"First off, I need to say that I stayed for quite a while, and I really regret it. I should have booked for just one day and then extended my stay as needed. This hotel has a strict no early checkout policy; if you leave early, they still charge you for the full booked duration. Why do I regret it? Here are a few points I wasn't happy with: (1) The room was too small. I booked a 'Super King Room,' which implies it's suitable for two people, but upon checking in, I realized it simply had a super king-sized bed, not a large room. On the contrary, the room was tiny; it would be okay for one person at best. The width of the room was equivalent to the length of a single mattress, and its length was about 3.2 to 3.3 times the width of a mattress (around 1.8m each, I'd guess). (2) The hotel only offers this one room type, so there's no option to upgrade. (3) The air quality in the room was poor. Because the room was small and had no windows, it relied entirely on the air conditioning for ventilation. After leaving in the morning and returning at night, there was still that old-fashioned train smell. This is why we left early in the morning and came back late at night – we simply didn't want to spend time in the room. Just to clarify, pictures 2 and 3 show the actual situation with the bathroom door open. So, if you're someone who's out all day and only comes back to sleep, if you're traveling solo, and if it's for a short stay of just a day or two, then this hotel might be acceptable."

We are Hotel Hive, a micro-hotel known for smaller rooms and bigger — more buzzworthy — experiences. Set in a historic building, our vibrant space is steeped in character. We’re building a community one guest at a time and are thrilled to welcome you into our world.

"This was my first trip to Washington, DC, and I booked this hotel in advance because the location looked great and I was able to get a really good discounted price. Although the room was listed as having a queen bed, it honestly felt more like a double or full-size bed. I was also disappointed that the room didn’t have a microwave or refrigerator. However, the biggest issue was how dusty the room was. I think it was the first time in my life that I sneezed more than 50 times in a single day. It bothered me throughout the entire trip, and constantly dealing with a runny nose made me even more tired. I eventually had to go to CVS and buy allergy medicine. I chose this hotel mainly because of the price, but if I visit DC again, I would probably pay a little more and stay somewhere else. Most places are still easily connected by metro through Google Maps anyway, so getting around the city and visiting tourist attractions isn’t difficult at all. That said, the front desk staff were friendly, and the location was convenient, so I would still recommend it for solo travelers. However, if you’re traveling with two or more people, I would suggest booking a better room than the one I stayed in, even if it costs more."

"The hotel is quite new and features smart controls throughout, operated by an iPad, which is perfect for solo travelers. It's less than a ten-minute walk to both the Aerospace Museum and the National Gallery, and the subway station isn't far either. On my last day, I used their luggage storage service, which was really convenient. The only thing I found a bit unusual was that they don't provide bottled water; you have to go down to the bar on the first floor to get water yourself."

"We stayed there for 3 nights with 2 children. Location is very convenient with metro center station close by and the national mall within 15 min walking distance. The service was a hit and miss depending on staff. Front desk service, Elvis, was genuinely helpful and did amazing customer recovery by giving us an extended check out time. Amenities in the room are basics I had to request for cleaning of the sofa that smelled really foul and also had to request for towels as we were only given one for the three of us. The hotel also had daily reception from 5-6:30pm with 2 free drinks as well as snack and bites. O"

"The location is decent, not far from the Chinese Embassy. There's a subway station less than 300 meters from the hotel. There's also a large supermarket nearby where you can buy fresh produce and food. The room size is moderate, but the bathroom is very small and old. The toiletries provided are not of good quality. Mixed feelings. The hotel is well located, with Washington Union Station nearby. The rooms are average; they’re clean, but a bit outdated and musty. The reception staff looked tired and unbothered. The hotel seems to operate only under daily timings; I was not able to get cleaning later on the day. The safe was not working and I had to wait until the next day for someone to come check it, same case for broken light in the bathroom. The fitness is well equipped. The hotel was not able to accommodate my request to cancel the last night, even though I was moving to another Hilton. Not necessarily the kind of service you’d expect from them. Amenities were available upon request, there’s a mini fridge in the room. There was no kettle available. Overall, for the price, you can get better in Washington DC.

I arrived early to check in, and the front desk informed me that early check-in would incur a fee; complimentary check-in starts after 2 PM. Luggage storage costs $1 per suitcase. Many people mentioned the $25 daily credit, which can be used at Starbucks for breakfast. If you charge it to your room, the deduction will appear as a separate line item. Alternatively, you can pay on the spot, only paying Starbucks for the amount exceeding $25, and the hotel bill will still show the $25 credit, so there's no issue with double charging. The area around the hotel is under construction, and it's a bit of a walk to the subway station, but still manageable. Most of the time, you'll need to transfer subway lines to reach attractions, which is still quite convenient, and the price is relatively affordable.

