Honestly, 'The Street Where the Wind Dwells' B&B is the most comfortable and genuinely hospitable place I've ever stayed in Lijiang! The location is absolutely fantastic! It's nestled in a quiet alley right by the Old Town, just a few minutes' walk to all the lively spots, yet incredibly peaceful at night – you won't hear a peep. The rooms genuinely feel upscale! We booked the 'Stargazer Room', and through its huge glass window, you get panoramic views of the Old Town rooftops. At night, you can even see the stars – enjoying the night view while soaking in the tub was pure bliss. But the absolute highlight was the owner, Brother Ma – he's incredibly warm and genuine! The moment we arrived at the alley entrance, he jogged out from afar to help us with our luggage. As soon as we stepped inside, he offered us tea – not just out of politeness, but he genuinely chatted with us, sharing tips on authentic local restaurants and small pubs with a great vibe. Even when we came back late at night, we'd often find him in the courtyard, chatting and having tea with other guests. It truly felt like coming home to family. On our departure day, he even gave us some of his homemade cherry wine, saying, ”Come back next time for another drink, and remember the wind of Lijiang!” His words truly warmed my heart. This B&B offers a much more authentic and enjoyable experience than a typical hotel. If I ever return to Lijiang, I'll definitely be staying at 'The Street Where the Wind Dwells' again!

On this trip to Lijiang, staying at this guesthouse in the ancient town felt like a journey back in time. The guesthouse is built in a traditional Naxi architectural style, featuring wooden structures and intricately carved doors and windows, exuding an ancient charm. The courtyard, filled with various flowers, plants, and antique bonsai, was delightfully fragrant. The room itself was cozy and beautifully appointed, ensuring a very comfortable stay. Its location is superb, right by the ancient town. It's just a short walk to Sifang Street and Mufu Residence, and you step right out into lively streets and alleys. Yet, despite the proximity to bustling areas, it was surprisingly peaceful at night, guaranteeing a restful sleep. The owner was incredibly warm and hospitable, sharing fascinating insights into the ancient town's history and recommending delicious Naxi dishes. I would absolutely choose to stay here again on my next visit.

Nice rooftop with a good view, I wish I stayed one extra day to enjoy it. The room itself was clean and comfortable. There are umbrellas for you to borrow for free (we came in the rainy season). The shower is walled off so the bathroom won't get wet when you shower. Unfortunately the conditioner is not very good, but I find that common in Chinese hotels. There is free laundry but you have to hang dry the clothes, so make sure you do laundry early. The hotel is located near the north side of Lijiang Ancient City, so it's a little closer to Baisha ancient town, but a bit far from Zhongyi Night Market and the Lijiang public bus station (丽江客运站). It's a 20-30 min walk from north side to south side. No free oxygen cannisters, the last time I was in Lijiang I stayed at a different hotel and they had free cannisters from previous guests who didn't use it. Only one pillow per bed, although we asked for an extra pillow and got one with no hassle. Overall it was a nice stay, especially for the price.

This establishment was everything we hoped it would be and more! So it rightfully deserves a review in both english and mandarin. FanChenLi Inn is a family run minsu, opened 4 years ago. The husband and wife team were once tour group planners who planned non commercial type tours for tourists who wanted something more authentic. Their hospitality was through the roof, they always went the extra mile and we would 110% come back! The property is very aesthetically pleasing with many common areas to hang out in, there is always fruits and tea, and it’s very conveniently located - just a short 5-7 min walk into the ancient city. Their son, Ah Song, is extreme well versed in the way of tea, having learnt from him father from a tender age. We had tea with him several times where he introduced us to the various teas, fruit wines and even local produce from Lijiang. We really enjoyed these sessions as we felt they were like chats between friends. They also sometimes grind their own Yunnan coffee beans for guests! We stayed for 2 nights and had a spacious, clean and comfortable room with a huge bed. The room had an open plan living room, a tv projector, a hidden alcove for a bath and a very functional bathroom. We were constantly taken care of. When we couldn’t order take away they helped without hesitation and gave us many local recommendations on where to go. 这家民宿完全超出了我们的期待！因此它值得同时用英文和中文来好好赞美一番。 梵尘里•设计师花园美宿民宿，开业已有四年。老板夫妻曾经是旅游团策划人，专为想要体验更真实、更非商业化旅行的游客规划行程。 他们的热情好客真是满分，总是为客人多走一里路，我们绝对会百分之一百一再光顾！整个院子非常有美感，设有许多可供休憩的公共区域，随时都有水果和茶水供应，而且位置极佳——步行 5 到 7 分钟即可到达古城。 他们的儿子阿松从小便跟随父亲学习茶道，造诣颇深。我们与他多次一起品茶，他细心地为我们介绍各种茶叶、水果酒，甚至还有丽江的当地特产。我们非常享受这些时光，感觉就像和朋友聊天一样。他们有时还会为客人现磨云南咖啡豆呢！ 我们在这里住了两晚，房间宽敞、干净又舒适，大床超大。房间是开放式设计，有客厅、投影电视、一个隐蔽的泡澡区，以及非常实用的卫浴空间。 在整个入住期间，我们始终被细心照顾。当我们无法点外卖时，他们毫不犹豫地帮忙，还热情地给了我们许多本地游玩的建议。

