This hotel has the potential to be amazing and regardless of a few issues we still had a brilliant holiday The hotel itself is beautiful, it doesn’t look much from the outside, however the rooms are set out in blocks surrounded by well cared for landscaping and little cobbled paths. The layout of everything is perfect, reception at the front, followed by each room block and pools & restaurants slotted in between. The whole hotel is very clean and tidy and the staff really do a good job in keeping the standards up. The location isn’t bad, a bit run down probably as result of covid, but there are some new buildings in the area being worked on, so hopefully things are picking back up for Marmari, there are a handful of restaurants and shops within walking distance, the beach is a few minutes walk and there is a bus stop outside the hotel. The buses are not frequent and only take you into Kos Town but it’s a short journey and it’s only 2.30 each way The pools are situated through the grounds, 1 by reception which is very quiet, perfect for older guests, the largest pool is in the centre alongside 2 slides and a “hot tub”, the final pool is in the last block of rooms by the beach, this is more for people who are there to get married, but you can still use it. The only negative thing about the pools is that they are literally ice cold (no exaggeration) the lifeguards are amazing, constantly on guard, friendly. The rooms are very modern, we had a 2 bedroom apar**ent situated on the ground floor, great for kids and the pram, however not so great when you wake up to a mass of ants everywhere. We needed to contact reception on 3 occasions due to the ants, I suppose not the hotels fault, however on the 3rd occasion it took them a bit more persuading to get the cleaners to come in and spray to deter them. Really difficult issue with 2 small kids. Another issue we had was that our apar**ent door had no lock from the inside, when we questioned reception they said it would be a fire hazard with kids, which is bazar as we had other family staying in the normal rooms, which did have locks on their doors (many other families stayed in those rooms also) this resulted in us having to move a chair in front of the door every night, on the off chance our toddler decided to try and explore the grounds during the night - another issue we had with the door was that the key card mechanism within the door kept randomly deactivating, resulting in the door being able to be opened from the outside without a key, we had maintenance out very late at night and their fix was to slam the door repeatedly until the mechanism kicked back in, however when they left the mechanism deactivated again and it took my husband going to reception, getting the manager and showing her the door opening without a key to get them to take it seriously, this all being at about 11pm at night, and their only fix at that time was to move rooms which wasn’t an option with the kids asleep. The door wa

Our holiday at this resort was fantastic! We were welkomed in a very nice way. The room was clean and spacious. The restaurant was great. Zografina (hostess) and her team did a great job! They were very friendly and hospitable. The food was delicious. There are 3 beautiful pools at the resort with lifegards available during daytime. I would recommend this resort to everybody!

Please think carefully before parting with thousands of pounds for what is essentially a 2-star hotel. If you've already booked, please consider changing your hotel to another established 4-star hotel on Kos, where the standard will be better. The quality of this hotel is shocking in relation to the huge sum you will pay to stay here. There are 2 hotels listed under the hotel name on this site; TUI Blue Atlantica Marmari Beach and Atlantica Marmari Beach - bear this in mind during any hotel research. Neither brand should be associated with this hotel, where their presence is misleading in every possible way. Of the numerous issues: - The hotel rooms are arbitrary in quality and it is a lottery as to whether you get a refurbished room. Of the 2 un-refurbished rooms we stayed in, neither were clean or properly maintained. Our 2nd room had not been updated since the 1990's. We paid £6,300 to stay at this hotel and my husband didn't even have a bedside table – just an old lamp shoved on the floor beside the bed. - The staff were incredibly rude and unfriendly across the resort. Most will snap at you if you have any requests or complaints and a waiter in the main restaurant smacked my youngest child's hand out of the way whilst putting cutlery down on a table. When we mentioned staff rudeness to a senior member of management we were told 'the staff are rude because this is the busiest time of year' (!) - Main restaurant food is average - salty stews and soups and an abundance of salty cheese and the usual beige food. This would be bearable if there were a) enough tables and b) friendly waiting staff. There is neither. The a**osphere is like a school canteen - buffet food is taken away and you will be ordered to leave the restaurant 15 minutes before closing. - Some of the beverages are undrinkable - not for anybody who enjoys decent wine or beer. - The resort is badly maintained, especially the paving. The slope leading to the reception toilets (deep inside the basement) is more like a skate-ramp. A member of our party suffered a fall over a raised paving-slab and is receiving trea**ent for nerve damage to their face. - 1300 block rooms are very random - this was once a separate self-catering block which has been clumsily absorbed into the resort. It will cost you a lot of money to stay here and whilst the rooms are large they are also very shabby. The trek to reception is long, especially with young children in the heat. - The resort's best facilities are aimed at couples - yet this is touted as a family resort? Elia restaurant is couples only, the refurbished rooms are couples rooms, and couples are free to engage in activities which you wouldn't want your children to see in the evening (secs on sunbeds and cabanas). No monitoring by staff after dark..... - HOWEVER, staff will happily evict you and your family off the sunbeds by the beach and pool at 6pm on-the-dot in their usual friendly manner; 'get your things and go…’ - All pools and

