Left us hungry at 8:20. We were told by two of the staff the Bistro closed at 8pm and the Restaurant up stairs, 9pm. We relaxed and enjoyed the hot tub until 7:30. We decided to go to the restaurant. We arrived at the restaurant at 8:17 and were told all kitchens were closed. We started our day at 6am. We rode our Skidoos 270 miles and now they tell us no food available. We asked for any available option and they directed us to the vending machines outside the bistro. So $405 dollars a night and we are eating ruffles potato chips.

Great family stay, lots of activities, nice staff, beautiful premises/environment. We went in winter and some of the activities we did was: fat bike riding, indoor/outdoor pool, scavenger hunt, roasted marshmallows over a camp fire... kids and I want to go back in summer.

Beautiful, peaceful, relaxing, rustic and exactly what the Dr ordered for rest and relaxation. Everything you can want to be able to enjoy the outdoors and indoors. Loved the multiple fire places to be able to sit around and relax, inside and out. Walking trails to enjoy the fall colors were amazing. The room was very nice and clean. Bed super comfortable. Bedding very nice and crisp. Appreciated having a fridge in the room. Didn't go to main restaurant but bistro food very good. Service was a bit slow though. Staff all very happy to help. Excellent stay. Would highly recommend.

Site and staff are awesome. Many activities but beware as fatbikes are badly adjusted (problem shifting gears and braking). The Room was beautiful but was badly finished. Breakfast are very good and there is a lot of choice. Diner meal was not up to our expectations though. The chef is inspired by autochtone cuisine but failed to deliver for some reasons (chicken and duck were dry, ingredients somtimes did not go along very well and dosage was questionable). To be noted there are BBQ stations outsite near the rooms so you can cook your own stuff (maybe a fish you catch in the lake?).

We walked to the Auberge from the Parc régional du Lac Taureau campground (south sector) -- about an hour's walk alongside the lake -- a wonderful and easy walk to do. We wanted to check out the restaurant, but needed a reservation for after 8 PM, which we couldn't really do, as that would mean walking back to camp in the dark. So we tried the bistro downstairs for drinks and food. Sat outside on the patio. Not too many choices on the menu, but we tried the beef burrito bowl, onion soup, and a poutine. Food was okay (the beef in the burrito bowl was ground beef, and the onion soup could've been better). Nevertheless, service was great, the staff were helpful and kind, there was a fire pit outside we could enjoy, and just being able to eat after a nice walk was good enough.

It was our second time at the Auberge du Lac Taureau, but our first time during winter (first time in August 2020). Site is really nice, a lot of activities available, rooms are nice and clean, staff is amazing. Food was really good (buffet) but the only thing I could suggest to have a better next stay is a dinner restaurant with table service (buffet for breakfast is ok). We love that place and we will certainly go back soon!

This site is lovely and the staff is amazing. Rooms are great and we have a great choice of activities. They are very organized in terms of animation. We decided to take off a star because of the food quality that we rate as a A- at the most and the quality of the ice pond that needs a bit more love.

My husband took me on a surprise birthday trip to visit Quebec and snowmobile all weekend! He could not have chose a more perfect accommodation than Auberge Du Lac Taureau! The entire resort and rooms are absolutely gorgeous not to mention all the amenities, including a Bistro with delicious food, a pool, hot tubs and and outdoor Nordic spa! We also took advantage of the beautiful spa located under the lobby. Our massage therapists were Sophie and Genevieve and I can speak for us both when I say, for two people who have had many massages, these were two of the best we’ve ever had! This will now be an annual destination for us to enjoy beautiful trail systems, and the culture of Canada.

Stopped in for lunch while snowmobiling thru the area. Very few options on the overpriced lunch menu. No children options at all. Very poorly organized and slow service... We placed our order and within a few minutes, 3 other servers came by to take our order. Then 2 more came by and asked if we were done and ready for the bill. I explained to all 5 that we were waiting for our food. After about 45-50 min of waiting a manager came by and asked what we had ordered and said she would look into it. Our original server came back and took our order again stating it had been lost... Once we finally received our food the order was wrong... When finally corrected the food was barely warm, the meat overcooked, overseasoned and dry. It took over 90 min from placing our original order to receiving our food... We won't be back.