The room didn't have a bathtub. The room was big and seemed clean. I wish they'd give us more stuff. There wasn't even a bottle of water (wonder if that's how it is everywhere in the US?) The lights were kinda dim at night, and it could use some more. The breakfast was yummy! I love that there were convenient stores like Walgreens and CVS very close by, and they're open until 11 pm.

My wife, our 5-year-old son, and I recently spent 3 lovely nights at Canopy by Hilton Washington DC Embassy Row during our family trip to the nation’s capital, and it turned out to be the ideal choice for our little family of three. Located in the charming Embassy Row neighborhood, the hotel’s location is truly unbeatable—just a 10-minute walk to Farragut North Metro Station, allowing us to easily reach iconic spots like the National Mall, Smithsonian Museums, and the White House, which were perfect for our curious 5-year-old. We booked a deluxe room with two queen beds, which was spacious and comfortable for the three of us. The room was impeccably clean, with bright, modern decor and soft lighting that made it feel warm and welcoming after long days of sightseeing. The plush beds ensured we all slept well, and the blackout curtains were a lifesaver for our son, who tends to wake up early with sunlight. There were plenty of USB charging ports and free Wi-Fi, which kept our son entertained with his tablet during downtime, and the room had enough space for him to play a little without feeling cramped. What impressed us most was how family-friendly the hotel was, especially for a young child. The staff was incredibly warm and patient; they greeted our son by name after the first day and even gave him a small toy as a welcome gift, which made him feel so special. There were also convenient coffee stations in the lobby, perfect for a quick pick-me-up before we headed out to explore the city with our little one. The complimentary Canopy bikes were a fun activity for our family—our son loved riding in the child seat while my wife and I cycled around the quiet, tree-lined streets of Embassy Row. The concierge was also very helpful, recommending family-friendly restaurants nearby and helping us plan our itinerary to avoid crowds at the museums, which made our trip much smoother. Overall, our stay was wonderful. The hotel’s prime location, comfortable accommodations, and thoughtful, family-focused service made our DC trip unforgettable. We highly recommend Canopy by Hilton Embassy Row to any family traveling with a young child—we couldn’t have asked for a better home base. We will definitely return on our next family trip to Washington DC.

Our recent stay at the Residence Inn Washington, DC National Mall was fantastic for our group of 6! The One Bedroom Two Queen Suite with Sofa Bed provided plenty of space for everyone to stay comfortably. The suite was perfectly sized with two queen beds in the separate bedroom and a queen-sized sofa bed in the living area. Location: 5/5 - Prime spot near the National Mall Cleanliness: 5/5 - Everything was spotless and well-maintained Service: 5/5 - Staff was accommodating Facilities: 5/5 - All amenities exceeded expectations The suite proved to be an ideal choice for our group of 6. The queen-sized beds, including the sofa bed, provided comfortable sleeping arrangements for everyone. The living area offered enough space for us to gather and socialize, making it a perfect base for our DC adventure. For anyone traveling with a group of 6, I can confidently say this suite configuration works great, offering both comfort and convenience in an excellent location.

The hotel is in a great location and the room is very cozy. It is right outside the subway station, and you can walk to the Washington Monument and the White House in two steps. There is a McDonald's across the street, so you don't have to worry about food. But there are some big problems, that is, it is very close to the building next door, so there is no light, the room is very damp, and the street is not soundproof and noisy. B1's ice machine can produce drinking water, which is good

I did not have the pleasure of using the facilities however, I must commend the staff for always being helpful and friendly throughout my stay. I would recommend that the staff be advised on a contingency plan or when there are power cuts in the area to mitigate any discomfort and inconvenience experienced by guests. Unfortunately during my stay at the hotel, the power went out from 4am till the time I checked out at 2pm. It would have been a nice gesture to offer bottled water, discounted rates, coupons or some type of assistance to the guests who were at the hotel to ameliorate the unpleasant situation of being without power for such a long time. Other than that, I think the hotel is in a good location and is easily accessible depending on your needs in DC.

The TV had no signal, and after trying various methods, I gave up. The room door needed to be closed gently to avoid making a loud noise. The toilet flushing was mediocre, and the amenities seemed cheaply made. Most importantly, the room was filled with a pungent, overpowering smell of newly renovated furniture; it was very irritating and made my throat very sore. I suggest the hotel remove the smell (I'm not sure if it's formaldehyde). This is the first time I've experienced such a throat irritation in a new hotel.

My experience was probably thrown off by the fact that the pull out bed was rough. Like sleeping with a bar in your back rough. The two beds in the bedroom were great, so it fit a family of 5 at a very reasonable price. The kitchen was not the best quality but it WAS a kitchen, so I was grateful for the ability to store food in a fridge and cook up a meal or two. The location was perfect, across from Trader Joe's, 5 minutes from the Metro stop, easy to get anywhere in the city.