We stayed here in August 2023 for 14 nights. Arriving in the middle of the night, after a delayed flight, we were greeted by a lovely gentleman on reception who handed us 4 food bags. We were driven by buggy to our room 1002. Wow! 2 large bedrooms, nicely decorated overlooking a football pitch, must to the delight of our 2 sons 8 & 14 yrs. I had emailed ahead and requested that wine be placed in the room for our arrival, and it was. Perfect! We sat and opened the food bags. Nothing fancy, sandwiches, crisps, fruit and juice but a lovely gesture and one which we really appreciated. In the morning we noticed that the shower wasn’t working properly and notified reception and it was fixed immediately. The hotel is beautiful. The gardens are so pretty and well maintained with lovely pink flowered trees everywhere, and the hotel itself is spotlessly clean. There a 3 large pools, 2 which are reasonably quiet and the main one with the swim up bar and slides, that is a bit livelier during the day. In addition, there is also 2 smaller pools for much smaller children. The hotel has one main restaurant that opens at set times each day. We mainly ate there during the evenings and took full advantage of the wide variety of food on offer. The food is superb and we never struggled to find something we liked. During the days, we ate at the other smaller restaurants, The Green & Grill and The Taverna. Both offered standard holiday snacks throughout the day. But in the evenings, these 2 restaurants offer a little extra special dining experience. We spent one evening, watching the waves and boats as we ate a beautifully prepared meal at The Taverna on the beach, and another at Green & Grill. The food at both of these is outstanding and well worth a visit. After attending the welcome meeting, thank you TUI, we booked several excursions including Lido, Zia By Night, Blue Lagoon and Pirate Cruise. After booking Zia, I struggled booking a restaurant reservation online and asked the reception staff to help. After all, the whole point of Zia By Night is the sunsets this mountain village is famous for. The reception staff had the same trouble as I was having in that everywhere appeared fully booked. Numerous staff made several phone calls and finally their perseverance paid off and we had a secured booking at The Sunset Taverna. Let me tell you.. We had the best seat in Zia. In a fantastic restaurant, eating amazing food.. all of which was made possible by the reception staff at our hotel. They gave us a night we will never forget! Breathtaking. Our other excursions were amazing too, Nititas Ship taking us around the many islands including the Blue Lagoon is a day we will never forget. Back at the hotel, we enjoyed nights of traditional Greek dancing, music, pool parties and so much more. This hotel knows how to make its guests feel special. The beach itself is pristine and stunning. Palm trees, plenty of beds, wind surfing and a lovely view of Turkey. A fantastic guy, wa

Only one word to describe this resort - outstanding! We arrived just after midnight and were given a food bag each: a sandwich, crisps, banana, and juice box. A lovely gesture and not something we expected at that hour! Our room was spacious and very clean. The housekeeping staff work really hard and were very friendly. We were able to hire a cot and they included extra sheets and pillows. There are lots of pool areas, each with a shaded baby pool, perfect for our 23mth old. The loungers were numerous, both by the pools and at the private beach; we could always find one with no issues. The beach itself was beautiful and had wonderful views. The main buffet restaurant had a large variety at mealtimes. The wait staff were really friendly, especially Zografina and Ekaterina. We also ate at both on-site restaurants, The Green & Grill and Ammos Taverna. Both had excellent food and catered for both my dietary needs and for our little one. We also used the Baby Lounge, which was an absolute godsend. It had air-con, a microwave for warming milk, baby changers, bouncer, cot, and low-level sofas for feeding, as well as toys and books to keep the kids occupied during the hottest part of the day. It even had a child-sized toilet and sink! We had an amazing experience here. Everyone just goes above and beyond for you, especially Lefteris and all the reception team. We would definitely like to come here again.

We went for a week’s break at the end of June (temperature about 30 degrees during the day). Overall, we loved our holiday at this hotel. Have provided a breakdown of different facilities and our thoughts: Room: We booked a family room with sliding doors as have a 2.5-year-old and the room exceeded our expectations. The family room was two separate rooms – a good size twin room for our son with TV, cupboards and a balcony (all safe) and then the main room with a king bed, space for a cot as well as plenty of additional space, fridge, tea-making set TV, good counter space and balcony. In the corridor between our rooms that also led to the room door, there were ample cupboards for clothes. Each room had a door so you could close off and ensure you didn’t disturb. There was a shared bathroom with a lovely shower (hand held shower and overhead) - the showers also have refillable wall mounted body wash dispensers which was good from a sustainability perspective but do bring your own shampoo if you need a good one for your hair.Housekeeping provided bed guards, toilet seats and stools on request which was a lovely touch. Food: We are vegetarian so were a bit worried about food but the main buffet restaurant exceeded our expectations. The first day there wasn’t a huge variety of vegetarian options outside of different salads but the head chef Michael noticed us searching and asked us if needed anything – he said they could make something special for us each night if we let them know in the morning which was a really nice touch – we had veggie lasagne and moussaka made for us (other evenings there was enough there for us to eat from the main buffet). The food was of a great standard and although there were common foods each day, there were also changes in the mains and desserts which was lovely. There was plastic coloured cutlery, plates and spoons for kids as well as a kids corner with smaller seats and a microwave too. Staff were lovely – a special mention to Tiffany, Zografina and Eugenia who always chatted with us and were great with our son. There were also two other restaurants/cafes – one by the beach which didn’t have a great veggie choice but was ok for snacks (chips, cheese toasties, fruit and ice cream) as was the other one by the main pool (veggie burger and chips). Do take a water bottle with you (one per person) as they provide one big water bottle in the fridge on the first day and after that there are refill points around the hotel that can be used - from a sustainability perspective I really like this as reduces wasted plastic water bottles. Facilities and activities: 4 swimming pools all of which were good, the beach which was 5 minutes’ walk away but had enough sun beds for us all and the sea was wavy but suitable to swim in and enjoy – in the evenings you could view the sunset from here which was a must to do. The spa was reasonably priced and we did a bundle of 4 x 30-minute back and neck massages which were amazing! Using the
