Hotels in Yulong Snow Mountain Scenic Area, Lijiang

I came to Yunnan alone during the off-season and got upgraded to a larger room at this hotel in Yuhu Village for free! I am really satisfied with the hotel environment and service! You can see the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain from the room during the day and the stars at night. The housekeeper at the front desk was really considerate. She would remind us of the sunrise time the next day so that we could watch the sunrise over the Golden Mountain from the room. She would also send us a message to remind us to wear more clothes as it was cold the next day. All in all, it was a very satisfying stay and I will definitely come again!

One of the most special hotels we’ve experienced in our China trip. 小邰 Xiao Tai was super helpful throughout our stay from arranging airport pick up to nearby activities like Naxi family visits, complimentary photoshoots, campfire experience and mountain sunrise trips. He even delivered the afternoon tea set to our room since we arrived late from the airport! We really enjoyed our stay because of him. The room is super clean and has floor heating if it gets cold. The staff provides water, snacks and pot noodles free of charge every day. Breakfast was lovely especially the noodles and chicken hot pot! You can also ask for medicines in case you experience high altitude sickness for free.

I’ve just returned to my home country, and I’m already missing my stay at Aromatic Hotel! The location is perfect—nestled right at the foot of Yulong Mountain, where you can witness the breathtaking golden sunrise every morning. The hospitality at Aromatic Hotel is exceptional. Even before our arrival, they contacted us with helpful details about check-in and provided valuable information about Yuhu Village. As female travelers, we truly appreciated how attentive, caring, and thoughtful they were throughout our stay. The most amazing surprise was the room upgrade! They gave us a spacious room with stunning mountain views. It was warm and cozy, thanks to the staff who made sure the heater was on before we arrived. The bed and pillows were incredibly fluffy, and we had the most restful sleep. A special highlight of the hotel was the adorable cats and kittens—they added such a charming and homely touch to the experience. If you’re visiting the area, I highly recommend staying at Aromatic Hotel. With its amazing location, thoughtful hospitality, and cozy atmosphere, it’s truly an unforgettable place to stay.

It was my first time staying at this B&B located in Yuhu Village at the foot of the snow-capped mountains. The experience was amazing. The entire B&B is built of stone, and I was amazed at first sight. The overall design of the B&B is very artistic. The room is very clean and tidy, and the toiletries are also excellent. After check-in, they also provide afternoon tea, coffee, and desserts. If the weather is good, you can sit in their courtyard, sip coffee, and feel the breeze at the foot of the snow-capped mountains. It feels very comfortable. The owner also helped us with a lot of pitfalls in Lijiang. They also provide airport pick-up and drop-off services. The location is right in Yuhu Square, so it is super convenient to take the bus. It was a super, super, wonderful stay. Recommended.

This is an up and coming small town, very cozy and unique character. There are still many renovation and construction along the mainstreet. This hotel has a famous photo shooting point that the snow mountain is on the background. The hotel is very nicely decorated. The staff is very helpful to take care our luggage into and out of the room. The room and deco are very nice and warmth feeling. It's not a big hotel, and feels like private villa. There's also a coffee counter downstairs, but they open a bit late, I think 10am. The room comes with breakfast, and it's ok breakfast (rice noodles and some small bites). It would be great if coffee was served but no, we could only get somewhat warm milk. We only had breakfast once because there are other places that serve more interesting food. You will definitely love the hotel's vibe and atmosphere, and we highly recommend.

Opening the curtains revealed stunning snow-capped mountains. We were incredibly lucky to witness a sky full of stars during the evening stargazing activity, and then woke up to the breathtaking 'Golden Mountain' phenomenon (sun illuminating the peaks) in the morning. Perhaps due to the high altitude, we didn't sleep very well at night, and unfortunately, my child experienced altitude sickness the next day. However, the hotel's service was prompt and responsive. Overall, it's a worthwhile experience. Regarding the BoJue Travel Photography Dual Image Service: simple makeup costs 100/person, and additional photos are 80/photo after the first five. I'm not sure if this pricing is considered high, but the photo editing was so extensive my own family couldn't even recognize me, hahahaha. For the one-time welcome fruit and daily mini-bar soft drinks in the room: I'm not a fan of overly sweet beverages, and the welcome fruit was just a few winter dates and two oranges. Happy Hour Snacks (Buffet): The afternoon tea was quite good, with buffet options.

This is a good place to stay for a night if you want to feel like you are really in the outdoors and away from the tourist areas. It’s a basic campsite and was very quiet when we stayed here. It seems a bit outdated but the campervan had everything we needed and was really cosy and warm, not cold at all. There’s an amusement park nearby but there didn’t seem to be many people there when we looked into going. Lots of horse riding sites and small coffee shops on the road leading up to the campsite, but other than that not many place to eat/ drink. A great place to go for a wander and see the outdoors.

