The apartment room does look like an apartment room but the access from the main lobby was very bad

As I see the are very good and the nice places I wish I would come back again because the place I like it how people are treating me and others and they are so nice as I see i would like to be the members of that place I know how to welcome people in a good

On the whole very pleasant. Polite and helpful staff. Except that the girl at reception always tries to give us a room that is cheaper than the one we have booked and paid for. This has happened twice in a row.
On thé plus side the manager has contacted us when we had left a bag by mistake and we got it back.

Initially I booked an apartment-it is not clear from the site that you have to walk across a muddy car park to get there. The apartments are really poor quality. So I upgrade my 2 day stay to a room, which was nicer but still not in the main hotel. I paid USD 15 for this but when I came to check out I had to pay another USD 15. There was no hot water in the room and the shower attachment leaked terribly. I was offered a room change because of the water but a friend who was staying there said he too had no hot water so there seemed little point. The reception staff are uninterested generally. The breakfast is poor.

It was ok... bed not comfy as expected hotwater was scarce and no water to wash on the commode

Speke hotel location is good but, this is an old hotel required renovations, building is very old, breakfast is reasonable with fruits, sausages, eggs of your choice, juices, coffee and tea. Indoor food is not good. They have open air sitting arrangements for lunch and dinner. Room service is average, no toiletries given in the wash room, always ask to provide soap and shampoo.

I would like to give average for the quality of bedsheet quality and towel. but i changed my mind for the staff professional service, shower quality and location. Breakfast amazing and room quality could be better with clean floors. Overall Good experience.

They charged more than agreed as we paid in Ugandan Schillings and they made the change rate from Dollars 200 UGX more per Dollar. They said it is "their change rate" as if the Currency exchange rate is something to be chosen. The apartment was clean but quite low level and you have to cross a washing bay that does not belong to the hotel to reach it. No too glamorous and noisy. The breakfast poor.

We came with high hopes after looking at photos. But it was a nightmare from the start. We had booked our room 2 months ahead. At the reception desk we were told no room had been booked, after lot of talks to different people came to know the manager had paperwork but forgot log into the system. We allocated our rooms to find out sink water would not drain, no flow in the shower, cold water in the shower in second room. Dead insects in the bed. Smell in the room was horrible. Over all it’s a rundown hotel, poorly maintained. I was totally disappointed with the place.

A good central location, apartments/suites are subject to external noises (2 night of loud music!) but otherwise well appointed. Staff are great, meals were lovely.

Great place for the price , the staff was amazing. In one of the best parts of town as far as location . I would recommend this hotel if you come to Kampala.

I booked a standard apartment for 4 nights, which was bigger than expected but pleasant. It is not in the hotel, but out the bar area and across a parking bay. Not a problem for me, and the autonomy of an apartment makes it worthwhile. The staff was friendly and helpful, the Indian food in the Khyber Pass was probably the best I've had. The kitchen in the apartment was stocked with plates and cookware, stove and fridge worked as well. I would definitely stay at the Speke again and I highly recommend it.