One of the best homestays I’ve ever stayed at! This place is really cleaned, and the views are incredible. It’s also ideally located — just a 10 mins walk to Lijiang Ancient Town, which makes it super convenient for exploring anytime. You’ll have easy access to food, and since many drivers from attractions like Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and Tiger Leaping Gorge typically drop off and pick up in the Old Town, the accommodation's close proximity means these drivers would often offer to drop you directly at the homestay. The owner is incredibly friendly and approachable. He made sure to connect with me on WeChat so I could reach out if needed, and even asked if I had my attraction tickets bought, offering to check their validity - such a thoughtful touch. When I needed an early ride to one of the attractions, he helped arrange a driver for me (really reasonably priced) , anticipating that I might have trouble finding one due to the early hours. Overall, my stay was fantastic, and I highly recommend this place! If you’re thinking about booking, don’t hesitate—just go for it!

What a highlight! Drowning in countless online guides and unable to choose, we made a lightning-fast decision within five minutes of arriving in Lijiang, booking this place with a little 'leap of faith.' Who knew it would turn out to be the luckiest decision of our entire Lijiang trip! Absolutely no disappointments! The hostess is absolutely lovely. Her hospitality isn't just commercial; she truly felt like a long-lost friend – so genuine and incredibly thoughtful. We didn't really have a plan, but when we were about to head out, she even took our available time and preferences into account to map out the most sensible and authentic routes for shopping and sightseeing. We perfectly avoided the crowds and got to experience the true charm of Lijiang Old Town. The guesthouse itself is also fantastic. The rooms are spotless, and all the facilities are well-appointed. The location is incredibly convenient too, right at the entrance of the Old Town. The hostess is genuinely such a wonderful person... she even let us use her kitchen! Finally, I got to savor my friend's homemade braised pork – I could die happy after that! Oh, and did I mention, there's a cat! The cat's name is Guaiguai (which means 'obedient'), and it truly lives up to it! It loves being petted, hugged, and even kissed – just absolutely adorable!! Next time I visit Lijiang, I will absolutely stay here again! I wish the hostess a flourishing business, and for Guaiguai to stay healthy and delightfully chubby!

The moment we stepped into the B&B, we were immediately impressed by its grand and comfortable atmosphere. The only minor point was that the main entrance felt a bit small. Our reserved room was impeccably clean, fully equipped, and even featured a private hot spring bath with views of the ancient town. The B&B also has an elevator that goes straight up to the fifth-floor observation deck, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the entire ancient town. ☺️☺️ Both the owner and staff were incredibly warm, thoughtful, and provided excellent, attentive service throughout our stay. This B&B truly exceeded all our expectations! 😍😍 We absolutely loved our trip to Lijiang, Yunnan, and the B&B definitely made it even more special and memorable. 🥰🥰🥰 If you're looking to explore the ancient town, this place is an outstanding choice, as the main entrance to the town is right downstairs.

Right from the beginning they answered all my questions and we had breakfast included with airport pickup. They were always extending help and friendly. The only issue was the laundry which it’s not advisable if you have white clothes or clothes that can’t use dryer to dry. Staffs are kind helping to carry luggage and bringing hot milk to you every night. We got free fruits and snacks and even a cake and tea leaves before we left. Felt taken care of. The only thing was the wifi wasn’t good and there’s no full length mirror and fridge or hot water to drink. You can request to ask them to bring for u or keep in their fridge. Be careful of the free photography service offered. It’s not actually free and they took a lot of our time. Originally it was 3 hours but became 8 hours and we had to choose the picture on the spot. There is other places offering cheaper if price is not an issue you can consider it.

What a fantastic Lijiang private hot spring guesthouse! We definitely picked the right place this time. Staying at this Lijiang guesthouse with our child was such a delightful surprise! The private hot spring in our room had the perfect water temperature; our child absolutely loved soaking in it and had a sound night's sleep afterward. It's conveniently located very close to the Old Town, just a few minutes' walk away, making it incredibly easy to explore and find places to eat. The guesthouse itself was clean and well-maintained, with a refreshing scent of plants and wood in the air, creating a truly comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. For our two-night stay, shuttle service was included, so we didn't have to worry about transportation at all. The afternoon tea was also delightful, with fresh pastries and fragrant tea. Both our child and we were completely satisfied. We'll definitely choose this place again next time we visit Lijiang!

The guesthouse is charmingly quaint, preserving its original ethnic style, and offers beautiful views of the old town from the rooms. Most importantly, the owner is incredibly helpful, proactively carrying our luggage up to the third floor, recommending attractions, and patiently answering our questions. Fantastic!