This time I traveled to Yuhu Village in Lijiang. I was originally disappointed with the popular B&Bs on the Internet. I have been cheated several times by B&Bs that appeared in various Internet photos. After being recommended by a friend, I finally booked Houyuan in Yuhu Village. It really gave the trip a big surprise. The five-star hotel is exquisite yet exudes the warmth of home. I was worried that I would be bored in the mountains, but I ended up participating in the ”Nature Class” at the homestay. After the walk, I was able to recognize several alpine plants. It was a pity that I didn't get to see the ”Golden Mountain in the Sun” due to the weather, but it was really worth it to be able to quietly stare at the bottom of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and drink a cup of coffee. The predecessor of Houyuan was the ”Xuesong Inn” in Yuhu Village founded in 1999. It was once a hidden B&B recommended by ”Lonely Planet”. In fact, it is the old courtyard next door and the owner's old house. I didn't pay any attention to it when I passed by during the day. In the evening, the owner took out several large albums of messages to introduce them to us. There were photos and letters from all over the world in them, which really amazed us. I had breakfast and dinner at the B&B. I think they were the two most comfortable meals I had this time. There was no excessive seasoning, but the ingredients were so good. Vegetables, tomatoes and chicken were all cooked in the simplest way, with the taste of childhood. In the restaurant, the boss kept feeding me and was always concerned about whether the amount was enough. Will come again, highly recommended!

The room was impeccably clean and tidy! The decor was thoughtfully designed, both stylish and incredibly cozy and comfortable. The bedding was high-quality, with just the right amount of firmness. I slept soundly, completely relieving my travel fatigue. The bathroom was also new, with plenty of hot water. The attention to detail was evident throughout, and the owner's taste and commitment to quality were evident. The owner was incredibly kind and attentive! From the moment I made the reservation, communication was smooth. The owner responded promptly and patiently answered all my questions. Upon arrival, the owner personally greeted me warmly, like an old friend. It felt like a welcome change. He not only provided detailed information about the B&B and the surrounding area, but also shared hidden gems and authentic local delicacies only locals know!

We stayed at Stone Hotel 石头厝 for 4 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it! I am so glad we discovered it after searching on Trip.com for quite a while. We were looking for a hotel in Lijiang that is quiet and peaceful, with views of Yulong Snow Mountain, and has the modern comforts of a luxurious boutique hotel. The hotel is located outside of Lijiang town, approximately 30-40min drive, and right next to Yuhu Village. If we needed to go anywhere, the hotel provides a car drop-off service in a luxurious MPV. It’s also easy to call a car on DiDi. The room is beautifully designed with elements of copper and wood, blending modern and traditional. The bed and pillows are among the most comfortable I’ve slept in during my travels. Being a city girl, I’m delighted with the Dyson hairdryer, Marshall speaker, and Aesop hand soap! The free mini fridge is stocked with beer, Perrier sparkling water, soft drinks, and if not enough, just pop over to the restaurant where the fridge and fruit bar is open and free all day! The amazing variety of fruits are the sweetest I’ve tasted, all grown locally. Even the nuts are sweet, I think they roast them in some sweet milk. The restaurant serves a variety of dishes but we had hotpot every dinner just because the soup is so delicious and the meats so tender. At dinner, the Naxi brothers will drink a toast and sing for every guest as their way of welcoming the guests and treating them as friends. If you dare to, try their local herbal/fruit alcohol (very strong!) We also love that for breakfast, they serve a selection of local side dishes which we enjoyed trying. Their concierge/front desk team welcomed us warmly even before arriving (via WeChat), and supported us very well throughout our stay. The whole experience of coordinating airport pickup and booking their various activities and amenities (afternoon tea, evening drink, dinner, car) was seamless and fast. Before going out, the front desk staff always makes sure that we are well equipped for the day with water, umbrella, oxygen, chocolates. All the staff are always happy and friendly, making us feel like we are friends because the service is so personalized. We chatted with many of them and had the chance to learn a little about each of them, their lives and their culture. They know that we love playing with their dogs and the little lamb DuoDuo, and gave us many chances to play with them and even feed little DuoDuo. One can feel that they love their work there. After leaving, we are still missing little DuoDuo, the amazing staff and warm hospitality, and the comfortable room. I’ve traveled to many places, and this is one of the rare times where I miss the place and the people so much. We highly recommend Stone Hotel 石头厝 to anyone visiting Lijiang! And I hope we have to chance to come back and stay with them again.
