Three families stayed in a room with an open-air hot spring each. The hotel seems to be based on Ubud in Bali, and the lobby and terrace have a slightly Balinese atmosphere. All three rooms we stayed in were made in a pure Japanese style. The rooms are very spacious and not cramped. The open-air hot spring bath is also great. However, since the washing area is outside, it may be difficult to wash your body on really cold days. The food is not amazing, but it is okay. The staff are uniformly kind and full of hospitality. This is my first time staying in Matsushima (I'm from Sendai, so I may have stayed there as a child), but I highly recommend this hotel in the Matsushima area.

夕食は時間をかけて、ゆっくりと前菜からデザートまで種類が豊富でとても大変美味しいかったです。特にホテル独自の梅酒です（購入することが出来ないのがとても残念でした） 眺望は2階では特段良いとは思いませんでした。 風呂付のお部屋でお風呂のカーテンに汚れ（カビ？）が付着していたのが気になり清潔感は感じられなかった。スタッフさんは言葉使いが優しく心地良かったです。
