Gosenjaku Hotel Kamikochi

Thank you for your help every year. It's a wonderful hotel with wonderful views of the mountains, excellent French cuisine made with local ingredients, and a clean interior that makes it hard to believe that it's deep in the mountains. However, there was one disappointing thing this year. The breakfast rice balls are gone. I've been staying with you for over 10 years, and one of the joys of staying here was the pork soup and rice balls for breakfast, so I'm very disappointed. I'm sure there are many other people looking forward to it. I will stay here again next year in hopes of making a comeback.

The hotel is in a great location right in front of the Kappa Bridge. A very modern hotel offering a pleasant stay. Kappa Bridge is right in front of the hotel, so you can get a great view from the front of the hotel even early in the morning. The restaurant, although small, is also very nice and well-stocked. At night, I had French, but they were all delicious ❗️ Is the chef a sommelier? Like, wine is also abundant. The breakfast is a mixture of Japanese and Western styles, all of which are delicious. There is a wide variety of dishes such as pork miso soup and rice, * dishes and bread. This hotel is recommended for Kamikochi.

We stayed on the Mt. Rokuhyaku side. It didn't matter if it wasn't on the Kappa Bridge side, probably because it rained at night and dawn and the visibility was poor. If you look at the rooms on the Kappa Bridge side from the outside, there are tall trees in front, and depending on the room, the view may not be that great. I heard that the bath was small, but probably because it was the off-season, there were a lot of men on the side, so there was plenty of room for about 3 people. The women didn't seem to have to wait that long. For breakfast, you can choose from bread, rice balls, and rice porridge. At the end of the corridor on the accommodation floor, there are cardboard boxes and packing tape for shipping, so it's convenient to pack up souvenirs and unnecessary items and send them back. There was Othello in the common room, so I played it while taking a break after dinner.

It was my second stay and I had a good time. Beer and tea in the refrigerator in the room are free. Bathrobes, one-piece pajamas, and slippers are provided. Even though there are toothbrushes and combs in the room amenities, the lotion was an extra charge of 550 yen. I want to reduce my luggage, so it's better to be in an area where you can't drive your own car. There may be one in the public bath. I haven't been to the public bath, but I feel a little safe because the number of people in the bath is limited to 4 at a time. The unit bath in the room was beautiful with a separate toilet and washing area. The restaurant was full for dinner, and the full course French menu was new and delicious. It's a pity that the dessert ice cream was melted badly. Drinks are about 2000 yen per glass at the price of sightseeing spots. It seems that there were many wines from Nagano. The restaurant's breakfast is simple, *a plate with accompaniments to the main dish. It was a method to go get pork soup and drinks by yourself.

As a benefit of e-mail magazine members, I was ranked up from the mountain side. There is no balcony, but the sashes are new and you can relax with tea and sweets on the long bench sofa. The toilet was independent, the wall-mounted TV, the waffle slippers for the room, and the pajamas were new and comfortable. Outside slippers are still slippery. One point, when the LCD clock was dazzling and I took a rest, I covered the light. If it's hot, open a window with a solid screen and you'll get fresh air right away. I visit every June, and it is a wonderful inn where I can fully enjoy my favorite Kamikochi. Since we stayed consecutive nights, the abalone dish on the second day was very impressive. 常宿の五千尺ホテルさんへの、久しぶりの投稿です。 今回も４階のバルコニーでの宿泊です。 天気は、曇りのち雨との事でしたが、 穂高連峰そして焼岳が雲がない状態で 綺麗に見る事が出来ました。 カラマツの紅葉もギリギリで見る事が出来ました! 接客は、パーフェクト楽しく宿泊出来ました。 今回の夕食は何時もより進化して本当に美味かったです! ただ、朝食でおにぎりとトーストが無くなったのは、ちょっと残念でした。 しかし来年も既に２回予約しています。 是非おにぎりとトーストの復活を期待したいと思います!
