Staying in someone's home in another country is amazing. Having the opportunity to talk with them about their every day life is quite an adventure. The location of the facility is such that we parked in a nearby parking lot and walked up - the road is VERY narrow! Cathy and Jean Marie were excellent hosts. We were there two nights and our dates were in between other guests. We had picked up a sandwich in Arles on our way and had some wine left over from one of our stops - thus we were set for dinner; we ate on the upstairs outdoor balcony near our upstairs room. The village is small and there isn't anywhere really close by to eat. The 2nd night we walked up the hill to the village and purchased cheese, meats, olives and bread for our dinner. Since we were driving we didn't want to be out after dark in the car. This is a small village and there is a beautiful church nearby that rings the bells in the evening and morning (call to prayer)! Jean Marie prepared our lovely breakfast both mornings with Cathy popping in to chat (they share this duty depending on their work schedule). The courtyard is charming and the weather was perfect. Jean Marie also drew us a map and told us of nearby places to see and eat. We had a lovely day touring around Caracassone and other little nearby villages.
