My wife and I stayed here for a week between 7th July and 14tj July 2023. We had deliberated over several self-catering facilities and went with Fili mainly because it was slightly less expensive than a few others, and because the room had its own hob and fridge. Our greeting upon arrival there was underwhelming as we were asked for vouchers (possibly a printout but we were not aware that we had needed to do this) but this was smoothed over by supplying our names. The owner's son then escorted us to our room but was very brusque, did not tell or show us how anything worked, switched on the fridge then just left, leaving the door open and with a half-hearted "Enjoy your holiday" which baffled us both. We then found out that the air conditioning was extra (we had not seen the asterisk and small print on the website which stated this) and paid the 5 Euros per day as the heat was profoundly humid and high even after sunset. The owner and his wife appeared to us quite financially-oriented and we're only really interested in the further dealings we had with them if we were paying extra for anything. The room otherwise was pleasant and large, generally clean, and the water pressure and temperatures for the showers are exceptional. The beds were comfortable and the grounds are pretty with three swimming pools, a bar, pool table, and a literal 5-minite walk to a nearby beach, and there are panoramic views of the sea and hills/mountains. There is a bus stop also literally 5 minutes away and the buses there will take you to Tigaki central in about 10 minutes or Kos City in around 30-40 minutes. The Taverna a few doors down called Ampeli is gorgeous and serve sensational food. We were somewhat disappointed with the sp****ly stocked kitchenette but we were able to make salads etc. Whilst this may appear generally critical it must be stated that we generally enjoyed our stay here but that to rate it as good rather than average does not provide adequately critical reasoning and a balanced view unfortunately. If we ever did go back to Kos we believe we would stay with the nearby Byron Apartments instead of one of the hotels in Tigaki.

What a place! I went for a week with my sister and Mum and we’ve already decided we are going back. The family who own it can’t do enough for you. So friendly and happy to help. Everywhere is spotless. The cleaners do a fantastic job! Perfect location for us. We especially loved how beautifully kept the gardens were. Plants and trees everywhere. We had breakfast every morning which we all very much enjoyed. The prices for food are very reasonable. Perfect hosts, perfect holiday!

If you’re looking for something reasonably priced but also very friendly and clean, close to the beach and quieter than the huge busy hotels, this is the one for you!! The staff and owners are really friendly and generous with the food. We had breakfast and dinner included and the food was absolutely delicious, especially the Greek dish STIFFADO! There is a quiet local beach down the road or you can catch a bus to a beach with sun beds and water sports only ten minutes away on the bus. Kos town is also lovely and filled with lovely lanes and shops, bars and restaurants. We came ,end of season, so sadly not many places to dance but there are if you come mid season though. I wanted a quieter holiday so end of season was perfect for me! There are lovely views of mountains from the hotel grounds and also on the beach. I would highly recommend this holiday if you’re looking for reasonably priced, clean, friendly and intimate. This is a little hidden gem of a hotel. ♥️🙏 Thanks to all the staff who made it a lovely stay ! Love Jessica and Tyler x

Staff are great and so is reception and pool area but thats as gar as it goes. Hotel Is located to far from town (45 min walk) but there is a bus every hour. We booked a one bed apartment for up to 4 people but as we were just two got an apartment for three which as we went with elderly mother and brother in law who had studios. We needed the up to four bit in our apartment so we could sit together for breakfast and some evening meals, but No utensils to cook. Rooms were old dated and in need of urgent refurbishment and not as described on jet2 website. Only plates for 3 people, no bowls, cutting knives and just one frying pan and one saucepan. Rusty hot plate, broken draw in fridge, kettle full of scale, No chopping boards either so having knives was pontless as nowhere to prep food. As we were unable to do breakfasts we had to pay 448 euros to have breakfast at hotel as to far to town each morning with an 85 year old ( perhaps a deliberate ploy). Towels were like cardboard and fobbed of with "its the water". Shower curtain full of body fat and cover on balcony drain missing which resulted in a broken plastic chair when the leg went in and i fell over Overall dissapointed wouldnt reccomend and wont go back. Why some people love this place i have no idea

We stayed at Fili (apartment A4) for 10 days in September. We had a fantastic time, & loved every minute of our holiday. We had a hire car for the whole of our stay & travelled all over the island. Also did a day trip (with Tigaki Tours) over to Kalymnos for the day, highly recommend you wear trainers rather than flip flops due to steepness of some areas. Enjoyed lots of evening meals out in Tigaki. Sunset from the beach (3minutes walk away) is stunning.

Booked as a last minute get away in July for 3 adults. Pleasantly surprised with the standard of accommodation. Extremely clean throughout the complex. Staff were fantastic, super helpful and welcoming. Menu is all freshly cooked and delicious, we only ate the Greek dishes and found that section of the menu to be quite limited but there were lots of other things available (pizza, pasta, burgers etc). Pool areas were really well cared for and clean. Sunbeds are provided and plenty for guests to use without an early morning scramble. Beach is only at the end of the lane and the island has very little tide movement so there is always somewhere to walk or sunbathe. We would definitely return.

We loved everything about our stay at the Fili Apartments. It is a friendly, family run apartment about a 40 minute walk from Tigaki town centre. The room was nice, had a balcony with a table and chairs and the beds were very comfortable. There were 2 pools and also a children's pool. The main pool had a slide which was really good fun (and big enough for adults to use too) There were plenty of sunbeds. The apartments had a very relaxed feel and there was no pressure at all to buy food or drinks at the restaurant which we have found at other places. We ate at the restaurant a few times. There was a good selection on the menu and the food was lovely. I would highly recommend the giros wraps which were very tasty. There is also a very authentic traditionalGreek restaurant called the Amepli which is 5 minutes walk away which we loved and we ate there a few times as well. They also have a children's playground there too. The nearest supermarket is about a 15 minute walk away. We walked into Tigaki town centre once and got the bus another couple of times. The staff organised a hire car for us as well for a couple of days which was good value and there was no excess on the policy (not that we needed it luckily)

These apartments are at the quiet end of Tingaki, in very close proximity to a lovely, quiet, tree lined beach. Fresh water shower on beach in front of the Byron apartments. The apartments themselves are basic but most importantly clean and with comfortable beds. The linens and towels were changed multiple times during the week and housekeeping came in daily to empty bins, toilet roll, sweep etc. The kitchenette limited so don’t expect to be cooking anything in it but there was a kettle and fridge and small duo hob. No grill or toaster. Air conditioning is an extra which I think was 5 euros per day. We didn’t have anybody in the room next door until the last day upon which we could hear conversation and music through the adjoining door and walls. Sure it’s okay and not too noisy as long as everyone respects their neighbours. The pool areas clean and no shortage of loungers/parasols. The gardens very beautiful and a lot of effort going into keeping them so. The snack bar has a small choice of food dishes. 30 mins walk into centre of Tingaki where there is plenty of choice for food and shops. Also plenty of choices along the way. Supermarket 10 mins walk on seafront and there’s also a fruit and veg stall on the road side 5 mins walk from the bus stop. Follow the sign! We did use the buses to go into Kos. They were reliable and cheap. There is a lovely vineyard and taverna accessible via the track behind the apartments that does lovely food and wine in a beautiful setting.
