First, found a dead BUG on the bed spread immediately upon entry. And chucked it off as "at least it's dead." Then went to get food, Came back and found a LIVE BUG crawling down the drawer of the center table between the beds. Then another LIVE BUG on the floor. Then ANOTHER on the other table where my small bag was.
No way was I staying there. Went right to the office but was told that because I was already checked in over 10 minutes, their policy doesn't allow refunds. I politely asked them to waive that policy due to outstanding conditions: BUGS, lots of them. The clerk called higher manager who approved only 50% refund. I persisted for a full refund unsuccessfully. They could have done much better and given me a full refund. They offered another room but my confidence was not in that hotel. Why didn't they give me that "bugless" room first?
It is the worst place in the world to stay. BUGS and then TIGHTWAD SERVICE not to give full refund. Another thing is the motel is right next to the train tracks entering town and they sound the big ol' train honk horn terrifically as they enter the town. The walls don't muffle the sound.
