation. It's standard Chinese breakfast. They even provided warm orange juice which I surprisingly like. The hotel has a self-service laundry room with free detergent. This is a great plus for me. The only complain I may have is, although this is not a unique situation in China, the stinkiness of cigarette smoking in the room and corridor. Thankfully it's March when I visited as I had to close window as cigarette smell came through the window. This is very unfortunate indeed."

"The location is super convenient, right next to Erdao Street Night Market. You can see the pagoda mountain night view in about a 5-minute walk. The room is very clean and spacious, and the price offers excellent value for money. I'll definitely stay here again if I get the chance."

"Driving all the way from Jiangnan to Northern Shaanxi, I was truly struck by the extreme geographical differences. The cave hotel was definitely the highlight of our trip to Yan'an. It was uniquely charming and spotless, with excellent facilities and wonderfully attentive service. They even upgraded our room based on our specific needs, which was a fantastic bonus. Definitely a five-star experience!"

"Yunqi Heguang Hotel to visit Yan'an This stay was very good, 1: Hygiene first, cleaned very carefully, clean everywhere. 2: The location is really amazing, next to Yangjialing, opposite the Yanda campus. There are many people downstairs, but fortunately, the sound insulation is well done, and the sleep is very stable. 3:Service: The front desk lady is very enthusiastic, the check-in is very smooth, the facilities are also easy to use, come to Yan'an to travel here to travel, recommend to friends who want to come! 4: Convenient transportation, you can take a taxi and the bus station is also very close."

"Very convenient location, 5 minutes walks from Yan An Railway station. Though is not in the main CBD, can catch many buses to go downtown. We had booked a non smoking room, but was given a smoking room instead, when we asked for the change, hotel staff sent housekeeping to take away ash tray and spray the room with air freshener which didn’t work and said that it was beyond their control if others to smoke inside the room. After some insistence then only the staff acceded to our request. The recovery service was then followed with daily provision of fresh salads and breakfast voucher which we were much appreciated for these token."

"The hotel's location is excellent; you can walk to Qingliang Mountain and Baota Mountain. However, because of its prime location, traffic congestion in front of the hotel is severe. If you're taking a taxi, I recommend walking a bit further down the road to catch one. For those driving, like us, you'll need some patience. They have their own parking lot, but the parking spaces are marked a bit strangely, so if you come back late, it'll test your driving skills. The room isn't huge, but it's very comfortable, with a great wet/dry separation in the bathroom and excellent water pressure for showers. Staying here in Yan'an is truly convenient."
