Lakeside Village was conveniently located near a couple of restaurants and Mountain Base. Nowhere Pizza is the best! We ate there twice during our stay. I recommend figuring out the bus routes prior to arriving. Also, parking at River Run is free while Mountain base is not. Found out the hard way when we got a $25 ticket. Rooms were clean and had a mini-fridge, microwave, and coffee pot. I did not realize when I booked that our room had Murphy Bed's, but it was not a big deal. It was nice to access to the pool, hot tub and sauna at Keystone Resort and Spa, which was only a couple of hundred feet away. I thought it was the perfect place for new skiers and families. My 9 year, after 1 day of ski school, was able to ski from the peak on Schoolmarm, which is 3.5 miles long. She had no issues. Very family-friendly. Tubing is a must-do. At most, there was a 2-3 minute wait to get on the lifts. We rented equipment from Mountain View Sports in Keystone. They were a bit cheaper than renting from the resort. They were very friendly and accomodating. I would recommend eating at Nowhere Pizza and Dillon Dam Brewery. They both had great food and family friendly.
