The Håverud Hotell was the highlight of my trip to Sweden. The hotel is on the lake, and walking distance to the Håverud aqueduct. The views are breathtaking, and the service is unparalleled. It’s a family run hotel, the owners Cecelia and Jonas are amazing! I rented a kayak for several hours, an e bike for a day, and did a 2 hour floating sauna session. They serve fresh breakfast every morning. I ate dinner here two of the nights as well, the burger and fries were phenomenal. I’m sad I have to leave, I can’t wait to come back. Also worth mentioning that as a female solo traveler, I felt very safe the entire time. Cecelia went out of her way to drive me to the train station the morning of my departure.

We stayed in the riverside cottage with a great lake view, so we could go into the lake right from our terrace. We had beautiful summer weather so the swimming was a joy. The cottage was well equipped. The staff is extremely friendly, we got a warm welcome and they take time for a chat with the guests. Free coffee and cookies all day, average but good breakfast. Dinner menu offers some simple but tasteful dishes. We were waked up early by guests of the chalets right behind us, who were talking on their balcony in the early morning. The chalets are built a bit too close to another. The hotel and cottages are situated in beautiful surroundings (lakes, forests) very close to the Håverud Aquaduct.

We loved our stay at this hotel. The staff were exceptionally good - so friendly and helpful. The location is great for exploring the Dalsland area. We were able to hike, swim, paddle board, and kayak. The food at the hotel restaurant was excellent. We'll be back!

Fantastisk serviceminded personal, fick massa tips och inga problem med nåt. Jättefräsch frukost och bra mat avnjöts till underbar utsikt. Kan varmt rekommendera detta familjeägda hotell, så trevlig vistelse.

Habitación muy grande, el baño limpio con suelo de sintasol. Almohadas muy comodas, vistas espectaculares al lago. El personal de recepción muy atento y educado, nos dejamos unas gafas de sol y se comprometió por escrito a mandárnoslo. El desyuno aceptable, quizas le faltaba algun dulce más. Como en casi todos los hoteles de Escandinavia nadie habla Español y no hay carteles en Español. Por lo demás... recomendable.
