Hotels in Kunming Changshui International Airport, Kunming

One of the best services I've experienced in any hotel globally. And this is coming from someone who travels constantly and has lived in hotels for the last 2+ years. The team were always smiling, so friendly and approachable. I spoke to Miss Zhong Zhong often who was delightful, helping with anything and everything. The rooms are very clean, laundry room is very convenient and the garden restaurant was delightful. Delicious fresh food, and lots of vegetables that they grow themselves. It would be a pleasure to come back to this hotel.

Good value for money for those who need a hotel near the airport in late hours. Each unit is a standalone cabin with a bedroom, a small living room, and a bathroom. The air conditioner is located in the living room and there is no air conditioner in the bedroom. So the room to the bedroom has to be left open to get the cool air. This can be a bit of a problem as there is no blind on the main entrance door, making it a bit bright in the room. Breakfast was basic but adequate. Overall, it is good value for money and we may stay here again if needed.

We arrived at 2am at Kunming Changshui Airport and driver had already sent me a WeChat msg asking to let him know after we collected our baggage. For travelers visiting Kunming for the first time, it’s best to let hotel know in advance that you need airport pickup one day in advance. We did that and it was seamless for us. The check-in was fast and the room was clean and quiet. It is common that guests could smoke in the rooms and this is something we are not quite used to. Overall, I’ll still give a big thumbs up for those considering to try out this hotel!

Environment: There is nothing to say about the environment. I enjoy sitting quietly in the yard drinking tea. Service: The guy is very nice. He responds to any questions in a timely manner and takes the initiative to help with luggage. Cleanliness: When I went there, I happened to see a new four-piece suit being replaced, and the cleaning was done very quietly. The breakfast made by aunt is also very good.

We had a short stay between flight. We have chosen the Country Inn and Suites and found out that it was formerly a Jinjang Inn with the well known set-up of the former chain. It has nothing in common with a Country Inn Suites as encountered in the US or i Europe. The hotel area is in a distance of less than 10 kms from the airport. There are many hotels of the same type and great variety of restaurants just a few steps away. . The hotel rooms are of good size. The room and the bathroom were clean. The beds are super comfortable. WiFi was working without any problem, but with the usual restriction that foreign internet services could not be reached. No English speaking person was present, but to facilitate was called from a neighbouring hotel.. The breakfast is very basic and not much can be found to the taste of Western clients. The pick-up from the airport did not materialise. After 45 minutes we called for a Didi taxi. I recommend this hotel for a night in transit but definite not for visiting Kunming.

2 adults + 1 child ‘s review: We stayed for a few hours only. Checked in at 6pm and out at 11pm but we went out from 7 to 10pm 😂. It’s a good place to rest while waiting for red eye flight. Need to call them to activate pick up service so might be good to add them on WeChat in advance if you do not have a local number. The shower’s water pressure was VERY strong. The AI “xiao ai tong xue” can help manage lights/aircon/calls/tv/alarm. There are a few hotels in this area and it’s conveniently near the airport. But it will be better to stay at a location nearer downtown because it’s about 20~30mins ride to town.

What an experience! Like something out of a romance novel, from the extravagant entrance, to the sweeping stair cases, to the Louis 16th furniture, including artwork, gilt edges, romance and comfort... it had the lot. The Spa facilities were amazing. Pools, pools and more pools! Manicured grassed areas, intimate treed walkways, arches, marble, stone, statues, ponds and fountains. Just delightful. The staff were amazing as well. No English at reception, but they were quick with the translators. Definitely felt like a queen at this place. Location was a bit strange...half way between city centre and airport, the surrounds were primarily industrial, and main attractions were about 20 minutes away by Didi, but the price to convenience ratio was still good. Definitely recommend it, even if just for the furnishings!

This hotel is a perfect experience! The location is easy to find, with convenient parking. The room is clean and hygienic, the bed is a perfect firmness, and the bathroom has separate wet and dry areas. The hotel also has excellent amenities, including a gym and laundry room, which are very useful. The staff are friendly and polite, and any issues they have are resolved quickly. I highly recommend this hotel!

Booked this hotel as we had an early morning flight back to Singapore. Our booking included a free shuttle to the airport, which we booked upon our check-in. The ride to the airport was fast and safe. Unfortunately, there wasn't a free shuttle to/from the train station, so we took a taxi directly. Huge compliments to the concierge team! They were prompt in answering my queries on the delivery address as I planned to order some stuff from Taobao. My items got shipped to the locker instead of the concierge counter, and I was concerned I wouldn't have time for collection since we were scheduled to arrive at 11pm and check-out in a few hours at 4:30am. Upon my request, the concierge team was helpful and efficient in assisting to collect my items and had them ready for me upon check-in. The welcome cookie was a nice touch and the room was a great surprise as it was very clean, bright and included a bathtub which we didn't have time to use. Once again, many thanks to the concierge and reception team for your prompt assistance! It was a short few hours but a great experience at DoubleTree by Hilton Kunming Airport!

The hotel is very new. The service is very good - both the front desk and the lady who served late night dinner. The check-in was very efficient and they reminded me that the late night dinner was closing. I arrived there almost at 11:30pm, tired and starving. I really appreciate that bowl of rice noodle with meat sauce. Also they provide 24 hour shuttle to airport which is super convenient for me. It takes about 15 minutes.
